  6. Brad... you will be a natural with the soldering iron. It is actually fun to do the solder work and you will like it. Heck if you want I could pack up my solder iron and some materials and show you how I do some of my parts sometime.
  7. Brent... you gotta have those words of encouragement. And sometimes you have to talk to those parts just right... lmao. I am working on a cad project but hoping to get some bench time in over the weekend on the funny car.
  8. Morning fellas... just wanted to say hello and let you guys know I haven't forgotten about this build. I have been side tracked on another little project I am trying to work on at home... hoping to get some build time in this weekend though.

  12. Brent... This is looking good. You are off to a great start. I really like what you are doing and honored that my build has inspired you. If you have any questions on how I did anything dont be afraid to ask. Looking forward to more progress on this. Keep up the great work.
  13. Tim... you are turning into a machining pro. I am going to have a lot to learn when I get my Mill one of these days or I should say years... lol Beautiful work. I can't wait to see more of this little Jem.
  14. This is a totally cool build. It reminds me of a willys pick up I saw many years ago at sears point drag strip in California sponsored by 7-11. I will have to find the pics of it I took and post.
  15. Tim... Nice job so far on redoing the intake. It's looking good so far. I need to save my pennies so I get a machine to tinker on. I can see how much fun you are having by fabricating your own parts. I would love to be able to machine mybown parts.
  16. Tim... Those batteries are unbelievable. Very Impressive. You continue to raise that bar with every update. Looks like the real deal. Job well done Sir!!

  22. I tend to buy most of my stuff I need from Suzanne and Dick. They are really great to work with. Heck Suzanne always calls me when the Model Cars Magazine comes in. In my opinion they are probqblynthe best and biggest store that carries plastic. Then again I am in the east valley.
  23. Sorry Bob... I have had no bench time considering I have been in North Dakota on vqcation. I will be back on this as soon as I get back.
