  1. Thanks again, Cato and Mark! Cato: I'll build one from aluminium, as suggested. I want to get this one realistic, and without your informations, huge thanks from them! I'll continue this one soon, but I'm having two other projects to finish soon for a model car contest, they will be first on line, and then I continue this one.
  2. Great job with that interior! I like that dash very much. Steering wheel is painted nicely also. Pre wired distributor is something, I must try also, they are just quite expensive because I have so many projects and I would have to buy lots of them... Little suggestion also, paint that tachometer's cauge black and remove the paint from those numbers and other details. Grille looks very good.
  3. Thanks, Cato, that picture is great and helps alot. This kit has that part around the carburetor, should I drill holes for carburetor linkages etc.? Race Cobras had that part, I think, but I'm not sure... As in this picture.
  4. Thanks again, Cato!!! Well, those look so good that I'm going to change my plans. I don't strip the chrome, I will paint those black parts from valve covers with silver, and then they are looking like polished, I think.... Little update also. Intake manifold is glued on its place, I painted it with polished aluminium. It looks just better than somekind of "gun metal".... And oil pan is glued, I left it chromed, just giving bit of different look, there are coming so much silver parts, and black oil pan wouldn't look good either. Also I have carburetor ready for paint. And after I have painted it, then I'll detail it a little. I already drilled holes for it, but they are going to be under the air cleaner in finished model.
  5. Ooh, thanks for the pics. I have to get those...
  6. This turned out really nice! Paintjob is very nice and I like that color too. Stance is great and wheel and tire choice is perfect. Engine detailing is amazing too. This is must have kit.
  7. Chevy Silverado, painted with a brush and built many, many years ago. This is my 4th model. '56 Ford, painted with spray can and built in many years ago too. It has blower under the hood, and tried to do bit like Gasser style, but I front end is bit damaged somehow, because it's not high in this picture as it was when I finished it. And this Farm-Pickup. Scratchbuilt frame, etc. And one WIP project. '65 Stepside Mild Custom.
  8. Thanks, Brett! I have one Peterbilt too, it's going to be Drag Racer, needs to find turbos which are big enough. Maybe Custom-Peterbilt would be really nice too, but I'm going to build mine from glue bomb, so it's easier to do flat black "Bat Racer"...
  9. Thanks, Ryan, and this is straight copy from page four. You mean that Street Cobra? It's bought from local auto parts dealer (Biltema). Biltema has Hobby paints, and that is Hobby paint and then they have "car colors". They are That store has everything you don't need... But those paints are pretty good. Well, some of them. That blue metallic paint is good quality, and red and gold are good ones too. I have tried some others too, but they were really bad. Most of the people are saying, those paints are bad, and I'll say that Metallic Blue, Gloss red and gold HOBBY PAINTS are good quality, but other ones, I've tried are really bad. It's good to spray clear on those parts, Cobra has no clear, but it's not bad idea... If you use clear, use Biltema's clear for hobby paints!!! Otherwise paintjob will go wrong, I think. You must be VERY careful with those paints, but it's possible to paint good paintjob. Maybe there's no Biltema in USA.. But many other paint makes are close to that color, I believe. They might be better quality too. Maston has Metallic blue, and that's quite good, I think. It's bit lighter blue. Hope it helps.
  10. I managed to get that spoiler off easily. Next I'm going to build new one from styrene. Frame isn't ready yet, but getting close. I hope it'll be ready for primering tomorrow. Thanks for looking.
  11. Thanks, Gordon! I painted lots of chassis parts with gloss black, hopefully tomorrow I can get some more colors on those parts, then I'll post few pics. I also did some test fitting to those wheels, they fit fine and look good like that. I'm going to paint those bolts with black. And I glued that part to the engine, shown in the last picture (can't just remember, what is it). Added some black wash to it, to make it look bit greasy and dirty.

  13. Really nice Victoria! Color suits it really well, and that paintjob is amazing. I like that engine detailing, and engine looks very realistic.... Nothing wrong with it, very clean build with no big mistakes.
  14. Great job with it! Those side panels look very good. That driver's floor looks very good too. How did you do those bendings (?) to the side panels? They look very good. This will be amazing when finished, actually it's amazing already...
  15. Here we go again. Hope these help. I have some more, but I have to upload them first, so there are coming more, from interiors and more engine pics, which might help you.
  16. More... This is 899 CID PM engine with NOS.
  17. Ok, here comes some pics of Pro Mods, which might help you.
  18. Wow, thanks everyone!! That frame is getting there slowly, but surely. Today it will be time to primer it... Hopefully. And Chris, that's great idea. I must try if I can get it off easily, but if not, I'll do just like that. There might be an update coming today, stay tuned.
  19. This is going to be great! What scale is it? Looks good already, and with your skills it's going to be amazing build again. '63-'67 Corvette seems to be really popular Pro Mod body, especially in 1:1 scale, but that doesn't matter, because it's really nice car.
  20. This is really nice FED, that detailing is very nice. From these pictures, the engine can't be seen so well, but watching the WIP pictures was great. That paintjob on the body panels look very good too. This is very nice build, thanks for sharing.
  21. This is truly amazing! This is very close to perfect, that paint job is amazing and those decals look like "painted on". Detailing is super as always and that interior looks very good too. I like that gas pedal, it looks very realistic. Flathead engine was really good choice, and that detailing is so incredible, that have you tried to put that engine running? I like those headers very much too. And those bullets look amazing. Great job with it, I'm amazed, can't wait to see what you're building next.
  22. Thanks, Cato! I'll strip the chrome and paint off, then I will paint them... Bit black wash maybe after that, let's see. But I just want them to be more realistic, and I think, no one has polished them on this car. Thanks.
  23. I usually go with the distributor from the kit. I paint it normally, and then I drill nine holes, one for each ignition wire, and one for the coil. Or other way, drill one bigger hole on the center of that distributor, and stick all of the wires there. I've tried to scratchbuilt distributor once, and it turned out ok. Try building it from the left over sprue.... If you want, I can post little "how to" like how I did mine...
  24. Here we go again.... I worked with the wheels now, I opened those holes, some of them were bit rough, now they are better. I painted those wheels with two colors, Humbroll's Polished Aluminium, and that center part is painted Humbroll's enamel, number 53. I tried replicating magnesium, I think they are pretty good, but what you think, maybe I should do something better? I did little mock up for the wheels, but tires need still some work. And I painted the transmission too. I'm not sure about the valve covers yet. What do you guys think, should I strip the chrome and paint off and paint them polished aluminium, and then some black wash, or if I just leave them like that?
  25. Alright... I took the body off from the paint-stripping. There's still some paint left, but I'm going to sand them off, because they are really hardly on. I also noticed, that someone has built missing spoiler from styrene. I'm not sure, but if I can get that styrene off, I'm going to build new one from styrene, but if not, then I must repair that one. The last picture shows, that if I can't get that spoiler off, I must add little styrene slip to make that spoiler look better. Now it's not looking correct...
