  1. HÃ¥kan , thank you very much for all your help and the info this helps a great deal and I am very much appreciated. I was about to just go custom on this build which I may buy another one and go custom on that one. However I want to build a stock version of this truck as I was very young when this kit first came out and was not able to build it. Now that they have re-issued I want to not only do an exact copy but give it more detail than just box stock. Again thank you very much!!!
  2. While mocking up the engine this time I notice that clearance at the fire wall is slim to none.... even the exhaust manifold is hitting on the drivers side, has anyone built the AMT '50 chevy truck kit? wondering if its the kit or just my building of the truck?
  3. This is the radiator that I did my my Aztec warrior build and will be doing the same for this build...
  4. oh I am on this one for sure, awesome work so far, I love custom vans and you are doing an excellent job!!! Keep up the good work.
  5. Removed that hump in the bottom of the radiator that made no sense at all for being there. more to come soon.
  6. Thanks Carl, right now I am working on getting the radiator to look better, not sure why they would have a half moon on the bottom of the tank...
  7. Thank You Steve, yes I am finally determined to get this thing done.
  8. Gator, thank you, I am hoping on getting this one finished, I just realized that my first post of this build was in 2013, its time to get this one done now, I have decided to drop the long trailer for the '32, but still have the car in the build and still have the little trailer with all the loot in it. That will help speed it up a bit....
  9. opening up the radiator to make it more realistic just like I did on the Aztec warrior truck....
  10. I am resurrecting this build and hope to finish it before I loose interest or have another project get in the way.
  11. Hello everyone, I just picked up the super boss kit and want to do this kit justice. I have been searching for reference pics on the net and found a few sites here on the forum but they do not get any closer than if it was at a truck show. Does anyone know of any place on the net or any where else that has good pics of the frame and engine really close up? Also a good match for the light and dark blue paint used on the body of the kit?
  12. I entered the bike at the New Mexico state fair and it won best of show....
  13. I do too! I know it wont happen but I wish model manufactures would just issue the little accessories as a separate kit. Such as this bike, I have like three of them from the rivi kit, just to frail to work with. I have been inspired by this thread however to give it a go....
  14. x2 that generator is beyond awesome. I love your scratch building skills. That generator would be a great resin cast piece....
  15. Chuck I have always admired your style of building especially the rat rods. You have inspired me to finally try my hand at weathering and trying some of these types of trucks , keep up the awesome work....I especially love the sculpture of the oil pan from the model A kit that is incredible....
  16. I like it! now I have to get off my duff and get one going for some bed fodder, will look good in the bed of a truck. Or dio...
  17. Looks really good, I have like five of these, have always wanted to build one but you are right, I can see them being tedious just for the size of the thing. Looks really good built up..
  18. Thanks Carl and Kenneth it was a very fun quick little build...
