  1. ######. have to replace another keyboard shorted out from drool. Fantastic work again John and if people can find stuff to nitpick over they obviously have too much time on their hands

  6. looking good Jarod, I wasn't to sure about that color at first but it semms to have grown on me
  7. Thanks Niko, bit more priming and sanding today, fixed the wheelbase started the interior. Not going to be super detailing ,just enough to look the part. First blast of colour
  8. Very cool, love the shotgun fed of the two but both are very nice builds
  9. oh yeah!!!! awesome man
  10. Thanks guys, well despite the three or four or more hours put into this you probably wont even see it . I'd cut nearly all the way through the sides of the car then straightened them to remove some of the curve under the body, otherwise they cut right into the slick . Its actually widened the body by about 4 or 5 mm each side at the bottom. Started on the blower shroud /cowl and put the fins on the wing. Primed and touched up the filler then sanded just before these pics, which dont show much.
  11. FastStone Photo Resizer or Irfanview both free downloads from Cnet /Download.com. Very safe site IMO and both easy to use.
  12. looks great Joe, love the stance
  13. decided I could do better so pulled the homemade fibre off. Made the rear wing and painted the front of the frame. While waiting for that to dry mocked it up on another "built" chassis to check the ride hight. Heres how it sits
  14. very very cool and great detailing as well
  15. was playing around with the airbrush again today, still got two more colors to go
  16. newer tool revell body on top sportsman chassis with resin funnycar engine mated to the top sportsman lenco tried making carbon fibre stickers I guess out of tamiya tape and paint ,they're a bit thick and the patterns a bit faint in places but for something that'll hardly be seen it may be alright.(Try and get better pic tomorrow)
  17. awesome work man! I'm drooling over your engine especially, keep up the great work

  20. Stellar work Drew, looks perfect
  21. very cool frame and bags, thanks for sharing ,it'll be a great help when I do mine
  22. got a good deal for all these mustang included quite a bit of resin camaro included photoetch detail set sportsman, mustang and nova kits are all sealed inside their bags and thunderbird is still factory sealed
  23. looking good Walt, nice green too
  24. Basic mechanical knowledge helps ie knowing roughly where things go.Dont be afraid to ask specific questions ,after you've done a search first . I acutually look at the modelling forums first, someone probably a few someones will have built it before you, one of them at least probably detailed it. Car mags, some better than others, check your local library for a manuel on the car in question. Two other considerations, not everything translates to scale eg some things will have to be made to big to look in scale and other bits wont be noticed and treat each part as a seperate model eg the engine bay as a whole model on its own same with interior etc

Thanks guys. Lee, I DONT build factory stock, too many things you (well I) can get wrong. I like to enjoy my builds and not make historically correct factory replicas. Dont get me wrong those who do usually make a great job of it, its just not for me. diy didnt take any pics of chasis with wheels on but aside from modifing the axle ends they fit in the wheel wells fine hth Brett
