  1. Your paint is clean as a whistle! I owned a '69 in the past but it was a regular LeMans.............I've always liked this body style as it looked the best of those GM '68-'72 mid-sizers. If you're doing a '68 though don't forget the vent windows!
  2. What a cool diorama! With a cool car to boot! Excellent work there sir!
  3. Same here! I have mine trained as soon as they see me reach for the start switch------they're off and runnin'! One thing that works wonders on nosy cats to keep them off of stuff is masking tape..................you gotta leave the sticky side up! That'll keep 'em away once they get their paws on it, and it's a riot to see them try to get it off!
  4. I'm not so sure Dave................The example I saw had a $95 price to it! He offers it as a complete kit-----with the hood molded shut. If you click he gives a complete description of what the kit will have. I hope he offers it as a transkit as the '57 Desoto and the Chrysler 300 have a lot in common save for front and rear ends, trim and interior.
  5. This is so sad to read all of this! :( How does a company who was on top of the world just 15 short years ago come to this?? I've been a Chrysler fan ever since I was brought home from the hospital in a 1955 Plymouth Savoy 2 door........That's all my Dad would buy for many years was some sort of Chrysler product. He did get fed up with Chrysler quality with the last one he had, and now drives a Honda. Guess that's speaks volumes about their quality (and dealers) of late.......to lose a near lifelong customer (my Dad's almost 76) because you let your beancounters design your cars instead of great designers and engineers. It'll be a sad day in auto history the day they ink the deal.............even worse than when Olds left us-------we're talking about an entire auto company!
  6. That's a pretty one!! I got to see this firsthand at Toledo..............I was very impressed!
  7. This is funny!! I'm now up to thirteen and counting! The server must like my handle or something eh?
  8. Definitely give eBay a shot................There are some beautiful restored examples on there right now. Excellent pics too..............
  9. I guess I'm in the lead for emails...................I got 8 so far! I agree that it's time things get cleaned up a bit............how hard or painful is it to have your real name in your signature??
  10. ModelsbyRoni isn't Ted Lear.............Ted's a bit shorter than him. #13 goes by the handle Alfa, but I don't know his real name. Edit: Here I am pictured with Albert Wallace (center) and Ted..............
  11. Guys, click here to see the full size photo. To see the full size pic with names and numbers........click here. Fotki will only let you link full size pics but for so long.
  12. What a super slick conversion! I like it!!
  13. It's held in Towson, MD at their Armory every May--------and is hosted by the MAMA club out of Greenbelt, MD.
  14. I got both the coupe and the convertible. While they got the windshield frame correct on the coupe, somewhere along the line they goofed when the convertible was being engineered on the computer monitors. Here's a few comparison pics to show................I took these not long after the kit was first intro'd. Coupe windshield measured with dividers........... Convertible windshield frame before it was lowered............. Convertible frame after it was lowered........ I had to take about 2 scale inches out of the convertible's frame to get it the same size as the coupe. According to my 1:1 specs of the car, both styles used the same size windshield in '63.
  15. Here's a pic of a carbon fibre NACA duct........I think they look neat because they'll sit flush on the hood and suit the shape of the hood a bit better than the rounded ones. Now you'll have to scratchbuild these perhaps.........the toughest thing would be to keep them symmetrical. There may be some aftermarket resin ones out there you could graft in, but I don't know who makes 'em.
  16. I wasn't too keen on this at first 'cuz this isn't my style..............but I LIKE where this is going! That engine!.............Talk about stuffed to the gills!! As far as your hood dilemma I would keep it, but change the rounded scoops to "NACA ducts". That might give you the edginess and squareness you need.
  17.
  18. Post away in Spanish! We'll understand you!
  19. Now that is one squeaky clean build! That's also a favorite Ferrari of mine out of the '70's! I like your undercarriage work.........just as clean as the exterior! The suspension is outta sight!
  20. Wow Gregg, that must have been a mighty tiny car! Seriously though, I hope the damage wasn't too severe! I had my '69 AMX run into years ago parked in front of the house, and needless to say, I was NOT a happy camper!
  21. I'm guessing real.................The glass is a giveaway IMO.
  22. Those Mark VII's had air suspension? I thought only the Continentals of that era had air suspension so I'm learning something new. I remember seeing a lot (still do at times) with their fronts end high in the air, and rear ends practically dragging the ground because the air suspension had gone awry.
  23. Now if they could just get around to doing a standard hardtop coupe. California Special anyone?
  24. You're right Jairus, that IS a lot of parts!! I definitely want one on my "must buy" list! I hope the price isn't a bank breaker though! Let's hope it's not super fiddly too! That can make or break a kit of this size...........
