It's been hard to find time too work on my hobbies, but I finished it. Hosted on Fotki
  3. You need a black tint which would be transparent. www.alsacorp.com they have what you need, it's expensive.
  4. Can you tell me where you purchased the detailed RR instructions on the engine? I have a couple Pocher kits that I will be finishing when I'm finished with my current project. Any info would be appreciated, thanks.
  5. Get the appropriate diameter wire and slide one side of the hinge ( all three) onto the wire and glue them to the door. Then take out the wire and attach the other side of the hinges and glue to the door pillar. They should open and close smoothly!
  6. Verey nice pencil illustrations. When I was younger all I did were pencil drawings.
  7. Modelmaker wanted for prototype shop, one in far North Chicago suburb and one in Southern Wisconsin. E-mail jeff@modelsplusinc.com for details.
  8. This is slow going but its moving lol Yeah me to. I know what you mean.
  9. You can use just about any rod or tube, aluminum, brass, wood, or styrene. Pick the diameter you need and put a strip of two sided tape on one end and your good to go. Replace the tape as needed. It will last forever.

Oh, wait, I'm in Arizona and you are where it gets REALLY cold. On second thought keep them pics a'rolling! Thanks Tim, I lived in the Chicago area all my life, born and raised but it dose get cold, The cold is getting old and I need too get to a warm climate. Maybe 2 or 3 more years I'll be ready for the move. Rob, Mike, Jacob thanks
  14. Excellent work, and it's 1/16 scale which makes it even more challenging.
  15. I built the Comet kits when I was a kid, if I remember they where 0.50, 0.75, and 1.00. I didn't build them very well, about half way through winding the prop the fuselage crunched up and it was on to the next one. Sometimes I did build them well enough to fly and crash, they where fun to build.
  16. At this time it's to soon to think about. I need to finish the model first. The plan still is to make a kit.
  17. First I apologize for the bad photography, I need a lot of practice. I molded some parts that turned into a disaster. The paint I used to paint my parts inhibited the RTV, it didn't cure where it contacted the paint, the other side which primed came out fine, needless too say the mold is useless. The parts that got destroyed are the headliner and carpeting, although I was able to glue the carpeting back together, The headliner is a total loss, just have too start over. Here are some pics. Hosted on Fotki These are lenses for the gages, shifter, mirrors, and radio. Hosted on Fotki The carpet glued back together. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki
  18. Yes, fresh resin will stick to cured resin. Go with your first guess, rough the resin and coat with fresh resin.
  19. I saw the same one at Home Depot!
  20. Where do you find the time too build all these models? Don't get me wrong, I think it's great to have the time to do all these builds. I wish I had more time! And you do a great job, I like your washes and your chois of vehicles!
  21. Thanks Jeff, Bob. Here are the components for the dash. A little sanding and they will be ready for paint. Hosted on Fotki
