  1. LOL@ Metro now that I look again It would be like un-masking the soon to be wifes Dodge Shadow. It does really look good on your car man I am most impressed!
  2. Oh and this is gonna be a driving RC?
  3. I drive a 86 Toyota Camry with Van style cargo/ ladder bars on the roof so I can't bag on it
  4. Great... As a very poor hope to be soon bike Rider ( my 1st 1:1 Project bike is in restore mode ) all these guys without a way to measure the thickness will be buying up great leather vests and jackets from the thrift store Seriously thanks for starting the thread and showing us how to do things. Not to change subject but I have family in Portland and in WA. This place you use have anything that small that resembles snake skin?
  5. Also guys I forgot to say thank you for the compliments on the Suburban half track. I got so carried away starting the other car that I completely forgot and then we had more great builds starting!
  6. Sweet!! Now that your working on stuff you make Cranky and I look normal Great work so far guys!! Just cause mine are done certainly does not mean I'm not watchin. A member here was right. I'm so hooked! Can anyone think of a reason the convoy might need a bike? or Trike?
  7. Suggestions.. If I may be honest as I would want done to me... I would keep the rear wing and loose the hood. Or keep the hood and loose the wing. Mustangs have the knack of teeter toddering the border of muscle and tuner. Kinda like newer generation Z28s.( Not brand new lol) I think if it was my build I would have a hard time making it American muscle at Hot Import Nights or a car for Hot Rod Magazine and mixing them up kinda gets in a bind. I do however see one heck of a canvas here
  8. An update on some minor chassis work. I tried some detailing on the lines and and fuel pump area. I have found some Model Master "air brush only" metalizer leaves a fantastic newer "soft" metal look applied by brush. Anyone will know what I mean if you do your own work on your car. Old alternators were like a cast iron block, now they look like spray painted metal and half the weight. I still have a lot to do but I hope you like so far.
  9. I like the start of your headlight section. The fact that this is a Pontiac Grand Prix body, The headlights look to me almost like a Baretta or Corsica or Celebrity, style minus the "Euro" cover they did on them. I know I named all Chevy's there but Pontiac had their own such as 6000 and such. It's period correct "looking" if the clear lens over the housing was missing.
  10. Hmmm looking at James Dually I'm thinking a friend of mine lied sayin it was a promo.....
  11. The worst part of the real crash here locally is there was rumor that I do not know if it's true or not. I heard the woman (might/was/ / ) a part of the vintage teams making a comeback at the track. Just speculation that I heard and we had a couple big name older cars here so I don't know. Never heard more about it. The local News has failed to produce interviews with team and or family members from the woman that passed. I figured by now I would.
  12. Cool car and with a rally flair it's a hit! I like the way the lights look like they work too.
  13. Sharp looking ride. The color combo works well with the body lines.
  14. I really like the changes on this and I'm blown away how well you made the grille look.
  15. Nice work and a very cool angle on skirts. Very nice looking car
  16. Love to see the vintage road race style. Nice Pony
  17. Jody your avatar pic is the Chevelle on your posts. This truck is a (I think its based on a Tom Daniels designed ice cream truck) Hot Wheel from a new series. The set has companies such as Wynn's Hayes transmissions, Dick Cepeck tires and so on. Sorry to get off subject Chris I can't wait to see your progress
  18. Cool idea to have a mural on the trunk. You'll have to post how to do that when its done
  19. Neat subject! Nice to see someone doing a mopar often overlooked
  20. Incredible!!
  21. As a huge NASCAR fan I think I have to agree. Dale's death resulted in the COT. It took Dale Jarrett being a sitting duck to stop racing back to the yellow. I thought the safer wall was pro-active but after the death of Adam Petty and Kenny Irwin Jr. at the same track in the same year I think I have to change my thinking on that subject.
  22. I use one that looks like Rodneys might be. It's only $20 at WallyWorld and have been happy with the results. My roommate bought it but when I get my own I'll buy 2. Frankly the $20 is worth it for the extra battery so its always ready
  23. I agree that the heat stained exhaust is great! nice looking build. I have a die-cast of this but yours is better looking Build off? hmm. I might join in on that. Great car and thanks for the heads up for the engine display.
  24. Not to take away from the many beautiful things of this car but I can stare at that rear brake/wheel assembly all day! Masterpiece!
  25. Beautiful car and I love that first picture. Looks like we are at a car show watching you pull in.
