Tim.... I do not know what to say other than you made my jaw drop on the floor and am having a hard time picking it up. This engine is so impressive with all of the work that has gone into it so far. I absolutely love it. Hands down has to be one of the best builds out there. Keep up the awesome work on this. Can't wait until your next update.

Tim... thst is incredible that you made it by hand and that is a sweet freedom tool. Wish I had the pocket book for one of them but then again I have an off brand dremel... lol that should tell you my pockets aren't too deep... haha. I believe we have a few of those forums in our hand finish area here at my work. Tha k you for sharing your tricks of the trade.

Tom... Shapeways charges by volume of material used specifically by the cubic centimeter as well as for the support material and possibly the volume in the printer that the model takes up which is used during the printing process. Over the years ShapewYs has changed their ways how they were charging to print and they are going thru another process change as we spreak. My guess is that this engine was one solid model that the designer made so it prints as an assembly. This could be why it is so pricey besides the Designer can add a mark up to the price which would be the designers profit and the rest goes to shapeways. Now if this was designed in multiple pieces the volume of material could of been less which would then make part cheaper to print and have a lower cost. Lets say you have a cylinder and you hallow out the center, it doesnt charge for material in the hallowed out area. I hope that makes sense

Tim... Absolutely beautiful work on the hard fuel lines. I know all too well how tough it is to make them perfect and precise. I couldn't tell you how many sets I bent for the funny car but I made my fair share of them until I got them right and I have a feeling I took way more than a day and half to do mine... This build is a pleasure to watch come together. Keep up the Amazing work. Cheers!

Tim.... I really appreciate you taking the time to give us in depth details on your process for this epic build. I have learned quite a bit from you. I really appreciate the tip on the self etching primer for brass. I am going to have to use that on my next chassis since it will be brass. I have loved following every minute of this build. Lookong forward to your next update. I can only imagine what the throttle linkage set up with look like with all that time into it. I can respect your hard work and dedication and know exactly where you are coming from putting in those extra hours just to get it perfect. Cheers Tim!!
