  1. I can't wait Rob! You have been slick by making us wait to make the suspense "build" up lol. Mick thats a great save on the bike! Love the 2 tone black. My female rider friend re-built a 86 ish Yamaha Seca 750. I'm working on a 80 Yamaha XJ650. I wish I had the money cause I found a 99 ( I think) Honda VLX 650 with light right side damage for $1,300 not long back and I thought it would be a great learner bike. Sorry to go off topic guys lol. I love bikes
  2. I have the after math of a couple 1/43 cars that were destroyed. I may have some and I have no idea if I have a set. I will look for you and post pics here. If you can use them, then they are yours.
  3. Ok I was looking for some progress pics and realized I'm the last post person but oh well lol here is some pics after heavy body work and I am still not done But it is slowly getting there. I have to say that this is fun as (1) I have never opened a car before and (2) this is my 1st build in this nature. I hope everyone else is pluggin away and having fun as well.
  4. One slogan comes to mind: Nascar, How bad do you have it? lol, I love it!
  5. Mick wow you are making killer progress! I see you figured out how to change your avatar as well and nice bike man... Yours? Anyway, I like what I'm seeing and I was looking at that kit at a store today Wheelman holy smokes!!!! I have finally been able to see a Benz I like besides the old Gullwing. Maybe my zombie car was nailed by yours lol. Great job so far and in the words of Cranky..... MORE!!!!

  7. I'm goin real I think I actually see a reflection in that little mirror
  8. Here is an update from me. I am still tearing this apart. I took out the rear seat which affected the way this goes together. I am making the car lighter, I got rid of the stereo and anything I can think of. I also killed off the normal stock fuel tank as I will re-locate a fuel cell. I still have a long way to go. Thanks for looking. Oh and guys there is some killer builds going on here Enjoy and Happy Hobby'n!
  9. Quick update here since this is on the workbench too so here is the engine pics and I'm not done yet so more to come...
  10. Here is an update. I have not done a whole lot yet but I did some engine detail and a few other things. I figured I would show better pics of the mix of old and new as I have newer name badges on truck as well. Enjoy and happy hobby'n!
  11. Nice progress Mick Did you save those headlights that you covered up? I know there was someone REALLY looking for a pair in the wanted section for a long time but I don't know if they the right one. I love the build so far and the sleeping bag. Cool detail!
  12. Jamie McMurray won in his 1st ride In Truex's old car.
  13. Thanks for the tip Brandon, I just got ahold of a dremel so maybe I'll try it hmmmmm..... Look what you started
  14. Welcome to the forum Mick and your off to a great start there. In a way your killing me as I am a huge fan of that kind of car and want a 4 door kit. I have (2) 2 door cars on my bench. I do think this will look mean when done. I can't wait to see the progress. As you can see more pics during the build is better
  15. Actually the main truck is the reddish orange truck but they do in fact use a grey Ford too. It is the one with the messed up back end. I believe its the older rig. That show is kinda corny but I watch it lol. Facebook just updated saying 2 more new episodes are coming out.
  16. Yeah Marty you missed out on great Chili, cornbread, chips and dip, pudding, and a Female that was building a 1st gen Corvette (1982 Monogram release) You shoulda been here not posting pics of your Dodge lol.
  17. I'm doin a mini build session with a friend and I'm certainly watching!
  18. .......................... WOW!..........................
  19. Hey Nick the 53 kit is a blast I did that one in light blue with the welding stuff and a replaced fender once. I checked a site I love and it was not good on the 53 but a VERY useful site for reference is http://www.dupontregistry.com/ High end auto trader and they normally have multiple pics of almost any subject you can look for.
  20. Brandon Hi there! It was your thread with the Import drag build off mixed that inspired me. Hope you don't mind. I like the way yours is coming out too! I do think I'm going to trash the windows that came with it due to the amount of glue on them. I have found clear styrene thats not so pricey. Bill thanks for the advice! I would have never thought of that. I still have to figure out how to make it hinge somehow lol. Both door and hatch.
  21. And now I don't know what to do.... Here they are...... Sorry for the blurry pics I guess my camera did not like me today but this was really fun... Thanks for a cool build session with some really cool Kats I've made friends with along the way....
  22. Here is some more....
  23. Ok here we go with the zombie car or one that can be used as one of ours that did not make it. Its been shot a ton, stripped of all but a few things, burnt and in general left for dead. Again my salt try did not work. It tried too but this time I took the paint off as the truck would not let go of the salt lol. So I did it my way. The rust on the truck (model master) photographed just as red as the blood. On this car I toned it down...
  24. Wow thats bright but really cool! Looks like something my friends daughter would drive lol. Nice clean bus
  25. Thanks for posting this one as I was not a member yet last time. Do you have to pay Goodguys admission each day ?
