  1. Hey Guys. I know there are differences with the makes of big trucks but overall basics are the same engine wise. I am making a 1:1 Cat engine post in the references section.
  2. Today I got a headache from the local race Some detail wire from my mom that she can't use in her hobbies and some protection for my models and household.
  3. Under my 70 SuperBee with scratch springs... Under the 81 Bronco 2006 Mustang Corvair 1999 Silverado
  4. Whats really crazy is there are that many releases but WHY so few goats on here? I still need to get one but I have not seen many goat topics this year.
  5. Next up is the Hobby Stock class with some Olds Cutlass cars, Monte Carlos, 3 Chevy Novas, and more... And My dads friend's car. Maiden voyage.
  6. Hey guys and gals! I'm not sure how many of you are dirt track fans but I grew up going to my local track weekly as a kid. My dad's boss at the time ran a Street Stock at Canyon Raceway. Thats how i learned how to spray paint was painting that car . Anyway I have not been to a dirt track since I was about 14 and now I'm 32. My dad and I went to a local track in Prescott Valley, Arizona for the 2010 Finally. A friend of his ran mini stocks for a little while and took a couple years off and came back with a brand new car to test the waters in Super Stock. After getting in the wall to avoid a crash in the heat race he came back and finished 3rd in the main. Not bad for a first time. ( His is the black and orange #10 ). Anyway I know these pics are not the best as it was tough to capture but I hope you guys like it. Now I want to go every week again! First up my only good Sprint pic and some mini stocks. This is a pair of Toyotas. White one a Celica and the Yellow one is a Corolla Here is a pair of odd ball fords. A Tempo and a Pinto! I wish the Pinto shot was better. Followed by a few Mustangs. The orange one blew up and ended up on fire.
  7. That came out really clean. I like your car show style board too. When you feel comfortable you should go back and do a blackwash on your grill to add depth and show off your custom work. Also after that maybe add some color for your turn signals on the lower part of the bumper. Other than that I reall think you nailed a great custom cruiser. Beautiful car.
  8. I've been wanting to get one of the big ones and yours is so nice that I think I have my inpiration back to finish my 1/24 car. Very nice work.
  9. Another odd kit made awesome by you. Great job!
  10. I like the car a lot like everyone else but I'll be different and poit out something I don't like ( gasp! ) The car is a clean build but it is not an over the top custom and such. Therefore I don't agree with shaving the handles and door locks. I think some detail there would have went well with the build. Other than that I think its a fantastic car.
  11. My friend I am so in! I need to restore my dads old truck. A Kenworth Aerodyne Cab Over. It is in really bad shape but I think I can save it. My dad is also my hero and a trucker. He owns his own cement train after years of driving over the road. He made this one years ago like a promo with no paint or detail and as a young kid I ruined it and then it was destroyed. I have some parts donors now and am geared up to hit the highway!
  12. Never knew Terry drove the Slim JIm car. I always thought it was only David Green. Thanks for sharing!
  13. Awesome I was wondering when I was gonna see an update. Looks killer!
  14. Mine is an odd ball that most would not have a problem with. For me it's the Chevy Trucks of two styles. The 68-72 and the 73 to 79. I have owned a 77 Chevy p/u and an 80 GMC Jimmy and an 83 Suburban. My dad had a 72 that was killer and I was able to drive it a lot when I was 16. He also had an 83 p/u. When ever I build these kits I am not happy. It does not matter what style I build from street rod to 4x4 I am not happy. I don't get it. Now whats funny is I want a heck of a lot more of them!
  15. I like this thread. I did not get many responses on my threads in 1:1. I will add more there from past shows but from now on I'll add here since a lot are playing along. Nice finds guys. Here is what I found today. An old fire truck for sale at a car lot, a bad boy Firebird. ( in the mirror and sorry guys I tried to line up with this car right for 6 miles and gave up ) Last is a horrible death row trip for a big bird (on the bottom ) I love the big T-birds so I was very frustrated here.
  16. Chuck awesome score on the Lincoln. Thats one I really miss that I made when I was younger. Greg cool Chevy find and I love that Hughes 500 swat.
  17. Mine would be a fairly easy one. I wish some of the resin guys would focus on making interchangable parts to simply change exsisting kits over. My example is I want to make a replica of my old 1976 Buick Skylark. Mine was blue with a white hard top. Easy conversion with a Chevy Nova model kit. There are 4 cousin or sister cars of this car group. Chevy Nova ( there is a kit) Pontiac Ventura ( There is an annual) Buick Skylark, and Olds Omega. These could be made with a resin grill with headlights and a resin rear panel. side touches could be build by the modeler. I think this would work with many more cars out there but this is my example Thanks for looking. (pictures from Google via CarDomain)
  18. Prayers go to her and yourself...
  19. I have not sold yet but I have bought a lot of stuff from Ebay. A few models a lot of Hot Wheels and lot of H.O. Trains. Pictures are everything to me. I wish the enlarge feature was better sometimes but pictures is what sells me. Model wise I buy from sealed to parts so I'm open but I am strict on complete kits if I am not buying parts lots. Description and pictures is key for my trains since I need to know if they work or not and what they need. If its a locomotive and they say it works and it doesn't I'd be furious so I look for things like "Track Tested".
  20. You will want to make sure you seal the back of the cab VERY well. On this one I used a fantastic glue and bondo and it still cracked after paint and clear. I was so mad. I am not happy with this one and may actually redo it next year.
  21. I thought OOB box meant just what came in the box. Nothing else. IMPS actually allows more than I thought.
  22. I hope for a speedy recovery and will have you in my prayers
  23. Hmm that lights out pic begs for a light inside the sleeper to show the detail like a bed, TV, etc
  24. Not sure how this one slipped past me but I like it! How and the heck did you get such big flakes? Air brush? Anyway its a beast. Nice Bike
