  1. Fantastic job! WOW... that's how I want my models to look when I grow up I like how you put it on the porch railing to snap a few outside shots, reminds me of when I used to do the same thing years ago until one of my models took off on me... fell to it's death Ahhh... those were the days.
  2. That's an awesome build, great details ~ love it! There was a car I kept seeing on the way to work with the same type of wheels ~ an old cutlass I believe... with a crazy sparkly lime green paint job. Every time I saw it I had to laugh, it looked ridiculous But it did make me smile every day. We all have different styles... that's what makes us who we are
  3. No offense but... it's beautiful!
  4. I have three shoe boxes filled with models I've done over the years, all of them are from fifteen or more years ago... the '94 F-150 was my last "restore" from those boxes and now I'm going to start on this '92 Mustang GT It seems that every time I open that shoe box this poor mustang screams for me to rebuild it, and so I thought why not. It never had a hood, not sure what happened to it. I do have a donor kit ~ but the hood from that kit has a hole cut out of it for "big engine" clearance. Hmmm... Anyway, I took this kit apart and did the interior today... a major step, I know I'm going to keep it the same color as it is (two tone) but maybe with a deeper shade of blue, not sure yet. Here's my progress so far, it's going to be slow going (at least for me) but I'll post as I go along Thanks for looking!
  5. This is very cool! The dents are real looking, not like something I would've done And the way those wires stick out of the stereo, lol... that's awesome!
  6. Awesome job! It wouldn't surprise me to see a few of these around my area, in the run down parts of town Too bad they don't make scale rats, the half rotted dead ones... that would fit right in with this build
  7. A lot different from what I'm used to seeing, very creative!
  8. Sweet paint! That must've taken a few years My hands shake way too much to be attempting something as intricate as that... I'm impressed!
  9. Very nice build, amazing... and btw ~ I went to your website and checked out all of your other models. Just wanted to say "WOW"
  10. If my first build looked anything like this one, there's a good chance I would still have it today Awesome job!
  11. Thanks for all the comments The paint is Rust-Oleum Metallic Champagne, the white is from ColorPlace (rust control) gloss white ~ the only white spray I had at the time. I put two coats of Testors clear gloss laquer on it and gave it a slight polish. As for the two-tone, after viewing several different photos of the real truck I decided to paint it a little differently than what came from the factory... that's why the white meets the top of the tail light, just thought it gave it more of a stylish look. Railfreak, lol ~ what about them fender markers? I promise not to tell the ol' lady And reaper, sorry I couldn't get to your question sooner... I didn't know the answer anyway but it seems as if YJIslander and Rick helped you out. Oh, yes... I'm surprised nobody commented on the fancy door mirrors I lost the original ones but plan to build something to replace them one of these days, unless anyone has some extras laying around? They are different from what came with the original model but I'm hoping to duplicate something like this:
  12. One of my favorite cars! Great job on it

Good color for this car, it looks great! I'm also impressed with the photos, very clear images... what camera did you use?
  14. What started off as a "quick restore" ended up being a time consuming project... I took everything apart, repainted every piece and added a few minor details ~ it turned out better than I expected it to. The color as you can see in the above photo was the same as the '66 Nova I posted a few days ago... mainly, that is the reason I decided to rebuilt this truck and give it a different paint color. It just didn't look right sitting next to the nova I built it around the same time as I did the nova, hence the same paint color... about fifteen years ago, I didn't have much in the paint department and I used what I had instead of running out to buy something different. Hope you like it!
  15. That's going to look sharp! Every time I see one of these driving around I find myself wishing I had one I noticed that Elcamino in the background too... careful with the overspray!
  16. That thing is crazy! Good imagination ~ and that glovebox opening like it does, wow!
  17. Sweet ride! The colors compliment each other, it's just a cool looking car.
  18. It's amazing the change a different set of wheels will do to a car ~ they both look great!
  19. I can't even remember when I built this... over 15 years ago? Thought I'd take it out of the shoe box it's been sitting in and clean it up ~ put some Bare-metal on it, an antenna and a drivers side mirror, outlined the doors/trunk and polished it up. Hope you like! View more photos here, if you dare... (muhahahahah) http://www.myspace.com/thorpess
  20. A crazy cutlass for sure ~ Awesome build!
  21. Hey Jairus, you have some really nice builds there... I love that '69 Mustang Convertible, wow! You did a fantastic job on it... And that scratchbuilt T-bucket roadster is crazy cool!
  22. I like it! There's a lot of history in this little model and you did an excellent job in restoring it.
  23. Awesome job! So many little details, it's hard to notice them all with just one glance. That's why I'm looking a third time
  24. I'm liking it so far... I don't think I have an '83 mustang in my collection Are they still available?
