  1. I managed to get that spoiler off easily. Next I'm going to build new one from styrene. Frame isn't ready yet, but getting close. I hope it'll be ready for primering tomorrow. Thanks for looking.
  2. Thanks, Gordon! I painted lots of chassis parts with gloss black, hopefully tomorrow I can get some more colors on those parts, then I'll post few pics. I also did some test fitting to those wheels, they fit fine and look good like that. I'm going to paint those bolts with black. And I glued that part to the engine, shown in the last picture (can't just remember, what is it). Added some black wash to it, to make it look bit greasy and dirty.

  4. Really nice Victoria! Color suits it really well, and that paintjob is amazing. I like that engine detailing, and engine looks very realistic.... Nothing wrong with it, very clean build with no big mistakes.
  5. Great job with it! Those side panels look very good. That driver's floor looks very good too. How did you do those bendings (?) to the side panels? They look very good. This will be amazing when finished, actually it's amazing already...
  6. Here we go again. Hope these help. I have some more, but I have to upload them first, so there are coming more, from interiors and more engine pics, which might help you.
  7. More... This is 899 CID PM engine with NOS.
  8. Ok, here comes some pics of Pro Mods, which might help you.
  9. Wow, thanks everyone!! That frame is getting there slowly, but surely. Today it will be time to primer it... Hopefully. And Chris, that's great idea. I must try if I can get it off easily, but if not, I'll do just like that. There might be an update coming today, stay tuned.
  10. This is going to be great! What scale is it? Looks good already, and with your skills it's going to be amazing build again. '63-'67 Corvette seems to be really popular Pro Mod body, especially in 1:1 scale, but that doesn't matter, because it's really nice car.
  11. This is really nice FED, that detailing is very nice. From these pictures, the engine can't be seen so well, but watching the WIP pictures was great. That paintjob on the body panels look very good too. This is very nice build, thanks for sharing.
  12. This is truly amazing! This is very close to perfect, that paint job is amazing and those decals look like "painted on". Detailing is super as always and that interior looks very good too. I like that gas pedal, it looks very realistic. Flathead engine was really good choice, and that detailing is so incredible, that have you tried to put that engine running? I like those headers very much too. And those bullets look amazing. Great job with it, I'm amazed, can't wait to see what you're building next.
  13. Thanks, Cato! I'll strip the chrome and paint off, then I will paint them... Bit black wash maybe after that, let's see. But I just want them to be more realistic, and I think, no one has polished them on this car. Thanks.
  14. I usually go with the distributor from the kit. I paint it normally, and then I drill nine holes, one for each ignition wire, and one for the coil. Or other way, drill one bigger hole on the center of that distributor, and stick all of the wires there. I've tried to scratchbuilt distributor once, and it turned out ok. Try building it from the left over sprue.... If you want, I can post little "how to" like how I did mine...
  15. Here we go again.... I worked with the wheels now, I opened those holes, some of them were bit rough, now they are better. I painted those wheels with two colors, Humbroll's Polished Aluminium, and that center part is painted Humbroll's enamel, number 53. I tried replicating magnesium, I think they are pretty good, but what you think, maybe I should do something better? I did little mock up for the wheels, but tires need still some work. And I painted the transmission too. I'm not sure about the valve covers yet. What do you guys think, should I strip the chrome and paint off and paint them polished aluminium, and then some black wash, or if I just leave them like that?
  16. Alright... I took the body off from the paint-stripping. There's still some paint left, but I'm going to sand them off, because they are really hardly on. I also noticed, that someone has built missing spoiler from styrene. I'm not sure, but if I can get that styrene off, I'm going to build new one from styrene, but if not, then I must repair that one. The last picture shows, that if I can't get that spoiler off, I must add little styrene slip to make that spoiler look better. Now it's not looking correct...
  17. Thanks Andy! And I had to think few moments about why were you talking about Chi Town Hustler, but it's in Historic racing CBP! It would be great to see some pictures of it, and if you didn't remember to post WIP pictures- that doesn't matter. Well, of course they would have been nice to see, but anyway, I'm waiting for the finished pictures...
  18. Thanks, Chris and Brett! I know that feeling... And I'm feeling it right now after doing some more cleaning and sanding etc... But that's true, the end-result is absolutely worth it. This just needs to be done, otherwise this isn't looking so good when finished. Detailing is great way to get model looking more realistic, but if there are lots of mold lines all over, that's not good because then it can't be looking like 1:1 car does... So what I do, is keep going and clean up that frame so it's ready to be primered.
  19. This is truly amazing!!!! You are making really nice progress with it. Those wheels look very good, and valve stems are great. You scratchbuilt those side panels to that frame, I must think about doing the same thing to my own Vega, maybe that would be a good idea instead of using those from that kit... Let's see if I have enough money to buy some bolts, photoetch maybe. If I can, I might try building them from Styrene. But this topic is great to watch, keep on the good work.
  20. Great to see more Vega Funny Cars here. That color looks very good, and it will sure look good with those decals. I can't wait to see more progress with it, so keep us posted.
  21. Thanks, Chris! The body isn't ready yet, but while waiting it, I started making that frame more realistic. I used file and sandpaper. First I smoothed that mold seam from the "wrong side" of that frame. Then I moved on... Picture 3 shows, that frame tubes are not round... So carefully with file and sandpaper, I started making those tubes round.. It turned out pretty good, I think. Well, they are better that the original ones. I'm not ready yet, only this side, what picture 4 shows, is pretty much ready but it needs some cleaning too. I'm going to continue today, hopefully I can get that frame primered soon and then I can see if there are lots of things to fix. First picture of that mold seam, needs to be removed.... Second picture shows, that it's removed. And then, original frame, not round at all... And this picture shows, where I'm right now. As I said, still some work to do with that frame, but gettin' started.
  22. Little more bodywork. I really hope, this is the last time when I put some putty to this Corvette body... I must sand it smooth today and then bit of primer, I think it'll look good after that. I'm not going to paint two tone paintjob, just keeping this one simply, if I mess that two tone, all of the bodywork gets damaged in the paint stripping.
  23. Thanks, Cato and here we go, little update. But I had some problems with the network connections after thunderstorm on thursday night, so I couldn't post this update earlier. Anyway, the interior was without paint, so I painted it with Revell's flat black and hopefully today I can put some flocking there. I'm going to paint some chassis parts today also.
  24. And next I installed electric water pump. I had to install that little black part there (last picture) and I will install some wires next. I also made hole to that hood, but I'm not sure if I have to make it larger when I get blower's belt installed. But that's it for now, thanks for looking. I hope there's more coming soon.
  25. Sorry, I've forgotten this CBP! I have some updates, what I have done, not much but here we go... First, ignition wires are installed. They are in correct firing order, I think. And also I'm trying to figure out the stance, I have no axles, wheels or anything like that yet, and I'm going to change those front tires. But maybe stance would be something like that?
