    Garage Dio

Danny...I have followed this from day one. Your additions and creativity is outstanding and should be an inspiration to all! I for one am truly inspired but my time is so limited at this point. Now...just how did you create those wheels with brake shoes and springs? Thats really cool...as is the pipes and lighting and heck, just everything !! What is the overall dimensions of this Dio ? Good Stuff is all I can say.
  2. That is awesome Adam. Such great detail and all. Looks so much like my 65GMC I had in N.C. With motor and all. Great job.
  3. Did a good job. I like it.
  4. Thats a great build. Love your decals. I think I saw him race at Lakewood Fair Grounds in Atlanta way back in the days. Great job !!
  5. I smell a RAT...and a nice one at that !! Looks great.
  6. I caught up with all 14 pages and all I can say is... you have truely perservered in this project! Looking foward to seeing more of your work on this project. Thanks for sharing.
  7. Just darn INCREDIBLE !!!!!! You told me once, but again.. what camera do you use?
  8. A job well done !!!!!!
  9. Nice ride !
  10. Nice work Lyle. Like the color and the interior.
  11. Sharp looking build/darn close to the artwork.
  12. Same here Tony. Built new shop and now busy with work and can not find time to do squat! Inspiration is a needed thing at this point. But it will come. I am not in a race.
  13. Sorry bout that. Had'nt had my mornin coffee yet. So yea a 3/16 rod would work. Thanks for wakin me up.
  14. Hey Mark. I am with you. You led me in the right direction with my airbrush and compressor and also the Pace Peacekeeper paint booth. Its great!
  15. Conrats, and good luck ! A regular food can measures approx. 3" in diameter by 4.25" long. So according to scale conversion that would be .17" by .24". So I guess a 1/16" to 1/8" rod would work. Good luck.
  16. Anything from foam board, styrofoam, cardboard, styrene and wood. Just depends what you are makinand whats on hand. Light weight is one of the keys. I am sure you will get other opinions. Packing styrofoam for computers and phones etc, has all the cubbie holes and cutouts that can be useful. Good Luck and welcome.
  17. Hey Richie. On the windshield or any other parts gone wrong. If its a Revell, you can go on line to them and they will send you the parts you need, for free. I think up to 5 parts. I've done it before on several occasions. Even decals. The other brands might have a similar deal. And welcome and good luck.
  18. Alrighty then ! You finished...looks great man ! Like the wheels.
  19. Welcome. That looks great.
  20. Good stuff. I like building with wood. Did a big barn not long ago. Keep on with it.
  21. Geez ! I am a big collecter of memorabilia of all sorts. Baseball cards and boxes that I made and sold at shows, antiques that I have restored, old vinal records, jewelry and music boxes which I built and sold and of course model cars...you name it I have it. I have always given this question a lot of thought. I have to stop myself at times and think of other things to get it off my mind. All the suggestions mentioned here are logical, even the dead and gone thing,I want be around. I really have no answer. Sell before it happens, but you dont know when it will happen. Donate to places that will have the biggest impact. Other than that, enjoy each day and build as if its your last. You never know what tomorrow will bring. On a lighter note. I have run across a Testors Porsche Carrera Targa....The kit is dated 1986. Found it in an attic of one of my clients. All parts are there. Just wondering if anyone knows how this kit fairs. And what year is the model itself. I have a silver 1/1 1974 Targa in my garage in pretty good condition(another one of my collected items) and it looks like the kit. So does anyone know about this kit? And dont worry bout stuff!
  22. Thats pretty darn nice there Harry. Great job !
