Pictures and build are simply STUNNING ! The work on the windshield trim and belt line is a huge improvement over the kits original trim. What can I say about the inline....Insert wolf whistle here________! Carson top fit and finish....drool bib anyone? The paint and stance...just too much to list. Thanks Steve for sharing/posting. Much appreciated.

( In my best Ed McMann voice ) You are correct Sir ! -
LOL... Here's to an easy final assembly (Foldgers coffee salute). BTW is the glass vacuumed formed or regular kit thickness?

Glad to see the "Tuna" in fresh paint and trim. Now onto the interior please.

I too got a BF for the 20" steelies. Put them to work on a '53 Ford pickemup truck. Filled them big fenders nicely. Wish they were available by the aftermarket.

Thanks Ira and please thank Mike too.

I've never shown this one.(old build) It builds into a nice Kustom and the engine is crisp. oh yeah...I was trying out scallop paint work..liked the pattern but not the finish. Paint polishing ? Meh..

Don't know about the Tamiya brand scissors. I personally , use one made for fly tying. (found at Bass Pro Shop) They have large finger loops and are super sharp. Fiskar brand is another alternative...found at Michaels Wally World etc. Fiskar also makes a compact scissor sharpener.

My work with electronics and data immediately told me the seat swivel is made up out of a wire crimp connector. Those puppies are sometimes stamped out,but the better ones look milled. I really enjoy the fact that I'm not the only one that looks at a connector and have a " hmmmmmm ....I wonder if ? " moment. LOL anyhoo...thanks for sharing/posting ....and for letting us walk around your brains(so to speak) on this Chevy build of yours.

Thank you for your Service Ron. Great story behind the '55 build and the "Time and Money" black '55.

What Nick says is true. Just keep at it. Build at your own pace , for your self enjoyment and you can't go wrong. -

starting this '53 F100
Joker replied to cobramike's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Hog hauling trailer made out off another '53 Ford bed should be easy peasy. Add a "Farm Use Only" tag to it. The '53 has the door detail moulded onto the inside of the cab and it's very shallow too. I took the pleated bed cover and made door panels for it. Solder window cranks and styrene arm/pull and you're set. Went a different route with a sectioned cab and hood on my '53. Seat is from a '53 Ford. Hoping to get a second one soon. to address the glass I went with clear styrene Keep us posted Mike.- 13 replies

The shading on the body and engine parts is trick smooth! It'll be sad to see another builder leave MCM, hope the server service continues to let you post your work on this forum. Best of Luck Renato.- 80 replies
