  1. OK, this was the best I could do. The listing was from 2011.......I could've sworn I scanned a newer listing but I guess not as I can't find it. The listings here are of course off topic, but this is to show the really oddball (but good) stuff Tapani does, and why his resins sell out whenever he gets to a show. These were taken from a PDF file I originally got from Tapani, so I had to break it up. Some of these he still may have available, others he may not.
  2. I want to add I could have swore I had a price list of AirTrax's models. I thought I had scanned it, and it was on my hard disc, but now it's among the missing. If I can locate it, I'll see if I can post it here. It was his list as of last year, and the prices but some items may not be current now.
  3. I definitely remember them from last year's NNL East as that's the first time I met both Tapani and Juha Airio. Juha and I had a VERY nice and long conversation, and Tapani I believe sold out of most of his resin kits that he brought. I was eyeing a certain BEAUTIFUL late '60's Aston Martin kit, but I didn't bite and now wish I had. I'm planning on going this year barring any hangups (no overnight stay though), and if he's there and those Aston kits are with him, this time I think I'll spring for one. You all just know I have a certain weakness for European exotics!
  4. Hmmm.........I bought that P1800 what 10 years ago now? IIRC, the Euro was more expensive against our dollar back then and I believe it was somewhere around $160 for it. You'd have to check with him to see what the prices are now, but he does price 'em Euros.
  5. Here's Tapani Rauramo's email addy.......he can fill you in more on how to get his models. Raurata@yahoo.com EDIT: I want to add that while Tapani's models are on the pricey side, you won't be disappointed in 'em. I have his Volvo P1800 kit which NO ONE makes and it's about as nice as they come.
  6. Steve is excellent to deal with as I've bought from him years ago. He does return phone calls if there's no answer, and he's very good at answering emails. You can buy from him with confidence!
  7. Perfect example is there's an auction right now I'm watching that the seller has had on eBay for at least two weeks now. It's the diecast Danbury Mint 1/12 scale 1964 1/2 Mustang convertible. IIRC, the original BIN price was around $1000 with the model having a few issues. No one's biting, but now the price is down to $730 as of today. Naturally, there's a bunch of other folks watching (17 to be exact at this moment) as they'll jump at the chance if/when the price hits their "point". I'm not interested in this one particularly as I have one, but it is neat to watch as the seller obviously wants to sell, but is lowering it day by day a little at a time, and at some point someone will buy it.
  8. That's just it. While the movie car was well done for what it was supposed to do, to me it just flat out appears too "busy" and I'd much rather have the clean, uncluttered look of the street car. I've always like the Deloreans and can remember very well when they came out in the early '80's. They were seldom seen then, and while not a great performer considering the times, they're very cool to look at and it's too bad no one's ever seen fit to make this kit in regular street car form.
  9. WOW!! Now that is nice! I've got the GMP one from years ago, but that about rivals it in appearance, and of course didn't cost near as much!
  10. Yes Sir! One of my next "easy builds" is to do just that! Take this............. And turn it into this--------my favorite Hot Wheels of all time..................the Sand Crab! I like the magenta color as the one I have on the far left, but I'm favoring a lot more a purple metallic with a white top. The wheels I'd like to use are from a junk '65 Chevelle Z-16 kit, and an early attempt at making my own redlines for the tires. Of course this is the old Monogram 'Lil Van kit which I've had for years, and it was originally kitted as the Sand Crab from '69. I have a restorable one of those in the original box, but since this is not as valuable, I'll modify this one. I'd like some changes to the "roll bar" as well as making a new top, along the lines of the original Hot Wheels. Make the engine more detailed, and get rid of the "emptiness" of the build in general. I have no timeline when I'll start this, but it is an idea I've had for some time, and this thread got me inspired to make a point about it.
  11. I'm just curious.................is this the stock Delorean, or the "Back to The Future" one? I never cared for the movie car although the movie was good, but I'd LOVE a stock Delorean! Yeah, these 1/8 scale kits are pricey..........I have a few more months of paying for the DeAgostini 1/8 scale '67 Shelby, so that's lessened the sticker shock a lot. I haven't even started on it yet, but it'll be another one of those items that will be all but impossible to get once production is through. And yes, these things are HEAVY AND HUGE when they're done! I've got to make room right now for the bunch of boxes of parts I have for this thing as it's quite a lot now!
  12. I'd LOVE to see a Cheetah kit! Missed out on the Modelhaus body they offered (coulda done a lot with that), and I thought that Mini Exotics used to do one too? That one now is also unobtainium. Just goes to show that when you see an esoteric body or kit and you have the opportunity to buy it.............DO IT! You'll just end up kicking yourself later!
  13. I’ve wondered this for many a year! I’d love to see the likes of a 1977-79 T-Bird, 1977-79 Lincoln Mark V, 1971-73 Buick Riviera just to name a few. Sadly with the shape the hobby’s in these days, don’t look for the major manufacturers to ever make such kits. ? Down the road, we’ll have to rely on 3D printing or our own scratchbuilding to get the models we want.
  14. JC, I always thought of that Sunny kit as an FIA car, and not a true 427. It's body doesn't seem to have enough "bulk" to be a real 427. I've had the original kit for many years..........it's somewhere in my pile of forgotten kits!
  15. I got an email from Carol back around October or so. I had wrote her originally to let her and Don know that I had a change with my bank, and had to give them new account numbers. She wrote back thanking me, and let me know that my order wouldn't be ready until late Winter/early Spring. IIRC, I had placed the order I believe literally the last week they were taking orders on the 'net. It may in fact have been the last day they had the site open. There's certainly no hurry I told her as I have a TON of stuff I could build that could last a couple lifetimes!
  16. Ron, how's the roof on the Airtrax one? I'm asking because I've got one from Time Machine, and to me while it's not bad, the roof just seems a bit too flat from a side profile. I don't have a pic offhand to show, but I do remember from a side profile that there should be a curve of the roof from front to back.
  17. I don't think the the Italeri 250 SWB kit has been available since the '90's. I built mine in '98, and it wasn't that long before then that I bought it. Would love to see it back, but with the shape the hobby's in these days, I'm not holding my breath. I do have an untouched one in my stash, but I'm hanging on to it as their incredibly difficult to find. The hoary AMT one is all over the place............it figures as to me it's subpar at best.
  18. Okey was at last years NNL East in New Jersey and he seemed to have a fair amount of Johan stuff for sale. Most of it looked to be NOS X-El promos in their boxes, but it's curious that he's got a bit of items leftover at this late date. I ended up getting a beat up '55 Pontiac Starchief hardtop body and bumpers, and a PE set for 1968-70 AMX's.
  19. OK David, I found an expired auction which had the Corvair wagon, but it's not sold by the same seller. If you click here, it'll take you to it. This seller is also quite good as I've gotten parts from them (a '67 Dodge Dart conversion set), and the quality is also top notch. I have to wonder if they got the master for the Corvair from Time Machine as it looks for all the world just like his. It's interesting too that when I did a search for the kit on Time Machine's eBay page, it was nowhere to be found as far as ended auctions, but I know I saw it on there as I thought about buying it before I bought the coupe several months ago. Hope this helps!
  20. The Corvair coupe I have (a ‘64) is resin cast from Time Machine Resins on eBay. He does have good castings and while not Modelhaus quality as far as chromed parts and such, his castings are pinhole and flash free. Not slush cast in the least! ? More then likely you’ll need a donor kit (the ‘69) for tires and such, but it looks like it should, and I’ve got several kits from him that have been very good. He posts items roughly once a week, so you’ll need to do a search for him, and save him as a fave seller. You’ll get a notice when he puts up something new. Last I’ve seen of the Corvair wagon was a couple weeks ago, but I wasn’t watching it so I don’t know if it sold or not. He does seem to put one up whenever he has a round of resin kits to sell. His auctions end quickly though (five days), so you’ll have to look and act fast! ?
  21. Robert, of those you listed a number of them are out there in either resin or plastic. Porsche 356A (Fujimi made this I believe in their EM series) Corvair Wagon (I've seen resin version available through Time Machine resin on eBay) 1939 Ford (Can be done with the various '40 Ford coupe kits done over the years in plastic) The others I'm not sure about, but the Corvair coupe can be had (you don't mention what year but I assume first gen). I've seen those in resin (I have one for a future project), or a decent restorable built up can be had at either shows or eBay.
  22. I have those wheels for the Ferrari 250 Testarossa.................VERY nice set and a great alternative to the no longer available DM ones. When I want something detailed bad enough, I have spent some BIG $$$$ and time to get it done! Gerry, your collection about mirrors mine! I don't have the MFH kits though. I see a Ferrari 250 GT Lusso pop up on eBay from time to time (along with a 330 LMB). One of these days I'll bite the bullet and snag one of those!
  23. Thanks Kurt, and yes those are Detail Master's Borrani wheels when they made them way back when. They are aluminum rims with PE spokes. As James mentioned this one's never made it back to the shelves, and at this point it we may never see it again. Of all the 250 GT's, I've always thought this had the best proportions. Model Factory Hiro's kit is no slouch as well, but it's EXPEN$$IVE! It too may be unobtainium at this point however.
  24. Cruz, lookin’ mighty excellent bro! LOVE that shade of green! ???
  25. Would you believe luggage?? Cars in this class were required to have some sort of luggage compartment. Of course I wouldn't want to put any type of groceries back there. It could be cooked by the time you got it home!
