  1. Now Thats what i'm talking about! Great save! A lot of people see junk/garbage and people like you and I and surprisingly lately a few more see a fun restore. I like the color and stance too. Nice work
  2. I love the big SUV's like Ramchargers, Blazers, and Broncos. You can drive them like an SUV, a truck ( shell off, back seat removed or folded up) or like a Jeep (top off no doors). I haven't posted until now but I have been watching and your work is awesome. You did a great job cutting the roof and great scratchbuilding. I need to get me one of these and find out if you can get a resin grille to make this one. I'm watchin.
  3. Cool Idea I love the old ambulance wagons. Here is one from GoodGuys car show.
  4. Looking good. I was planning a black wash for my doors and such too. It might be to late due to the clear but I'd maybe take an Xacto to the yellow stripes at the front door jams so the black was goes over the decals. Not picking just trying to help.
  5. Well it appears we all got our buddy Highway back I certainly was wondering where you were Glad your back buddy. Any hoot I also picked this up today with some paint. I mainly bought this for parts or maybe even a trade. I got a good deal on it and it was sealed. I opened the wrap just to look at the parts but all still sealed. I also bought a bottle of Model Master Turn signal amber metallic to try for the look of reflective lenses.
  6. Here is a small update on 8/11 I did some more painting on the rack area. The dish is no longer primer grey it's light ghost grey. Added the green and painted the tanks white. The instructions say yellow but the real car is white tanks. I did the bulbs in the clear light bars and painted the other bar. I do need another coat of amber on the black bar. I'm not real happy with that bar. The colors are correct but I'm not sure I like it. I may strip it and use a different green and blue. I have some more touch up to do but it looks ok I think. Enjoy!
  7. Being that I am a huge wagon fan I love this and Mopar to boot. Great build I only have one complaint. 2 pictures? Got any more?
  8. Hey Andy. I didn't pay to much attention to very many signatures. I know I have done the AKA thing since I've joined and I'll give you a straight up answer. I did not do it to be cool I did it because places like here I have to use my name. Other places I've only been under Railfreak78 (started with Trains) Now you add social sites like Facebook and the fact that some people will only identify me as Brian or Railfreak I put it out there I'm both
  9. Considering what the cars from that show went through that chassis should be spot on. It looks great and realistic for mud puddle splashing and dirt road fun. Don't forget some scraches where a cross member or low part of the frame would bottom out. I know you said you need to weather the trans but I'd add a bit of mud on those( very nicely done by the way) brake lines. This is looking fantastic great work and keep up the progress.
  10. I love those Malibu cars. Stock or hot rod they have so much potential. I keep forgetting you have that. Nice!
  11. On my road trip to northern AZ on the Route 66 area I found a couple neat cars. One is part of a diner that I wish I had time to stop at since it had live music and a good looking atmosphere.
  12. So today I went to Williams and Ash Fork, AZ on a stretch of the old Route 66 to do some train watching and caught these along the way. I really loved the irony of a 66 Chevelle on Route 66. The group of GM cars was in Ash Fork.
  13. Here is my 2 cents. I'd like an "other" section too and here is why. I've been to and joined a few other sites for model trains, Hot Wheels, and planes. Even 3 other car related ones. I have maybe 7 posts and only 2 threads between I'd say 8 sites. Why? THEY STINK Imo. Here is where it's at. I'd like to learn from other things and I'd like to apply what I've learned here to other projects. I certainly do not want to join a site I'll forget about cause they are lame to show detail and weather affects I may want to try on a Train. Don't want to see it? Dont click. Simple. Otherwise I'll keep doing my cars and trucks and motorbikes and not caring if people click, like, or care about them either. If they do cool
  14. This is fantastic! One of my favorite trucks on the forum now. I use my Bronco I own now and the trucks I have owned in the past for this very thing. Playing in the MUD! My Bronco is not working right now and actually took my Toyota Camry muddin this last weekend. Great weathering and detail. It looks real! Great body work making it shorter too.
  15. I think that would be a great touch for a 4x4. I see panel strips like those around here as well as rear window graphics a lot. That would make a neat detail as well as a way to personalise a model the way some would do a 1:1.
  16. I'd be down for anything on this page and certainly the Grand Prix. As started before the kit should be released stock with the option to make the Can -AM. It's been awhile since I've looked but I knew where one was for sale here locally for $2,000 with the 6.6L and those slats in the windows. Not sure if it's Can Am since it's in primer. I think they are cool looking cars. I'd buy a few kits.
  17. The Decals are the biggest worry of mine. I do not know how to make them. Help on that would be cool. Thanks for the add and Now i'll be shopping for a kit to start with.
  18. Here is a small update again. I finally got the bmf done and fixed a few spots that I was not happy with. I was hoping to have the decals and a clear done by now but at work we have no hot water heater and the old decals did not want to come off the paper. I have a camping trip planed this coming weekend so now I will tackle the decals and start the interior next week. This is only the second car I have done bmf on and I know it's not perfect but I'm happy. Enjoy and thanks again for the comments and to Artisticndn and Danno for reference pics.
  19. Bikes are certainly welcome. I have a couple on the bench I need to get back to and soon will have another.
  20. I'm loving it. Great builds. I know you have a lot of work into it but I am surprised of the fit of an AMT/Ertl and Revell to make the Crew cab. I made a Suburban out of 2 Mad Mudder kits but It was not real proportionate. I was able to make it work since it was a made up Half track military style truck. I really wanted to do these and may build the black one someday since I love those box Chevy trucks. I'm certainly watching
  21. I love that movie and the cars in it. Your off to a great start. This is going to be killer. I'm watchin.
  22. Your good in my book my friend On mine I got the foil done today minus the door handles. I struggled with the hood emblem a bit and may redo it. I have to admit that Mine is kinda sloppy on the inside where the foil wraps around. Do you have any advice on making that stick better or will a clear coat hold it in place? I can hear the windows screeching a bit going in for mock up. Tomorrow: Finish foil and decals for me to clear and let it sit while I start inside. Yours is looking really nice. I like the idea your heading in with the rack too. I'm watchin
  23. I certainly want to join this build as I have wanted to do this build for a long time. Before someone else grabs it I am posting what I'm hopefully doing. I PM'd so I hope to be accepted and I will collect the kits and parts to make this Jesse James Pikes Peak Blazer from Monster Garage. Let me know if I am in and I will start parts hunting.
  24. Sweet Stang! Cool song too. I just saw Rob Zombie at a concert a couple weeks ago and he played a lot of White Zombie songs including this one. Funny enough his favorite stage colors were purple and yellow. Off to a great start.
  25. Man, Those are nice! I wanted to do both of those myself. I have everything to do older truck minus the correct grille. Mines a 70-72. I love that black one.
