Richard.... I have no idea how I missed this build but you sir are doing one outstanding job on this. I am loving everything about this build. You have nailed it with the stance and all of the work you are doing to it so far. It's inspired me to pull out my rat rod I started almost 3 years ago. Looking forward to your next update. Keep up the great work. -
1/43rd Scale Merc - Fatomic Bomb Updated 11/2/2013

Michael... you know I was thinking earlier when I was looking at the body was that if I could find different head lights to put in. Not really digging the kits headlights plus the fact that mine are some what yellowed. I was thinking about cutting the over hang straight off and putting something else there that would work. Would love to see the MV lens that you are thinking of using for yours. I would almost like to pick up another one of these because I think its a pretty cool kits plus the fact that I am fascinated with some 43rd scale kits. I also wished that it had bench seats for the front and rear seats instead of the buckets and the molded in seats for the rear. -
Marcos... Very nice job on this kit. It looks great!!!

Aaron.... this is a very nice collection of build you have there. Man are all of the gorgeous builds. I would be happy to have any of those on my shelf. Its great to more pics of your 1/16th scale Radici & Wise F/C. That chassis is looking killer. I love how everything just pops. The detail is fantastic. I am looking forward to more updates on that build. Keep up the great work my friend.

Hello All.... Well, while I am in the middle of my Highly detailed 1/16th Scale Army Vega Funny Car I figured I needed another small project going on the side when I need a break from the F/C. I have had this Jimmy Flinstone 1/43rd Merc for a while and been looking forward to building it. I have been toying with a few different ideas for paint and finally decided on a paint scheme for it and the colors. Most of this build will be straight from the kit but I am going to try and add a couple of personal touches to it by adding a little detail to it. I am thinking I am going to try to come up with a custom grille for it as well as try and add some sort of detail to the door panels. I also picked up some Mexican Sombrero hubcaps and white walls for it. I am hoping that this build won't take me too long since there really isn't too much too it. So stay tuned and be patient with me on updates with this. I think this is going to be a fun build. Here is the kit and all of the pieces as well as rims and tires I picked up for this: Here is a side view of the stance and with the rims that will be used: Here is the inspiration for this build.... I will be going with House of Kolor True Blue Pearl and House of Kolor Planet Green....

Hey Fellas... I got some great news.... I finally got some time to work on this and I am happy to say that I got the heads painted as well as putting a coat of flat clear over the copper head gaskets. Anyway I am happy to say that I am back at the bench with this build and gonna get more work done to it this weekend. Here is the Heads painted HOK black base and the Copper head gaskets were painted with Clear Flat: I had to test fit them on the block: Another view: -
