I figured since Rob was the only one who actually answered, other than the great pics of course, here are some of the kits I know of that have six bangers, Mike. AMT 1969 Firebird 400/Trans AM-includes both V8 400 and optional I-6 Blue Flame engines AMT 1989 Firebird Trans AM 20 Anniversary Indy Pace Car Edition-includes Buick supercharged V-6 Grand National engine Monogram 1989 Trans AM 20th Anniversary Edition-nealry the same car as the AMT kit with a solid roof instead of the Indy correct T-Tops, Buick supercharged V-6 Revell/Monogram 1986 Buick Grand National and GNX version-Buick supercharged V-6 in its original home AMT 1950 Chevy 3100 Pickup-216 ci Thriftmaster I-6 AMT 1960 Chevy Custom Fleetside Pickup-I-6 AMT 1994 Chevy S10 SS/LS-4,3 L V-6 AMT Jaguar XJ-220-3.5 L Twin turbo V-6 AMT 1996 & 1997 Ford Explorers-4.0 L V-6 Tamiya Nissan Skyline GT-R(Sports Car series #90 kit, there are other Skylines that are just curbsides but this one has the full detail engine)-DOHC Twin turbo I-6 Revell Plymouth Prowler-3.5 L V-6 Trumpeter 1963 Nova SS Coupe-I-6 AMT 1993 Ford Ranger Splash-4.0 L V-6 Revell 1990 Ford Thunderbird SC-3.8 L supercharged V-6 Revell Monogram 1979 Chevy El Camino- V-6 Those are just some I found in my collection that are six bangers, and that was just a qiuck scainng of the stash! I was shocked I even had that many six cylinder cars on the shelf! There are also the 1/20 scale Lindberg Ford Explorer, Nissan King Cab, and Toyota Pickup I did not include above, obiviously because of the scale, I did not want to mix them in the 1/24 and 1/25 scale kits above. There are also two other kits I have in the collection that I think have six bangers too, but not listed above just because they are buried and would be a pain to dig out right now! They are the Monogram 1953 Corvette, which should have the I-6 since that was all that Corvettes had in them the first couple years, and the AMT 1939? Chevy Hot Rod that came in the late 90s AMT "Hot Rods" 3 kit pack with the 34 Ford and 40? Ford Sedan Delivery. I'm pretty sure it has the Stovebolt 6 in that kit. I hope that helps expand your (and everybodies ) knowledge of avaiable six cylinders in scale form Mike, and I'm sure there are probably more hiding on my shelf or yours too!

Queen, ain't she gettin hitched this weekend!?!?! They won't find anything here!!!

It's really not going to have the "ply" look of plywood, but I'd suggest either basswood or balsa wood. That's where I'd start. If you could find them thin enough to still look right in scale, you could use the bass or balsa and glue a few sheets together for a true plywood look.

Dawn Power Dissolver, no harmful fumes, no need for gloves or a Haz Mat team, and will work in as little as three or four hours. Overnight and the chrome should fall off by itself by morning! EDIT: It will removed the lacquer undercoat, too.

What wedding, are you getting married!?!?! On the serious side, I wonder if that is related to problems Photobucket had? There were 2% of their customers effected by a week and a half outage of service, and wouldn't you guess, I was one of the lucky ones! -
Does anyone make one?
highway replied to Custom Hearse's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Yes, Monogram also made a 40 foot Freuhauf flatbed trailer for those kits. By the way, don't tell me the KW you got is the blue molded aerodyne, that is one of my "Holy Grail" kits! -
He's going to start selling baseball caps!?!?! By the way, I'm a crankyhead every day, seems I can never find the right side of the bed to wake up on, or just an idiot on a cell phone while driving makes me a crankyhead!!!

This sounds like an interesting build, I'll enjoy watching it. Unfortunately since I don't keep receipts, I won't be able to grab something off the shelf to build for this.

You made my day Dave!! -
Tamiya's Titanium Gold (X-31) would work, too. It is a silvery gold color.

It sounds like y'all have to go to Walmart and get the shirt I picked up a week or two ago. It says "I put the "PRO" in procrastinate!" -

The Cars of Rock 'n' Roll and Country Music
highway replied to CorvairJim's topic in Community Builds
I was looking through YouTube trying to figure out who actually sang "The Ride" for the Earnhardt tribute and still not sure, even though I found a couple Tim McGraw videos of the regular version. Anyway, I found this good video of the Earnhardt version, and since Friday would have been his birthday, a little tribute to the legend. -

Ah, there it is!! I lost it in all the wires! Thanks to Dave pointing it out to me, I zoomed in on it and that does appear to be the correct coil Rodney. -

Not a problem, since I haven't got any real plan with this yet, I might not even need the interior! I might just make a rollcage and a seat. -

Yes, nice pics Dave. I thought the black thingy was were the throttle cables went to, but I just wasn't sure. One question, where is the coil located? I didn't see it unless I'm missing it. -
Custom parts in current kits
highway replied to Greg Myers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I guess you could call them current, a lot of those custom kits have been reissued lately. I know I have the old 53 Ford truck that is a late 90s reissue that still contains the styling parts like quad headlights and custom grille. I'm not certain, but I think the mid 2000s issue of the AMT 49 Merc has parts like that, also. I can't remember if it came with parts like those, because I've not gotten the kit, but the 49 Ford just recently reissued may have some of those customizing parts, too. -
After about a half an hour of staring at LAPD cars searching in Bing, guess what I found a picture of! What do expect from a PD that also has this sitting around. I was also looking at the pics on the National Police Car Archives, ran by our very own James Duff (niteowl7710), and found this interesting D.A.R.E. Caprice. It's not LAPD, but I think it's still cool! Thanks to James for putting together such a wonderful reference site, it's always my first stop for police car references! In case you might not have it in your favorites list, here is a link to the home page. Check it out! Nation Police Car Archives

Oh, by the way, I just might use that song as my entry, "a stock car colored black" should be easy to find in my stash! -

Dale would approve!! Long live the memory of the INTIMIDATOR!!! By the way, I have that song in my iTunes that I downloaded from the now gone file sharing site Limewire, and acorrding to the way it was listed, the song was done by Toby Keith. I might just have to make a video using some pics of my diecast collection and other pics I have of Dale and make a YouTube video sometime in the very near future! -

Looking good Rodney! I have a few friends that have this style F150, I'll see if I can get together with one of them sometime soon (hopefully this week) and get some underhood pics for you. -

It's strange you would bring this thread up today (well yesterday now ) Todd, I actually had this one off the shelf for a little while looking at it! I was throwing around the idea of using the frame from an old USA-1 I got in a trade and shortening it to fit this truck, or possibly rebuilding the Chevy for a Ford VS Chevy battle, with the Ford winning of course! By the way Todd, if you would be interested in getting rid of your gluebomb, PM me. I might need an interior!
