Hakan... Thank you very much. You know how much of a pain in the but it is to get everything lined up when doing the Injector and manifold lines. I still have to redo all of the Manifold lines because what I have done so far doesn't look right...lol Brad... Hey man I have bad news, I don't have an update yet for you guys. The weather sorta spoiled my plans today. I was going to get all of the fuel fittings and things painted but with it raining off and on all day. that threw a wrench in things. I really didn't get much time at the bench like I wanted to but I still have 3 more fittings to fab up and then I will have all the fittings and things ready for paint for the Fuel and Oil systems. So hope fully maybe one day this week I will get to break the air brush out.

Jason... Thank you. I actally do think the parts I make could be better though. All of the stuff is made and cut by hand. I wish that I had a Mill and lathe to help me cut my parts better and with drilling parts

Alright Fellas... Time for another update on what I have been working on since Friday Evening. I got more of the fuel system sorted out and did some scratch building. Some of it was tedious work and drove me nuts. But all of the hard work will pay off once I get to paint the parts...lol Alright I won't waste any more time talking, Let me show you the parts... I started by making a Check Valve to the Hi Speed side of things and here are all the parts that make it up: Next I made a Hi Speed T-Fitting, here are the parts... the brass parts will be soldered together and the nut will be glued to it when finished: Here is all of the components laid out showing each part. The parts consist of Scratch build items and fittings and pieces used from RB Motion: And now here area all of the parts Mocked up in the Chassis. and before anyone says anything. I purposely left some of the lines long on the A/N fitting for mock up purposes and so that I wouldn't lose any of the parts. I sorta crimped the ends so pieces would not fall off. Mark... Thank you so much for sharing some of the work in progress pics. This build is such a Beauty. I really like the idea of the Wax Parafilm from Micro Marks. I just may have to pic some of that stuff up and give it a try. I like how you have protected the engine while work on other components with it. Also... Those Decals are just amazing. I would love to be able to print my own decals and learn how to do the Art work for them. Do you have plans to build another 1/16th Scale Build?? If so any ideas on what it will be?

I am digging it all from the Scratch built shifter, to the Scratch build battery and then the Electronics panel. Man that is some awesome work. You keep knocking it out of the park my friend. Mark.... Wow!! This is a very Impressive build. I love seeing other 1/16th scale drag builds on this forum. This build is a work of Art and a very clean build. Nice job on everything thing. I would love to see more close up shots of this as well and even some with the body off. You got any in progress pics of it as well?? Thanks for sharing with us.

Bernard.... First off this was just a suggestion for wire wheels and nothing say anyone has to use them by any means. I know for a fact that there are probably out of many people's price range anyway. How may people would really be willing to pay $85.00 for a set of 2 rims? I do know and saw that actual tires on the WWI rims are too Balloon like But nothing says that one couldn't change out the tire and use an O-ring or a possible different kit tire that may work for it. the think is they tell you the diameter of the rim but it doesn't say how wide the rim is. I personally have been on the search for a wire wheel solution for my 1/16th scale Dragster builds and There isn't really much out there for us modeler and when I ran across this I though that I could be once solution for them. It's true that one can take the kit rims and cut away the spokes Drill the hubs and rim and lace themselves. You are correct that resin cast hubs and rims can me made and would be a way cheaper solution but no one that I know of currently makes them. And yes there are a few solutions when it comes to photo-etch sets. I have a few 1/16th Photo-Etch Dragster front wheels from Machined Aluminum Specialties, but don't think they are available anymore but the one thing about them is the rim portion of them are a tad to big in my opinion. I have used them on a build but I would prefer to make something that looks a little more accurate myself. But that is my personal preference when it comes to certain things, I want to try and make it looks like the real thing. Yes they are better than the kit rims but not as good as if one was to lace their own wheels. It all comes down to how accurate does one want them to be. I know its just a model but we all build to different styles and what pleases us. I build the way I do because I like to see how close to the real thing I can make it. I have 3 Dragster builds that I want to build which are near and dear to my heart and where my love of drag racing came from. On those builds I want to make everything look as close to the real thing as possible trying to make exact replicas of them. The only way for me to do that is design them myself, So I am planning on drawing up a set of Wire Wheels for these Dragsters in my CAD program and once I get the hub and rim drawn. I will then design a Jig that will hold the parts during the lacing process. I know using a Jig will help keeping things symmetric and would think it would make it easier to lace anyway. I will probably have these rims 3D printed but I may also go about seeing how much it will cost to have them machined. I would really like to machine them myself but I don't have Mill or Lathe yet due to not having the funds to purchase them yet. As you stated the largest market is 1/24 - 1/25th and a 17" diameter rim would have a diameter of 0.708" in 1/24th scale and a Diameter of 0.68" in 1/25th scale, not including the tire. for me in 1/16th scale a 17" diameter rim would have a diameter of 1.0625".

I will agree with Bill here, It will go bad. One thing that I typically do is when I don't use my CA... Most of the time I keep it stored in my freezer... down side is that when you want to use it you need to let it thaw out but it does help it last loner. I learned this trick from my dad years ago, He did that when building his R/C Airplanes.

Here is a place here in Arizona that does wire wheels for airplanes but they would probably work for Dragsters and what ever else you can think of but depending on the scale that you are looking for may be a limiting factor. Smallest size in the Micro wheel sets is 1" dia. I have been wanting to contact them and ask a few questions myself and see if they will let me drive up and see some of in person Because I have a few projects that could totally use a set of these wire wheels. Hey Everyone... Thanks for all of the comments. I do appreciate them. Sorry but I don't have time to respond to everyone like I normally do but wanted to thank you all. So I started the Manifold Injector lines Today and have been working on them for about 7 hours today. Still not sure if I am happy with them or not but these are just templates that I made before I make the final ones. I decided to makes templates from .020" Brass Rod figuring that it would be much easier to bend them and get them correct first since Brass is a little bit easier to bend than Piano wire. I had no templates for these as I was doing them with what I will call the eye method. Figuring them out as I go...lol These things sure had me frustrated and saying a few words out of my mouth that I shouldn't of said...lol. anyway I am calling it for the night and going to enjoy watching my Minnesota Vikings play the Packers at their Home Opener of their new stadium. I just wanted to share a little progress with you on what I have been working on.
