  1. Scott... thank you bud! I couldnt agree with you more about keep doing things right and hust take my time. Art... thank you. Bud!! I have been a little slower on this build lately than I would like to be. May be i will be able to have it done for the NNLs in Southern California this year. I cant wait to leave work in an hour because I plan to spend most of the evening at the workbench on this build tonight.
  2. Dave... killer work on the fuel pump and the harness. This is turning out great!!! Your work is impressive.
  3. Totally cool build. Nice job on this one!
  4. Mark... thank you for taking the time to explain to me your process. I am going to have to try that myself. I know what you mean about the plastic wanting to spring back. I have bent some of my tube with a hair dryer and you tend to heat more if an area than you usually want. I do need to try the lighter method. That front axle is looking great and is coming together. I really like how you are making this come to life. You do some killer work. I am looking forward to more.
  5. James... this is looking very nice and you are making some great progress. No need to rush this one at all. Keep up the great work.
  6. Totally cool belly tanker. Nice job!
  7. John... It's totally cool that you build these in 1/25th scale. When you are don't with the 1/16th scale one you will have to take pics of them with the 1/25th scale guys. I sure cant wait to see more progress on these guys.
  8. Bill... I had to catch up on this build and you have me picking my jaw off the floor. I am so speechless at the moment. You have me so impressed with your building skills and talent. That rack and pinion is just amazing.... Everything is just amazing. You have set the bar so high for all of us. You are making me want to step my building up even higher on my next build. Thank for always showing us your work an how you do it.
  9. Danno.... Thanks Buddy ....that deadline is getting close and i am gonna disappoint everyone because I wont have this build completed by then. I figured best not to rush it. But I will be bringing what I get done by then.
  10. Hey guys.... thanks for all of the encouraging words. I got the rear body panel glued in yesterday and wanted to make sure it was good and dry before proceeding. So i had set it aside after i was done gluing.Tonight I will be able to finish up the rear body bracing when I get home from work. I cant wait to get this part of the body done. I do have to admit that I really happy with how it is turning out so far.
  11. Tyrone... nice work bud. the detail to the engine looks great!!
  12. Mile... Thanks buddy... Feel free to use any ideas from this build
  13. This is totally cool and gonna be a great build
  14. Hey Mark.... Tanks for the kind words on my Army Vega build. I am loving the progress you are making on this build so far and I am really excited to see you bring this to life. You are a talented builder. I do have to ask what your trick is for bending your tube. Do you heat with a lighter, hot water, blow dryer? Just curiouser because they are very nice bends. Keep up the great work.
  15. John... This is some fantastic work you are doing on these builds and am loving the progress you are making on it. Keep up the great work.
  16. [quote name=Prostreet" post="909864" time="1364418519]Just a little update for those interested. Had surgery Monday to put a plate and some screws in my ring finger, All went well and Doc said i should recover close to 100%. He said the scaring shouldn't be to bad , The swelling is all the way down in the other fingers and they still look almost normal lol. I might be able to go back to work in May and just do some easy handwork so that should be good. I'm allready thinking up a new project.
  17. Dave... Nice work on this man. I think you are doing a fantastic job on this. Keep up the great work.
  18. Tyrone.... Sorry to hear that you had to have surgery on your knee but I pray for a speedy recovery for you. I am glad to hear that the surgery. You are making some great progress and the split carbs look awesome. I am really digging the look of the Pegasus tires on this build. Keep up the great work.
  19. Hey Fellas.... I know this update has been way over due. I haven't been able to get to the bench much in that past few weeks. And I sure have missed working on this project and I actually was able to get a little time yesterday to work on this. I have got a little more work done on the rear body bracing. I was able to get a few of the pieces soldered together as well as getting the mounting point glued in. I now need to work on getting the rear body panel glued in so that I can finish the other two mounts that will go to the back body panel. I am hoping to get it done today or tomorrow. Anyway here are a few pics, they aren't the best pics but just a couple to show the progress. I still need to sand and file the solder joints down. Thanks for looking Here is what I have done on it so far. Got the two support mounts soldered to the main brace. I still need to make the two that mount to the back body panel and then I need to make the mounting pads for the sides: Here is an up close shot of one of the braces. Solder joint is a little bulky but will get sanded and filed down: Here is a close up of the body mount pad glued in place. yesterday when I was working on this I said what the heck and just glued it in lol. Now I need to do that to the back panel...lol
  20. Mark... this is going to be an awesome build. I will be following along on this one for sure. You have the best 1/16 scale resin engines in the business. I need to get a couple more on order from you. I cant wait to see more progress on this build
  21. John.... this is starting out great. You know I will be following along for sure. I can't wait to see more on this build. I love those front wheel. I need to find me a set for sure. I keep looking but havent found one yet for a goot price...lol Brad... you need to start one of those 1/16 th scale kits too
  22. Dave... i think it would be a pain to do in 1/24th but it could be done. Its a little easier in 1/16th . Little more room to work with lol. The body just pivots on the brackets on the chassis with the tubing. Alyn...thank you. I am hoping to possibly work some more on these tonight and this week. I will have to take some better pics of the rod since i soldered a piece of tube on the end for the bolt to go thru. I am currently tryng to figure out how i will be able to solder the rods at the correct angle i need them to be in the installed position.. but i have an idea i hope works
  23. John.... this just turned out awesome and you did one heck of a job on it. I cant wait to see it in person next month. Nice job on this. You sure have talent and skill my friend!
  24. John... I am super excited that you are doing another drag racing subject and that its in 1/16th scale too. These are going to be some killer builds and I am looking forward to following along. I know you will knock these builds out of the park.
