  1. My aunt's 4 door was a green I call "THAT green" we all hated it as kids and now we would love to find one... "that green" the darker green that looked "kinda" metallic. Anyone know what I'm talking about. It did not fair well here in AZ if not waxed like crazy and normally these cars had a green interior too. Now that you did the body work I realise how far off that opening was Great work so far.
  2. What in the world are you thinking my friend? That front tire is facing the wrong way! Cool idea. Not 6x6 but i've been thinking of building a rollback so I'm watchin.... Again
  3. I'm familiar with Walthers and have some catalogs I must of missed em. Thanks and cool topic I'll have to do some digging
  4. Great save!
  5. Now thats a fantastic way to make a cool diorama for limited space. I think you just gave 97% of the fellas here some ideas. Myself as well. I started one and never posted cause it took to much of my bench. Nice work!
  6. Maybe it should be a form of flattery? I think sometimes people need to realise age differences and trends. I'm only 32 myself and the 50's-60's "Kustoms" were a trend before my time that only lives at car shows. Now after my age the K trend has sparked up from cars to motorcycles. Seems it jumped my age bracket but its still its all about not stock. There are a lot of real world "Kustoms" and frankly, Just because it's not a 49 Merc should not mean its not Kustom or Custom or... All the youth is doing is following the foot steps of the people ahead of them that thought outside the box. This has nothing to do with the model in the thread and for that I apologize. Keep up the good work and post pics as you rebuild in the workbench section and you'll be just fine.
  7. As a Miller High Life drinker ( By choice not cause I can't afford "better") I think this is awesome! A Bud truck would be more the "norm". Same with Miller Light and such. Really cool model either way. It always crossed my mind to do a Pepsi truck or beer truck so was the trailer resin or scratch? Sweet rig.
  8. Blake SUBLIME is not a factory Half Track Mopar option oh speaking of half tracks I forgot to say I have a name for mine thanks to the pres of my club. He called it" Sub-Urban" I like it
  9. This one? Or the older red one one?
  10. Thats a neat idea! It is a Daytona and also "technically" has an angled "nose cone" so why not add the wing?
  11. Nice work and I just found out about the Ventura kit a few days ago in the "show me your older kits" thread. one of the guys has on if you want to see the original box. I agree that you should fix the ways the tires and wheels line up. Other than that, Its a beautiful car and I love all those bodies, Pontiac, Nova,Omega and Skylark.
  12. Neat little Datsun. I almost bought one 4x4 with a 302 on it when I was 16 but back then I was afraid of the stick shift Cool little truck nice work.
  13. I found Purple Power does that to ya when I cleaned a nasty house with it. My pond with the brake fluid I can scrub in the tank with no issues. That was a great peel on the paint though as mine takes a bit longer.
  14. My Purple pond (with brake fluid) kind of gets some but not all. The freezer trick is the best for getting windows and large parts out for me anyway. Otherwise its good old fashion sanding and poking at things
  15. Thats a bit better when I enlarged the pic it was still the same size Nice work and the weathering looks really sharp.
  16. Neat idea to make a delivery out of that and I like that Green Duster in your avitar as well
  17. That came out really nice! I like that color and good choice with the different decal option.
  18. Interesting seeing the twin turbo. To bad I saw a real one of these burnt on the side of the freeway yesterday that was a heart break as not many of these left really.
  19. I must of missed the spammer. This was with established guys on the forum. We got it worked out. Even though my messenger was not full I cleared it out minus 2 convos I was having and have had no more problems.
  20. I was around 6 and made one of these, no paint just decals and left in the AZ sun and melted the windows.
  21. Thats really cool! I always wanted to do that out here and for my boy but the "sport" lost its flair around my parts Nice pic and even though you lost I bet you had a blast
  22. Sweet catch Rodney. I love the Ecto-1 and I was just looking at that Cuda kit on ebay the other day. Nice haul.
  23. Hey Nick. I use Turtle wax rubbing compound on the freshly dried paint to rid of orange peel and such. Then I use a Turtle Wax liquid wax after that. Makes it great to do window trim with paint and such cause you can actually use a toothpick for clean up and shines pretty good. If I can figure out Future without bubbles I'll only use Future though as it REALLY shined up my Caprice with no swirl marks.
  24. Great stuff thanks for sharing and congrates on 3rd! Also thanks for including the planes and such. Neat variety.
