  1. I know from what I've always been told, the best things come to those who WAIT!
  2. Walt that is great! I need to have a friend of mine read this, he just got a kitten a few months back and I've been trying to explain to him the "rules" he's trying to make for her will not work! I've been trying to tell him that: 1: The bed is not his anymore, it is hers and nothing is going to change that. 2: Same with the couch, you must ask her permission to sit on it now. 3: Keep the model room door shut, or you'll find her trying to work on models the way mine does!
  3. Sure thing, we need someone to keep the parking lot clean.
  4. The only good thing about the Super Bowl is it means the Daytona 500 is just around the corner!!!
  5. Didn't think it was right because it looked close, but not quite right! Still an eye grabbing car, though. This one caught my eye from across the parking lot at a local car show!
  6. Yes, it's nice after all these years they finally corrected the rear, but I have the same plans of using the Revell for a Lee.
  7. This is just my opinion, but I'd say the JFK ambulance is nothing but the real deal. The research they showed done by the seller and Barrett-Jackson themselves leaves no doubt in my mind, the numbers match everywhere.
  8. Brandon, you don't have to worry about finding anything different in the General Lee kit, the F&F kit is just a slightly modified reissue of the General.
  9. Wild shot in the dark, but I say it's a Superperformance S1 Roadster.
  10. This is just my opinion, but I enjoy seeing the cars actually SOLD!
  11. I was just looking through the docket for the auction on Barrett-Jackson's site and they have a video of the press conference dated yesterday, Jan 21, attached to the description of the auction lot. It's a 30some minute video, and from the info, I would say the crusher one is the real fake. In my opinion, there is just to much saying the one up for the auction is the real deal.
  12. Brendan, what did you use for stripping the paint from the resin body? I don't have much resin experience but have a couple bodies I've wanted to use, but been afraid of messing up the paint. I've heard the purple pond doesn't like resin! Also, very nice job, I like this project, don't know how I missed it for so long!
  13. I noticed they are all right hand drive, maybe an export idea for International?
  14. It probably wasn't noticeable, I have a diesel that has to be plugged in during the winter. Mine has a block heater that goes in place of one of the freeze plugs to warm the antifreeze, and it doesn't hurt the electric bill much at all, maybe a buck or two a month.
  15. The only Rams that I know of are the AMT SnapFast kits long out of production, but they were both long bed regular cab versions.
  16. Chad, the reissue was the same way, too. It had two dollies as well, and here I thought it was a goof in the reissue.
  17. I've not used it, but for $49.95 for 4oz of paint and 4 oz of clear, it better be good!
  18. Welcome to the forum, Jake. I'm 34 too and have been building since I was around 8, and have found through the years some easy and sometimes cheap solutions for workspaces, since I've had everything from working on the dining room table to the smallest space you could think of, the about 10 inch by 25 inch pull out desk in the sleeper of a big rig, and yes, I did work on little trucks in the big truck. I have a couple truck kits that have almost 25 million 1/25 scale miles on them! Anyway, you've had some great suggestions so far for workbench ideas, and here's mine. The main part is a student sized desk I picked up at a church rummage sale for only a couple dollars, the hutch I found at an auction for $25, and the area where the black semi and large scale Trans Am kit box is an old TV stand my better half's parents were going to throw out just around the same time I bought the hutch. I goofed with the hutch, I thought since it had a nice desk on the picture on the box, the desk came with it, OOPS! As for paints, I prefer Testors Model Master enamels and Tamiya paints, and DupliColor automotive paints for spray painting. I keep them in a rolling toolbox that has a lift out tray where I keep the bottles and underneath keep the small Testors sized spray cans. Storagewise, I have a few old 5 shelf bookcases that were going to get thrown out by my better half's aunt, and have bought three 3 shelf bookscase from Walmart for about $25 each. I also have the added storage space from my hutch and the old TV stand. As models start stacking up in front of the bookcases, I just go pick up another one. Of course, the comfy desk chair is a must! EDIT:By the way, you can see I'm not short on light either! The two lights on the desk were 27 watt (I think) daylight lamps that were about 20some bucks each, and the lights under the hutch I found on clearance for just a couple bucks at Lowe's. When I'm at the desk, it lights up the whole living room!
  19. You're not the only one!
  20. Looking good so far, James. Now just to get working on mine!
  21. Mike, I wouldn't really concider him a rock star, Stevie Ray was more like the best Texas blues player to ever hold a Strat! A very good friend, more like brother really, introduced me to S.R.V.'s music after he had died, and that tragic plane crash was on that friends birthday! Stevie Ray was and still is his idol, unfortunately he never met him. My friend also just happens to play guitar, and he plays "Voodoo Chile" darn near as good as S.R.V.!
  22. Yep, I don't have any lift on mine, but it doesn't need it! I have a Super Duty suspension (from when Super Duty really meant something ) under mine since it used to be a wrecker. It's clawed it's way through over a foot of snow with no problems and plowing with the front axle!
  23. You mean something like these? I know they quite as nice as the 32, but they ain't bad either! Here's a shot of the Cabriolet version.
  24. I went to one of those meetings, fell off the wagon the very next day, then built a model of the wagon I fell off of for the next meeting!
