  1. John.... That Paint work turned out Killer. I love how the red just Pops from the black. Looks like you are on the home stretch now. Keep up the great work. Jeff is going to be a lucky guy to own a model built by you.
  2. Martin... It will be fun to see the 64's come together. I haven't figured out yet if I want to do an all chrome chassis or if I am going to chrome all the suspension parts and rear end, then paint the chassis frame with some very small graphics on it. I have downloaded a quite a few lowrider pics for reference. Also trying to figure out how I am going to do my set up in the trunk...lol Should be fun to build. I just gotta get the funny car finished first ...lol
  3. Big... Walking Dead fan here... Was pretty upset that they got rid of Glenn. He was one of the few I really liked... Although I knew we were going to lose one for sure with the way last season ended but was totally shocked that they got rid of 2 people. I know its part of the story line but still there were a couple others that they could of gotten rid of that wouldn't of bothered me...lol. I have never read any of the comics and I have no clue how close the show and the comics are or are not. My understanding from watching Talking Dead afterwards is that, it opens up the story line for a lot more seasons.
  4. Johnny Boy.... that is one huge update... Man is this build looking Killer. You are nailing it on the details and the weathering. I am loving the work you are doing here. That red looks killer on the roll cage against the black. Loving the little switches you added to it as well as the radiator grill and the mesh for the radiator. Top Notch work my friend!! Looks like you don't have very much left to finish this one.
  5. Tim... what more can I say that has already been said. That mock up looks Incredible!!! Top Notch work right there my friend. I am loving it . I am am so glad that the manifold worked out and fit perfectly. It is great to finally see a pic of the printed part. This mock up just looks nasty and that engine will sure be shown off sitting all out in the open like that. This is just one Bad Ass Build!!!
  6. Here is what I would like to do. Now I am not going to make any promises that it will get done in time due to a few other projects that I need to get done before this one, but I will try and sneak working on this hear and there when I have time. Been wanting to build this for quite some time and though it would be fun to join this community build. My plan is to do a 64 Impala that will be sitting in the weeds. Here is a Mock up of how I would like it to sit:
  7. Awesome work Johnny!!! This build has really come to life with color on it and your weathering magic. Those Wheels look great. Love the touch with the real wood you used for the dash. The little details really make things shine.
  8. Tim... what can I say... That is some fantastic soldering and Jig work. Those Chassis sides look great. Gorgeous work on them for sure!! I am already awaiting your next update. You are just killing this build!
  9. Tim... that is an awesome start to your headers with the flanges. And with the Jig you should have no trouble's getting things all lined up and soldered. I can't wait to see more progress on them. Pete... I would of been interested in reading about the rotary table. Then again I have been wanting a milling machine for quite some time. Was totally interested in the sheroine stuff but as of late been looking at some other options dude to the limited travel a d hearing that a few others have had some chattering issues due to the main body of the machines made from extruded aluminum. I don't know if you have had any issues like that but would be interested in hearing if you have. So right. Now I have been doing a little research on table top machines with cast iron bases.
  10. John... That is one awesome update. That front end is looking great. and I am loving the look of the car on all 4 wheels.... The stance looks killer . Very Nice work!!
  11. Dang Johnny Bravo.... Now that is one heck of an update. Nice work on everything. I love how you did the seat with the piping and how it looked all painted. It turned out killer. Those Seat belts turned out awesome as well. And that fuel pump and fuel filter turned out nice. I am loving this update
  12. Tim... you have me speechless. Those rims are so gorgeous and have me drooling. Ypu are one of the best my friend. I hope to be able to machine my own stuff as nice as that some day. I just gotta ask what's next on the agenda list? Chassis by chance?? I am dying to see this as a rolling chassis with those wheels.
  13. Joe... don't feel bad it looks as if what ever is wrong with Photobucket its affected all of my links and pictures as well. All of my photos in my threads are broken links and don't show the pics. It has to be something on their end.
  14. Tim... That is an outstanding update. Man that wheel is Gorgeous!!! . Its a 1000 times better than the kit wheel. I can't wait to see the 2nd one done and then It will be so cool to see the chassis as a rolling chassis with both front and rear wheels on. Keep up the Killer work!!
  15. Fred... this is one awesome build you got there. It turned out killer and I am loving it. Very nice job!! Look forward to seeing what you build next.
  16. Tim... Holy Cow!! that is some nice work on the front wheels so far. Man are they going to be killer. I can't wait until you have more to share with us. Keep up the awesome work on this!!!
  17. John... Awesome Work on this update. That Engine is going to be killer when you add your detailing Magic to it. I have to agree with Art here. You are so close to having this thing in primer and paint. I can't wait to see it in its Glory all painted up. It is one totally cool build. Nice work on everything so far.
  18. Dave S.... thank you very much. It was fun getting those lines and fittings together. I just want to get them painted to see what it will look like all together. One of these days I sure hope to get a Mill. Dave R.... Tha k so much my friend. Things are moving at a very slow pace for me right now. Hope to get more work done soon on things.
  19. Steve... In all honesty I didn't know what Wikipedia would say thats why I said looked it up for giggle. I know my definition of what a lowrider is. How much were they wanting for shipping?? I could see how much it would cost me to ship a set of rims to you if you'd like??
  20. Rob.... that is one Bad Ass ride. Now this is just my personal opinion but I would consider that as a Custom or mild custom. I grew up in Central California where the Lowrider scene was huge. My take on what consists of a lowrider is that it is on hydraulic's and typically with some sort of wild looking candy and pearl paint jobs. As well as most are on some sort of wire wheels, mostly 13" wheels.. As I said this is my own personal opinion. For giggles I looked up on Wikipedia to see what it defined a lowrider and custom as.... here is what it said..... A lowrider (sometimes low rider) is a class or style of customized vehicle. Not to be confused with a regular lowered vehicle; these uniquely customized vehicles are generally individually painted with intricate colorful designs, ridden on 13" wire spoke wheels with white wall tires, and fitted with hydraulic systems that allow the vehicle to be raised or lowered at the owners command. Lowrider can also refer to the driver of the car. A lowrider is always a lowered car, but a lowered car is not always a lowrider. This is a class of vehicle, not a description of the height from ground to chassis. A custom car is a passenger vehicle that has been substantially modified in either of the following two ways a custom car may be altered to improve its performance, often by altering or replacing theengine and transmissiona custom car may be a personal "styling" statement, making the car look unlike any car as delivered from the factory.Although the two are related, custom cars are distinct from hot rods. The extent of this difference has been the subject of debate among customizers and rodders for decades. Additionally, a street rod can be considered a custom.
  21. Brad... Its great to see you back at the bench with this. Nice work on the rear end bits as well as the engine. Keep up the great work and looking forward to seeing more on this.
  22. Tim... That is looking great. Awesome work on this little Hot Rod. Love the details you have put into the roof rails. I always enjoy your builds. Thanks for sharing them with us.
  23. Tim... that there is some super impressive work my friend. Those wheels turned out killer. What I would give to be able to make my own parts like this. I love what you have done with the body and I think the fender less body looks way better. You are always amazing me with your updates. I can't wait until the next one.
  24. John... so what did Carl Casper think of the finished model?
