  1. Wow,this is going to look killer when its done, it already looks stunning
  2. Thanks Russ, usually I use Tamiya but on this I used a new one very simular starts with a K ,I'll post the name later. I really need to get my hands on some 1mm or smaller for a couple of future builds cause I just cant cut it straight enough. I tryed the two blades taped together with a small piece of card inbetween, that didnt turn out as good as I'd hoped but did work well enough if you dont look to closely
  3. Wow, your fade looks great Mark. Wasnt sure if that car actually looked anygood with that paint job (I know the boxart does,I was meaning standing alone) and you've shown that yours does at least.

  6. Mines maybe not so old but it feels pretty worn out as well. and Thanks
  7. thanks guys, Weasel ,the wife has this little craft punch,I just run the masking tape through it (that was fun) and stuck them on the white paint then masked off and sprayed the blue. Then unmaked and remasked to spray the red
  8. didnt know whether to put in here or drag forum but was more an exercise in paint and masking than anything. The plan is to use them for slot drag bodies but thought I'ld post and see what people think of them. need a little touching up still ,but not too bad for an afternoons work?

First off I DONT care if the bodylines not right, If I wanted everything right I'ld never get anything done lol. Now pretty much a box stocker( going back to basics) changed the front ride hieght and swapped stock wheels out for some Keystone Klassics. Paint is Duplicolor (I think Tropicana) Green from the rattle can and Dupont black through the airbrush.Building as a well maintained driver not a trailer queen show car.
  10. opened but sealed inside restoreable glue bomb motors pretty much together including the sump which is supposed to go around the axle which is very solidly glued in place, the windows have been glued in about an 8th of an inch too far back(dont ask I dont know). And part of the tail light surrounds are melted by glue though the lenses themselves werent glued in but at least nothings being painted
  11. very very nice Mike, some great work you're putting in here

    '53 Ford Victoria

    now thats a KOOL 53
  13. Glad you stuck with it oldscool, I actually pulled mine out of the cabinet to see if it had the same issues (built it over 25 yrs ago, one of my first. Only things painted was the motor and box, badly at that lol). Glass and dash fit sems okay but the firewall has a couple mm gap right across the top. Never had a problem with the front end with over 20 house moves and various cabinet moves, must be that old glue lol. Have to get me another and try again me thinks. Anyway looking good, kep at it we'll be watching
  14. Thanks guys, As it stands ,its quite a nice kit.Virtually no flash fits pretty good sits nicely with no mods the only downfall would be the instructions are pretty vague in a couple of places eg the firewall (or how it fits , not a lot of conact area in there).
  15. Pretty much box stock, only deviation is amp and subs behind the seats. Only took about four and a half nights,a bout 3 hours a night color is a dupont bright red over a medium green to darken it up a bit with a dark red pearl nail polish over top
  16. thats really cool

    AWW RATS !!!

since these pics were taken it has been fixed ie been put back to the three exhaust ports flatheads are supposed to have
  18. I use the straw method as well but I found the cotton swabs I use or BMF have the perfect size straw for most spray can nozzles. So after you've done your foiling snip off the cotton heads and store the shaft for your next decanting session. Not knocking Daves method ,have used in the past but once I found the safer method thought I rather stick with that.
  19. not the biggest fan of 32's (any scale, they've kinda been done to death) but this is a really nice looking build. You've nailed the stance, built it with "shock horror" a smallblock ford so bonus points on that one too.
  20. awesome mate, wheels set off the rest perfectly, great choice and those hood struts are very cool
  21. Beautiful, seriously nice stance and look. what color paint is that?
  22. Thanks guys .Finished ( I think)plumbing and wiring the engine using beading wire (thanks to the wife, just dont tell her lol) and scratchbuilt fittings and got the chute release cable in still have to run the anchor cable for the chute (whats that called?)
  23. Looking GOOD man, can actually see whats going on keep it up! I cant build styrene chassis for nothing (from scratch) just cant keep bends looking tight and even but I've had a couple of success's with brass, can take and post a couple of pics if you want.
  24. COOL!!!!!!!! I love it. Best model dub I've seen
  25. Your interior is superb, one of the best I've seen and all your other detailing is right on the money as well. Cant wait to see this one painted
