Tom.... First off... I am not the original poster of this thread. Cobraman started this thread. Second... it has been 3 years that I ordered these engines. I realized a while back prior to this thread being started that I was never going to get the product and figured it is not going to hurt at all to share my experience . I wanted to post my experience in hopes no one else has to experience what I have. Third... I had shared my experience with a friend and he encouraged me that I should post what has happened to me. If you go and look at the first page of this thread you will see that I what I posted that I didn't name any names. Tommy ... no he doesn't have a website. It was all by word of mouth and email. He has a list that he would email with his products. Spike.... although I am not the OP of this thread but you were right that I have been trying to wait it out and at this point I had nothing to lose by posting my experience. I had to learn the hard way since I miss placed my money order receipt it taught me to scan all of my moving Trans action and keep copies for my records. I can only blame myself for misplacing thr receipt. Joe... thank you for the support. In one of the emails between me and mark he told me that he posted that he wasn't taking anymore orders and stepping away from the resin business for a while and I told him.that I have been off of facebook for about 2 years and I didn't have a clue that he posted that back in april. How would I even know not being on facebook I did have a friend tell me about it and I was able to look up the dedicated page by googling it and since it was an open group I was able to see it with out a Facebook account a clouple months ago and saw where he posted that. So at that point I figured I was never going to get my stuff.

Tom... Answer this question for me. How would you feel if you were in my shoes and this happened to you?? Be completely honest with me. I honestly think that you and anyone else would be frustrated as well at this point. waiting as long as I have to get product that was ordered and didn't receive it yet. I have been way more than patient on getting what I ordered. I don't know about you but I work hard for the money I earn, maybe what I spend on these engines is pocket change for you. As far as you saying I have been criticizing this guy in every way, I think there have been others that have things way harsher than me.... I have shared what I have experienced with everyone. As you have said this is a public forum and others can see but what is wrong with me saying that I hope he does the right thing and get me the product I purchased from him?? I sent him money for product that has never been delivered. Would you prefer if I was to take my posts down? You are probably right that there are people this forum that live for Drama. I am not one of those people, I am not here to cause any Drama or any BS. In all Honesty, all I was hoping for was that He would have the courtesy to respond to my email. If he doesn't want to send me the engines then tell me so or if he does great. I have been trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he has send the engines out, maybe not. I haven't a clue if he has or not. Communication is the Key and that's all I want, let me know either way. When someone doesn't want to respond when trying to iron things out, it feels like its a slap in the face. As I have stated at this point I don't expect anything and I know I am out of the money. During the whole time on my Funny Car thread every since I bought my first engine from him. I have been promoting his product to people when people ask me where I got the engine. A lot had asked via PM so no one would know about it. To this day I will still say that his engines are the best in the resin industry. I would more than happy at that point when/if I receive the engines I will come back here and say "Hey Mark is a stand up guy and got me the engines I ordered 3 years ago." Tell me who are these instigators you are speaking of?? As you say they will let him know and he will never respond again. So Be it that will just show his true colors then. I have already chalked it up as a loss unless I am proven wrong.

Dang Johnny Boy!!! That is looking Killer with the little details in place in the interior as well as the Rear Tail Like. You are a true craftsman brother!! Keep up the great job on this. I am sure this is going to be seeing some paint very soon.

Well fellas....I wanted to give an update on the status of things. It's been 2 weeks now since my last email to Mark. To which he still hasn't responded to my email that I sent him back on July 11th. I don't get why people just can't communicate and act like an adult and a man. At this point any response would be nice even if it's to give me the middle finger and tell me I am not sending your engines. At this point I am not expecting anything from him and feel that he is basically telling me to F off since there has been no response which is frustrating. Oh well such is life.

John... Holy Cow Batman!!! You are always amazing me with how creative yout get on your build. That phone is Bad A$$. I think you need to make a couple Dimes to put on top of the phone....lol. I just love watching you do your magic on your builds. Top Notch Brother!

Tim... I think I am starting to rub off on you with the redoing of things when you aren't 100% happy with them.....LOL. I like that fact that you went back and redid the girdle because I sorta like the girdle with the strengthening ribs a little better myself. I also have to agree with you that as the nickle plated one looked killer but this new one is more realistic. The tone and is more consistent with how the real one looks with the picture your showed. You can tell from that pic of the real engine that the girdle and block are made from the same material. Nice work on this. You keep raising that bar every time you post. I am loving this build

You should take a look at TDR Innovations on Shapeways. They have parts from 1/8th scale down to 1/43rd scale. Now they are 3D printed parts instead of resin and some will require a little prep work and sanding but you usally have to do that with resin as well since there are little pin holes in resin from time to time that needs filling. What specific scale are you looking for?

John.... Gotta say you made those headlights look like the real thing. They turned out great. You have really been putting your minions to work. Don't they have Labor laws there... . Nice Job Brother!

Martin... This is going to be a really cool build up and fun to follow along. You are doing a great jog on it so far and look forward to seeing what else you do to this bad boy.

Cameron... I am Originally from Saliinas California and grew up 15 miles from Laguna Seca Raceway. Laguna Seca Raceway is off of Highway 68 between Salinas and Monterey. It's been years since I have been out to the race track. I think you would have fun. I would suggest if you decide to go to it that while you are there you need to head into Monterey and go to the Monterey Warf and go down to Cannery Row. It's pretty neat and you can also drive along the coast up to Pacific Grove from Cannery Row. There is a place Called Lovers Point on Ocean View Rd That I would suggest stopping at too. There is also the 17 mile drive in Pacific Grove that is a very scenic drive on the coast.

John... Wow Brother this is turning out awesome. You are killing the details on this build. I swear you are going to have this thing in primer by the weekend and have it all painted next week...lol Not bad for only starting it 8 Days ago.... wish I could build this fast... lol This build is sure coming along very nice and it is a pleasure to watch this come together. Keep up the Awesome work on this one.

Tim... super impressive work on the heads, they have turned out killer. I still owe you a drawing and will try to get it done for you this week. I have to agree with Randy that it is so much fun sitting back and watching you create this work of art. Looking forward to your next update. Ypu are a true craftsman.

Joe... Thank you. I think I took your other post wrong and though it was about me with the sob story. I apologize for taking the wrong way. I know exactly what you mean when it comes to someones personal problems. I mean I can be understanding and all but at a certain point who ever owns the business if they can't get things sent out in a timely matter because of such issues then as you said shut things down for a while, get your Crapola straightened out and then reopen when you can fulfill orders in a timely matter. I have heard that he has done similar in the past where he will just stop talking to anyone for no reason, maybe in a funk and no one knows why. You are right that I basically had enough waiting around and that's why I contacted him saying get me my engines or send me my money back because I have been planning 2 builds that need these and I needed the engine first to get the chassis designed correctly to fit the engine. Nah you didn't come across as an A-hole, I probably sound like one with me complaining about things. Such is life right. Sometimes we just need to speak up. I know what I ordered. As I said before I didn't expect anything and figure it all is a loss at this point.

Joe... I am sure that my story doesn't mean a thing to anyone on here because it doesn't affect anyone but me. I never posted my experience to make people feel bad for me, I just don't want others to go thru what I have gone thru is all. Oh I know for a fact that smoke is being blown up my A$$. I already admitted to you that I made the mistake of misplacing it.I should of scanned the M.O. and placed the receipt of it in a safe place. I is an expensive learning lesson but I can't change the past, Today is today and yesterday is already gone. You are completely right about him saying he was getting burnt out. If that was the case why did he continue to take order's and peoples money then. But it sure wasn't a problem for him to be selling at local shows from what I had heard. You know a while back I did feel bad for him for some of the life circumstances but not no more I really don't really feel bad at all. He is the one that put himself in this position. I will say this which I have mentioned in a previous post. The biggest thing that has bothered me now is the lack of communication and how he hasn't responded to my email I sent him a week ago> Give me a break who doesn't check their emails for a week. I know for a fact that he has to of seen it already. It's possible that he doesn't want to deal with me and just maybe he has already gotten the engines poured and sent out but I won't believe that until I see them arrive, If they even arrive.

John... My Brother what can I say but this thing is turning our amazing. You sure know how to use that Teresi Magic of yours and build what you see. What an awesome Talent. I can not wait to see what is next on this Bad Boy cause you are killing it so far. I am enjoying watching this one come together.

Joe... You are right that I haven't mentioned anything about the money order stub and what I haven't told any of you is that I have been searching and tearing my house apart looking for it. I have found my two previous Money order stubs that I ordered from Mark, when I ordered the 426 Hemi that is in my funny car and then I got a 392 Injected Hemi for another project. And is it my fault for misplacing the Money Order stub for this transaction, yes it is my own fault and since it was 3 years ago so I don't remember exactly where I put it but I will continue to look for it in hopes of finding it. I had no issues with those previous orders and they were filled promptly which I didn't have to wait very long to get. I know that the Money order stub is my proof of payment. Prior to posting any of this on here I also already knew It was going to be my word against his word and I knew I was going to be screwed. I went back and forth about if I should share my experience here or not and after my friend Tim (aka Codi, Look above on this page) went thru I decided I wanted to share my experience with everyone. You will notice on page 1 that I mentioned my issue but I didn't say anything as to who it was. I Have already chocked it up as a loss and that I won't get my engines. But when he tells me that His records show that I ordered 1 of this motor and 1 of that motor. I know he is completely wrong because I have all of the emails that him and I have ever exchanged and that Right there is my proof as to what was said and ordered. I find it funny that you say that I am wasting my time with this story and telling you guys it doesn't mean a thing. Well to me it does, it lets others know by word of mouth to be careful when ordering from any resin caster out there and if you want to take that risk that is your right. I also know for a fact that I am not the only one that he owes engines too. I am not going to name and names how I know or who they are for because its not relevant here but he owes a good Dozen engines to someone. At this point in time I can only blame myself for not contacting him sooner and I shouldn't of waited so long. And yes I had to learn the hard way. My whole purpose of the past few emails back and forth with Mark is to see if he will be a stand up guy and get me my stuff. I have sent him screen shots of all of emails that I have regarding these engines and I know what I have shows I ordered something different than what he stated to me. I have no reason to lie about what was ordered and I have no issues showing the screen shots of the emails. It all depended up on Marks response to my latest email which he still hasn't responded to which was almost a week ago now. In all Honesty it's not about the money at this point but the principle that I ordered a product that I haven't got and if I get the product great. If not well I will never do business with him again and will tell others to be careful if they want to because that is their choice I also see people stating to use paypal when ordering. To be honest I would of back then if Mark would of taken it then but he didn't. He only took money orders back then. I use Paypal when ever I can, its much more convenient and you can look up when you ordered items. Joe... also thanks for the last post you made stating the 45 days to file a dispute as to I didn't know how long a buyer had to do that. I have to agree if someone can't devote the attention to their business then they shouldn't be selling their product.

Randy.... Incredible updates my friend. Man that Candy Red paint looks killer and Wow all of the detail to the engine and everything you are doing is insane. Its putting my Funny Car to shame....lol. The details on your car are so much smaller than what I am working with. You are the Man!

Tim... That Mag is incredible my friend. Wow what a work of art and I know it took some serious set up time to get things right. You amaze me with what you can do with your End Mill. Job Well Done!!

Tim... I know it's been a little bit with an update for things with me on the Engines from Mark. So as I mentioned in my last post I emailed mark on 7/1/2016 to ask about these engines. I finally got a response from him on 7/7/2016 and I was actually shocked that he wrote back but it shouldn't of taken 6 days. He had responded that he put a notice out on Facebook on 4/27/2016 saying that he was no longer taking orders and that he was burnt out of the resin aftermarket business. He also mentioned that orders have turned into nightmares for him now. I understand that he wants to get back to his own builds. He also stated that what started out as a sharing activity for 1/16th scale enthusiasts. blossomed into a full part time business endeavor that he no longer enjoys. He did mention in the email that he had no excuse for the time issue and that he needs to resolve it right away.\, saying that he will put together an engine right away. He Claims that his records show that I ordered 1 Donovan and 1 Big Block chevy engines and that he has been paid accordingly. Well right there I knew that was wrong because in my email trails I specifically stated that I wanted to order 2 Donovan Engines and then after he gave the price of them with shipping (($76.00 total.... $35.00 for each engine and $6.00 shippiing). I had told him that I would get a money order out to him. I told him great I want them then a few days later I asked him if it would be any trouble to add a Big Block Chevy and a set of the Arias Heads and Valve covers to the order. Prior to this he had given me a quote on the big block check ($35.00) and the Arias Heads and Arias Valve covers ($12.00). So almost a month goes by and I still didn't hear anything on a total for all of that. I got tired of waiting and I just decided to get a money order for the total of everything which was $123.00 and I think I may just of made it $125.00 to give a couple extra bucks in case shipping was more. When I sent the money order out I am pretty positive that I put a small note in the envelop with the money order that stated what it was for. I know i did it back when I had ordered a 392 Injected motor with a couple of sets of Headers from him. On 12/13/2013 He had said in an email that he got my money order. So back to his email. He also stated in the email that he sent me 2 BBC engines, one to complete my 1/2 of my original request and a second for my stagecoach wheel stander project (gifted to me for no reason). When I received those 2 engines 10 months ago I got 1 427 Big Block Chevy kit and then there was also the Arias Chevy Kit. I didn't quite know why I got 2 Big Block Chevy kits because I knew that I ordered the Arias Heads and Valve covers as extra parts because I didn't know which way I wanted to build the Big Block Chevy. So my mindset when I got them I thought maybe he was being nice since I waited 2 years for them that he just decided to send the rest of the engine for being patient. He also said that because of the time involved here let him know if haven't got the correct info and that he would proceed immediately on getting the Donovan engine done and mailed asap minus the high rise manifold he was going to do for it. He also said that he "didn't mean to be an A$$, but with your drafting skills why do you need to order any resin at this point in your building skill level?. Which I will say ticked me off a little bit because if I want to order resin from someone and support the hobby I will. So on that same day (7/7/2016) I wrote Mark back telling him that I appreciated him getting back to me. I told him that I have been off of Facebook for almost 2 years so I never saw his notice but that someone mentioned to me that he was taking a break from selling. I also wrote letting him know what I had ordered and then I showed dates of what things I ordered and I even took screen shots of the emails to show him how I wanted 2 Donovan Engines, 1 Big Block Chevy engine and the Additional Arias Heads and Valve covers. I had thanked him for getting back to me and wanting to make things right. Now 4 days go by before I get any response back from Mark and I heard back on 7/11/2016 and he says that okay, 2 Donovan engines are underway and asked if I wanted the Donovan Heads and Valve covers since he had a couple versions of heads and valve covers and to also send pics of the engine from the car these are for so he can match up the parts as close as possible. Then he says "Did we ever make an arrangement for payment"??? When I saw that I was thinking he was off his Rocker because I had Sent him $123.00 for all of this stuff 3 years ago. There is no way I am going to pay for the Donovan Engines twice and feel he was trying to get more money out of me when he said that about the arrangement for payment. On that same day on 7/11/2016 I responded to that email Telling him that I send the $123.00 to him 3 years ago and again I attached the screen shots of the emails. I don't want to bore you with all of the little details. So needless I say its been 5 days now with out any response and I am still waiting to see if he will email me back and what he says on the whole payment thing. I will be honest depending on how he responds because I have no clue what he is thinking with what I responded. My thoughts are that either he will only send one engine or maybe he will make it right and send two or if he emails me saying No I am only doing one. Then I will have no choice but to post the screen shots of all of the emails and show everybody here what was said and if I get a warning or kicked off here I won't care one bit. Part of this is just frustrating, If people communicated and let me know whats going then I am good with it. Ignoring emails and not getting back to someone is just rude and I get it that life does get busy but is it that hard to say "Hey got your response I just have been busy with things and I will get back to you soon. I would be ok with that, with no response in 5 days makes me feel like it doesn't matter to him. Heck maybe he has already gotten the engines molded and sent out and possibly doesn't want to respond to me and just be done with this. I haven't a clue But I will keep everyone posted on if I get a response or the engines show up.
