  1. Tim... Ok I am jealous... lol wish I could join both of you Dave... You sure are doing an awesome job on this build. These parts are looking fantastic. You have me super impressed that's for sure. I will be waiting for your next update.
  2. John... It didn't take you long to jump to your next victim... or er... Project... lol I can't not wait to see what you do with this. I vote for a Crazy Candy and Pearl paint job or Candy and Lots of Flake..... Keep feeding your minons what you have been feeding them because they have been working overtime for ya...lol
  3. Brad.... you are doing one heck of a job on this one Brother. I am loving all of the litte detailed items you are scrarch building. I am totally digging the gas pedal. That is just so cool. There is so mich to admire about this build. I can not wait to see this in person. Keep up the great work
  4. John... Another outstanding update Brother!!! You are Killing this build. I love the additional detail to the transmissions with the chain for it and with the addition of the front wheel it gives the bike a sweet look being able to see the whole picture. Your work is amazing and your minions need to quit showing off and get back to work... LMAO
  5. WOW!!! This build is so Impressive... That Transmission looks killer and the Chain is off the charts. I love how the chain gives some contrast to all that Alclad. Nice work buddy!!!
  6. Well Holy Crapola!!! Dude you sure work fast.... That is off the charts. I am seriously going to have to wear sunglasses when I see this in person. I love the contrast with the brass line and the chrome engine block. This is some seriously impressive work you have done so far. I love it.
  7. Joe... Thank you very much Sir. I am glad to hear that seeing what I have done has given you some inspiration to finally get back to the bench on yours. Tim... Thank you. There is still some more work and I actually can't wait to work on it today. It should be fun Ray... Thank you very much. I am pleased with how its working out and wasn't sure how well things were gonna line up when I cut the sides down in multiple pieces...lol Brad... Thank you. I have to admit that I was amazed at how much plastic I actually removed and to think there will be more to take off. I have to agree with your that those ares will be a challenge with the curves but after thinking and looking at things, I may just shave all of the raised areas off on the inner portion of the body and just completely redo what I call the trim lines. John... Thank you. Although I wish I could build fast like you. But this little guy is slow at times....lol Dave... Thank you Clayton... Thank you. I will be glad when I get to a point where I can add body filler because then that would be I will be close to primer time...lol Scott... Thank you. I really appreciate the kind words. I have to admit that it has been fun cutting this body down. Not sure if its because the change of pace, just working on something other than the chassis. Don't get me wrong doing the brass work has been fun and I fell that with the more practice that Its becoming a little easier and I am sharpening my skills at it. Although I am no expert by any means...lol
  8. Tim... I am in Awe right now looking at that Amazing Gas Pedal. You nailed it and then to see the chassis. First thing that came to my mind was that the chassis is and Amazing work of Art.... That thing is perfect. every time I see it it blows my mind and I have to continue to tell myself that this thing is way smaller than what I work on....lol I do have to ask you if you have been keeping track of your time you have into this Because I know you have to have an insane amount of hours in it just like I have on the Funny Car. I think I am in the 1400 to 1500 hour range on mine and I would have to think that you have more than that in yours. Job well done so far. I am looking forward to more.
  9. Johnny Boy.... Oh my you did not disappoint on this updated. I can't tell you how Bad A$$ that frame looks. You are definitely the Alclad Master when it comes to spraying it. Now I can only imagine what it will look like when you get the engine and other parts on there. You have blown me away with this one. Nice work buddy.
  10. In this shot you can somewhat see the joints where things were glued together: Here is the opposite side: Top View so you can see the curvature of the sides: Here is a shot of the body next to the reference pic that I used to get all of my measurements and calculations from. It looks like it is close enough to the actual body. Now I just need to work the window details as well as a few other minor things I need to change up: I had to add this picture because I wanted to show everyone how much was actually cut out from the original body...lol:
  11. Alright Fellas... I got some more bench time tonight and was doing some more hacking and shortening the body. So the over all body shape is complete but Now I need to work on the window area of both sides as well as opening up the window on the door. but I will say the hardest part is done on the body I think...lol. I will let the pics show the story. So I had forgotten to take pics of marking the doors up to shorten them but here they are after they were shortened: As you can tell here by the daylight between the gap of the door and body that the door spaces needs to be shortened: I started out once again my marking the areas that I wanted to cut out: On the first side I forgot to take pics when I hacked it up but as you can see here I have hacked the other side up in to the pieces you see here and the piece that is on the chassis has been glued together: using Weld On #3: Here is the body after it has been shorted and both sides glued. I had taped it to see what it looks like together as well as to let it dry over night:
  12. Kerry... I am digging this and really like what you have done here. that has turned out very nice. Great job on this.
  13. Bob... thank you. it was alot of hacking and iniwwd my rqzor saw for all of it. Right now I am planning on working on this when I get home afyer work today. I was going to take pics of the steps on how I will shorten the lenght of the body and share that with everyone.
  14. Brad... Thank you. I got really cut happy wait till you see the pile of parts I have cut off...lol John... Thanks Brother... No way will I ever be as fast as you. Dave... Thank you. Clayton... Thank you very much. Well Fellas I still have more to cut and I am trying to get myself motivated to work on it tonight but I am struggling at the moment.....
  15. Well I am hoping to get some bench time tonight to finish up shortening the body and getting it glued together. But first I have a couple of house chores calling my name first. So Stay Tuned
  16. So I did the same thing for the sides of the body and the doors. I started with my 1" wide 3M blue tape and also added a 1/16th fine line tape next to it. then added the Tamiya 6mm wide tape next to that: I removed the inner tape pieces to reveal what will be cut away: Here area all of the pieces after doing my cutting with my razor saw: And Now here it is somewhat together. At the moment it is just held together with the Tamiya tape and will be glued Together:
  17. Alright Fellas.... Its that time for another update on this bad boy. So over the weekend I finally got started on Chopping up the body to get the body work going. Although I still have some more work to finish up the body. So far the Body has been narrowed 3/8" and it has been chopped 1-1/16". I still need to shorten the body by 3/4" of an inch but this one may be a little more tricky.... going to take a 1/4" from the center and then 1/4" from each side. Anyway I will let the pics tell the story of what I have done. Hope you all enjoy.... Well here I started out by doing a quick drawing of a side view of the body to get an idea of how much I was going to have to chop and change things: Here I have laid a piece of 1/4" fine line tape (the blue) Then added 1/16" fine line tape next to that then the Tamiya 6mm tape on the outside of that: I removed the 1/16" and 1/4" tape and what you see between the Tamiya tape will be cut and removed to Narrow the width of the body: Here is the first size cut up: Here is the 2nd side cut up:
  18. Danno.... we all know why it isn't finished yet.... I am not as fast as John.... LOL Dave... Thank you. Tim... Thank you very much. Kerry... Thank you Sir!!!
