Very nice Jeff, it looks like that AMT engine was made for that kit.
-
Yeah vous (I think that's right)!
-
I thought they only made razors!

Italeri also has this Mack Superliner. I seen one or two of these still on the shelf of my LHS the last time I was there, and quite often on ebay. I think the LHS had it for around $50 or $60.

That reminds me of a time I outran a friend of mine in a drag race between his old 70something Dodge pickup and my Freightliner Classic XL tractor! He was so embarrassed he sold the Dodge for a Chevy diesel! Of course, winning that drag race with the truck was sort of a redemption for me, because in high school another friend of mine challenged me to a drag race, my 76 Mercury Cougar against him, ON FOOT! HE BEAT ME! He actually outran the car!

Cats in the model room

Does this answer your question!?!? Thankfully I don't have to worry about her getting to any built models, because the are on top of my desk's hutch, and it's too high for her to get to. It would also mean she would have to get on the desk, which is BIG TROUBLE!! -
I love this response, Mike!! I feel the same way! I see it this way, shrink wrap was made to be opened, and if you've been wanting it for so long, you obviously want to build it, it just would not be right to leave it sitting on a shelf.

You know, some of these cars in this thread so far just want to make me head here! -
Now I'm going to have to look at mine more! Even if it is the battery box, it would make a nice toolbox, too!

Believe me DW, it CAN happen! Once when I was still driving wrecker, I had to go on what was supposed to be a simple winch out that ended up being a recovery. The driver had gotten stuck on a small hill between a parking lot and a road, and he had everything bound up so bad the kingpin of the trailer actually popped the fifth wheel open. When I started winching the tractor, I noticed (thankfully!) the trailer wasn't moving and I stopped and checked the fifth wheel. It was almost ready to come out from under the trailer, another few inches and I would have dropped the trailer on the ground! It ended up we had two wreckers there, the one I had for winching the tractor, and the other to hold the nose of the trailer while we got the tractor out of the way and then move the trailer so the driver could hook back up to it.

NICE! -
Wow, great work going on guys! I've been in a Nyquil induced haze for about a week, since my better half decided she would share the flu with me , so I haven't been doing anything except looking at the back of my eyelids! If any of you happen to notice I don't have a kit in your list or you have taken your pics and I have not marked your entry with a (*), let me know and I'll get the list updated. @ Dave: Does the toolbox come in the Freightliner? I never really looked through mine yet, and if not, where did you get it? @ DW: The Kenworth is looking nice and looks like you are off to a good start on the Ford. One tip for your close up pics, try using the macro function on your camera, they will show detail much better. If you have a little icon that looks like a flower on a button, that would be the macro, if you don't have a button like that, see if you have one that says "mode". My cheap camera has the "mode" button, and that should take you to a menu where you can select the macro setting for the close ups. @ Justin: The fifth wheel releases look good, and the J shaped release is more common on the 1:1s. The brand of truck doesn't have any difference on the shape, fifth wheels are made from aftermarket manufactures, and the most common are made by Jost and Holland. The release handle is one of those little details you don't have to worry much about, anything looks good!

I think I have found the reason behind some of the ideas here!! Maybe the builders had to much of this while building! Of course, I think I found Gregg his next car! Anybody have a camera? -

emodelcars.com challenge.......
highway replied to route66modeler's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
My point is you are challenging the rest of us to list something, and you claimed you listed something with your post I quoted earlier, but the only listing I find for you is a want add, and not even under a name anyone who follows this forum would know you by. The only way I know it's yours is I'm smart enough to put two and two together from a wanted request you listed here for the same thing! I just find it funny you want to help the site, but you didn't even list what you claimed you were listing. -
5 Point Racing Harness Help
highway replied to Nate's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Nate, I'm not familiar with the harness, but I was wondering if you are putting the belts around a driver figure? If not, I would just suggest laying the belts in the seat or positioned off the seat. -

So, my question is, just where is your listing you mentioned in a trade post last night? I just looked through every listing and didn't see it anywhere. EDIT:I did find one thing there of yours, something you want! -
