  1. Is a 34 Ford with a top fuel engine wild enough?? And yes, it still fits under the hood!! If that's not crazy enough, how about this failed attempt of an Allison V12 in a semi!?!? The only reason it became a failed attempt was the idea came to late in the build to modify things I had already finished. But someday.......
  2. I'd go for this! With a base price of $1,700,000 for a normal (if there is such a thing) Veyron and $2,700,000 for the Super Sport, I think that outdoes the other wrecks, because this one only included ONE CAR!! The insurance payout was $2,000,000 even though it is now suspected fraud. http://wot.motortrend.com/insurance-company-claims-man-deliberately-crashed-bugatti-veyron-into-lake-140909.html
  3. I don't know Rick, it appears as if he hasn't been online since Nov. 28. I hope everything is ok, because that is odd of him not to keep in touch on a trade. There's many times that we PM each other just to say hi, and the last I heard from JR was about a month ago.
  4. Hey Steve, why don't you take your own advice and you should have reread your comment before hitting post!! The comment you quoted from Andy WAS what Joseph's sig line said BEFORE it was editted!! Andy is not trying to be a know it all at all, because it's obvious he read (which was the reason I thought it inappropriate!) the same thing I read! So I guess that makes me a know it all too??
  5. Well, you didn't say kettle corn, you said popcorn!! Oh, and here's your Coke!
  6. Ok, that was the only difference Fredrick! Also, yes the three hobby shops in my area all had much better selections than Walmart, and guess what, even though I bought quite a bit of kits from Walmart, I bought quite a bit from the LHS too! That's another reason why I have doubles of many kits, I liked the first ones I bought at Walmart I wanted more, and went to the LHS to buy them!
  7. Me too!! I always love me a good dually!
  8. You know what I find funny with Johnny's statement Fredrick, especially the last sentence?? I have multiple issues of AMT kits, some that were bought through a hobby shop and some that were bought at Walmart easily distinguished by the unique checkerboard boxs, and they have the same amount of parts!! No missing "goodies", no difference at all but the boxes. I guess that just blew your theory out of the water, doesn't it Johnny!?!?
  9. I guess with all the talk of grammar in this thread, this is now relevant.
  10. Also, next time (doesn't do much good now but for future reference) try spraying a coat of clear after you have masked the first color but before you spray the second. I haven't tried it yet, but I seen that tip on Spike TV's "Musclecar", and the clear is supposed to seal the tape edge to prevent the bleed under.
  11. I wouldn't complement him on his maturity level yet, Joshua. Did you happen to read the second line in his signature?? I wouldn't say that someone who uses that type of inappropriate language on a public forum AND knowing there are members here under 18 years of age is very mature! Great phrase for a bar, not for here.
  12. You might not like it, but using "are" is the proper usage for groups. "IS" is for singular usage and "ARE" is for plural usage. Examples: Harry is going to the model show. Andy is not going to the model show. Matt, Bill, and Chip are waiting for the new Moebius Great Dane trailer to be released. Andy and James are not going to go to the hobby shop tomorrow. See, a grammar lesson and I still even kept it model related!!
  13. That is a very nice conversion, and I would have never thought it would be a diecast if you hadn't said anything. You mentioned the donor was originally a wrecker. What are your plans for the wrecker body??
  14. Thanks Harry, because I was thinking "Warm as BLEEP"!!
  15. Don't forget, it's the perfect replacement for chrome too!!
  16. Well, we aren't talking mini fridges here, we're talking about real man sized fridges that will hold more than a six pack! And for those not versed in the Queen's proper English, and "estate" is a station wagon to us common folk! I guess there's learning in watching "Top Gear" after all!!
  17. Yeah Nick, I gotta agree with Keith there, if anything I'd use just either regular black primer (which my still be a little too much on the flat side) or semi gloss black for that. The dullcote would make it too flat.
  18. I don't see why not, but the primer should be a flat enough finish to start with. If nothing else, test it out on a spare junk piece.
  19. Now get it right Harry, trucks in Pamp's neck of the world are called lorries!!!
  20. No, to the clearance shelves!!
  21. And I'm not a huge fan of big wheels on old iron, but those really set the Riv off. Nice job!
  22. Umm, yeah, uhh.....ok....WOW!! After picking up my jaw from the floor, all I can say is I'm speechless!! Very nice and interesting job!
