Gotta agree with all of you. Saw some of the same things Terry mentioned but was afraid to comment. And Bradley, I'm with you...I can not seem to finish a build because of my analness or perfectionisms and I've been super busy at my real job. Michael....you did ask for the truth did'nt you? Be carful for what you ask for..if you really dont mean it. Try to accept and try to improve. Thats the name of the game. Good luck.
  8. Pretty cool, Crankster. Have that kit but dont know what to do with it. So for now..it stays in the box. Great build.
  9. Super job on everything, from the mud to the boxes and the shine. Excellent !

I've been out of touch awhile and just saw what happened. Bummer man. I know that hurt especially when you were there for the show but you can rebuild. Even with the pipes hanging down and all the other damage...it still looks pretty awesome. More like a building in need of some repairs. Anyway...you seem to have a good attitude about you so keep on keeping on. Your work is awesome and even your damaged work is beyond most. Good luck to you !!!
  15. Rick..I have used the two coat Model Master Laquers and have had no problems with the clear they suggest using. You can polish after the clear has cured. I think you will be ok with it.
  16. You do good stuff. Is most of your materials of wood and other composites ? Opposed to styrene and other diorama materials such as foam board and the likes?
  17. Very well thought out concept. The presentation is a winner also.
  18. John...that is just down right INCREDIBLE !!!!!!
  19. Nice tutorial Doc. Good helpful stuff. Any hints on exposed hinges like for a Rolls ?
  20. Lookin great Mike. You're almost there !!
  21. Its shaping up great John. I have a question. Those hinges you did on the Rolls. I have finally gotten to a point I can work again on this and need some help with the hinges.(decided to go ahead and do them. probably change the color of doors anyway) You said you cut 6 small moon shape peices. Is that round, half moon, quarter moon? Is there a tutorial on it anywhere? I bought 3/32 tubing for hinges and .030 thick sheet for the moons. Are these correct? If you care to share some insight,I am all ears. Know you are busy but if time allows. Thanks.
  22. Cut your foil larger than the area you are foiling. Trim away excess. Burnished with something smooth and small and want tear. It just takes a little patience and practice. You can do it. Hope this helps.
  23. John.......Its just so darn real lookin!! I wanta say that you've outdone yourself on this one...but I really doubt it! They just get better and better. You've probably said already but what scale? OUTSTANDING !!!
  24. Very nice job.
