Detailing is spectacular. This will be looking just like real car does, everything is just so realistic and there are no mistakes at all. Can't wait to see more work with it, Pro Modifieds are really nice...

This is really nice build. Personally I don't like the shaping of that front bumber and grille. But that's just Revell's mistake. Great job with the painting and decals. I like the engine too, from what I can see. Wheels and tires look good, can't wait to see more of your amazing builds.

WIP thread was nice to watch, and finished product is cool. It looks like Altered WheelBase to me. And that's good. Those headlights are nice too. I like the engine alot and that batwing is great idea. Maybe I must start my Bat Racer too...

Always read the topic before posting comments... Otherwise I could miss something, or ask something again...

More... It's pretty smooth, but not so shiny. I will spray some clear on it and then waxing, then it will be good, I hope.

Here on the first picture you can see how the windshield fits. Not perfect, but I think, it's good enough. I also build "brackets" for the rear window, hopefully I can make it. Body is also painted, color is from Motip. The bodywork isn't perfect but I think it looks good after paint, and then I'm going to clear and wax it. I'm going to search some decals for it. Hope I find something...

I'm going with Real. It just looks so realistic, I can't find anything but realistic parts...

Edsel is beautiful car. I can't understand, why they were not popular on the fifties... Your model looks very good too, that color combo is great and I like the paintjob. Engine pictures would be great to see...

WOW!!! Great job with the weathering, and details are awesome. I wouldn't be sure about $ponsoring that one. Great job with it, more of these, please. -
Thanks for sharing many of your builds here, these are great. I like the details on this, looking very realistic. That driver's suit looks very good, and I like all of those tools. Cables and everything like that are looking very good too. GREAT build.

Chevy 1500 Rock Crawler
W-409 replied to jcvt's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Great job with it! Rock Crawler is something, I'd like to build too. Maybe from Chevy Blazer or Ford Bronco. I'd like to have '66 Ford Bronco, but I haven't seen one. Anyway, your project looks very good to me, can't wait to see more work. -
Wow, great paint job and decaling. Engines are spectacular, as always. Talking about fast project... Your all builds come together really fast... Same time when John builds superdetailed build with large modifications, I can get one engine finished... And that's not super detailed. So this must be really fast if you're talking about fast project. But it's already painted and that frame combination is already done, must say, that it's fast. Thanks for sharing these WIP projects with us.

Ok, the last set of primer has been painted. The bodywork is not perfect, but I think, it'll look good when I have paint, clear, decals and BMF. Bit polishing too. The hood isn't still ready, but I'm working on it. Windshield from Revell's '67 Corvette, it fits ok. And rear window will be made from acetate. I'm going to paint it tomorrow, hopefully. No pics this time, but maybe tomorrow.

Please post your GTO builds, I want to be inspired
W-409 replied to edward smith's topic in Model Cars
I've built one many years ago, so the quality of this build isn't too great. But it's GTO anyway. -
Building Monogram's Street and Revell's Racing Version of Shelby Cobra.
W-409 replied to W-409's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Thanks again, Cato and Mark! Cato: I'll build one from aluminium, as suggested. I want to get this one realistic, and without your informations, huge thanks from them! I'll continue this one soon, but I'm having two other projects to finish soon for a model car contest, they will be first on line, and then I continue this one. -
Great job with that interior! I like that dash very much. Steering wheel is painted nicely also. Pre wired distributor is something, I must try also, they are just quite expensive because I have so many projects and I would have to buy lots of them... Little suggestion also, paint that tachometer's cauge black and remove the paint from those numbers and other details. Grille looks very good.

Thanks, Cato, that picture is great and helps alot. This kit has that part around the carburetor, should I drill holes for carburetor linkages etc.? Race Cobras had that part, I think, but I'm not sure... As in this picture. -

Thanks again, Cato!!! Well, those look so good that I'm going to change my plans. I don't strip the chrome, I will paint those black parts from valve covers with silver, and then they are looking like polished, I think.... Little update also. Intake manifold is glued on its place, I painted it with polished aluminium. It looks just better than somekind of "gun metal".... And oil pan is glued, I left it chromed, just giving bit of different look, there are coming so much silver parts, and black oil pan wouldn't look good either. Also I have carburetor ready for paint. And after I have painted it, then I'll detail it a little. I already drilled holes for it, but they are going to be under the air cleaner in finished model. -
1/16 Scale Army Vega Funny Car - Finished 10/14/2018
W-409 replied to Mooneyzs's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Ooh, thanks for the pics. I have to get those... -
This turned out really nice! Paintjob is very nice and I like that color too. Stance is great and wheel and tire choice is perfect. Engine detailing is amazing too. This is must have kit.

Chevy Silverado, painted with a brush and built many, many years ago. This is my 4th model. '56 Ford, painted with spray can and built in many years ago too. It has blower under the hood, and tried to do bit like Gasser style, but I front end is bit damaged somehow, because it's not high in this picture as it was when I finished it. And this Farm-Pickup. Scratchbuilt frame, etc. And one WIP project. '65 Stepside Mild Custom.

Thanks, Brett! I have one Peterbilt too, it's going to be Drag Racer, needs to find turbos which are big enough. Maybe Custom-Peterbilt would be really nice too, but I'm going to build mine from glue bomb, so it's easier to do flat black "Bat Racer"...

Building Monogram's Street and Revell's Racing Version of Shelby Cobra.
W-409 replied to W-409's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Thanks, Ryan, and this is straight copy from page four. You mean that Street Cobra? It's bought from local auto parts dealer (Biltema). Biltema has Hobby paints, and that is Hobby paint and then they have "car colors". They are That store has everything you don't need... But those paints are pretty good. Well, some of them. That blue metallic paint is good quality, and red and gold are good ones too. I have tried some others too, but they were really bad. Most of the people are saying, those paints are bad, and I'll say that Metallic Blue, Gloss red and gold HOBBY PAINTS are good quality, but other ones, I've tried are really bad. It's good to spray clear on those parts, Cobra has no clear, but it's not bad idea... If you use clear, use Biltema's clear for hobby paints!!! Otherwise paintjob will go wrong, I think. You must be VERY careful with those paints, but it's possible to paint good paintjob. Maybe there's no Biltema in USA.. But many other paint makes are close to that color, I believe. They might be better quality too. Maston has Metallic blue, and that's quite good, I think. It's bit lighter blue. Hope it helps.
