  3. Thank you guys, you are giving me a big head, all joking aside I thank you all for following along, you have just witnessed one of my fasted builds in the past two decades, hope that maybe it will make me become a faster builder. Sunday is coming up fast, and for a while back in June I was worried that I would be working on it right up to the meeting. Just a few more days.....
  4. The model meeting is this Sunday the 7th that we will be holding the contest for the motorcycles. I will let everyone know what it places.....
  5. Well now that I got the mans ruin build out of the way back to this one slowly...
  6. My two cents is that what it sounds like is that the surface may not have been prepped properly. I had used this wonderful paint for over 20 years when I had owned two sign shops and never had that problem. That is why is seems to me it may have been an issue with not prepping the surface, boat paint is tricky not to ruin the finish with a good wax and grease remover. As far as covering with lacquer it may work but again good prep of the surface before adding any paint to a boats surface.
  7. also I wanted to make the plug wires to look like copper from a moon shine still....
  8. actually was able to get some barbed wire on the build I made a shiftier linkage with it....
  9. Well I finished it. My first build in close to two years, finished in under 3 months. This was a totally fun build and not what I usually build. I have a few decorations that I am actually working on for it but the bike itself is complete.... actually made the wires to look like the copper wire on stills that they use for moon shine...
  10. Almost complete, hand grips, pedals, lincense plate, shifter linkage and brake cables,,,... soon very soon...now looking at a way to add barbed wire to it still....
  11. thank you Gator, had not planned any display base being a model club contest, it would make it look even better but no time to build 1 by the contest date.
