I keep every issue of Model Cars Magazine.They are appreciated. When I want inspiration or ideas,my floor space is littered covered with them. They don't have a "search function button". The beauty of the internet is the archives..to comment on them shouldn't make people feel like a kick to the shins with a steel toe boot.I enjoy the hobby for the peace not bickering. yada yada yada James aka Joker

It's in the build plan for the grill..might paint it flat black or leave it al'natural'

It came off the sprue tree..I just added a Dremel and some paint. Will do a how-to if y'all are interested.

Paint update... the obligatory rear view mirror accessory ... James aka Joker

Using Mark's( wgflatliner)double #11 blade tape technique.. (thanks Mark) I ventured into adding some scallops to the roof. The round tape was cut using a paper hole puncher. with visor this is my modeling OCD kicking in.. the rear view mirror looked naked.. so I carved and painted one of these...LOL James aka Joker

Building a longroof has it's challenges.. Like the Testors Purple-icious.. Try removing the flash function on your camera. It will give you a truer color.The interior is looking sharp. The engine is a build on its own..clean work. James aka Joker

I remember his art work from the Custom Rodder magazines when they used to show model cars. Street Rodder magazine too ...for the same reason. Rest in Peace Mr. Bell

Painted the roof with Testors Phoenician Yellow Lacquer and the body and visor with Testors One Coat Root Beer. Kinda like a Rootbeer float ....LOL Added flat black to the door seams,flush skirts,and rear gate then I resanded the whole body. This will darken the seams with the final paint coat.Still undecided on the wheels and tires ..right now it sits on Lyles 48 Chevy style rims..Might go with 55 Chevy full wheel covers. Fly fishing is taking over my spare time and it seems like this build is dragging a bit. Pay no mind to the red and the orange Chevies...they are there for encouragement. The 51 is a stalled build and the red one is like 15 years old. James aka Joker
