  1. Jed, if you mean the AMT USA-1 monster truck, yes the dually bed will fit that cab, and all the other AMT C1500 longbed glue kits as well. Here is one my friend built using one of the standard AMT kits and the dually bed from the Snapfast kit.
  2. Nice job, if it was flat black it could have been the Magnum Jeremy Clarkson smashed on "Top Gear".
  3. These are just a few of the many pieces of my Dale Earnhardt diecast collection.
  4. In memory of Dale on what would have been his 60th birthday, you will live forever in our hearts.
  5. Nick, that was my point, HE made it a trade and agree to you to return you something, which for some reason he did not hold fast to. It really doesn't matter if it was prior to you sending the airbrush or not, if he said he was going to do something in return for the generosity you showed him, HE HAD BETTER LIVE UP TO IT ! I hold you to a high regard Nick, you were just trying to help your fellow man and brother modeler, I have not only been on the giving end but the receiving end of donations of parts and kits myself, and if I had a spare airbrush, I may have just been the one in your shoes. The biggest thing that I seen in your last post was you had PMs from a least four other people that were cheated also, so whether you are really worried about getting something from him or not is beside the point, Ken still needs to know so if this member is not on the radar yet, HE CAN BE NOW!!!
  6. Not just you Dan, that's all I have too.
  7. It's exactly why Ken took the responsibility of the trade moderator, and to stop threads like this becoming... All of those who have posted in this thread have been members here long enough to be well aware of the fact when you have trade issues CONTACT KEN HART!!! These issues are exactly what he volunteered to help solve!
  8. Uh, I thought Ken Hart took the trade moderator position to prevent threads like this?!?!
  9. I know I'm on the edge of my seat!!!
  10. I second Steve's thoughts, Dave, and stay safe. The image from what I've seen on the Weather Channel this morning most disturbing to me was the footage of one tornado in Alabama or Georgia (didn't catch quite where, I was rushing to get out the door to get the better half to work) that was going down the side of a mountain. They even said as the video was playing that it was proof topography will not always keep you safe, which living here in West Virginia has been something I had always heard that the hills would help prevent a bad tornado. That video this morning now has me rethinking and the worry factor has gone up a bunch!
  11. I was still 2 years from birth when that happened in 74, but I've been through the aftermath of some bad ones when I was still driving truck over the road, and sometimes the footage on TV does not do the true damage justice. There were some that went through Oklahoma City and Tulsa in the early 2000s that I was a day or two behind and I just could not believe the devistation. A truck stop I usually stayed at if I was stopping for the night in the OKC area was in the path, and was completely gone, there was nothing left but the parking lot! My heart and prayers go out to all affected by the storms yesterday, and to those who lost family and friends due to those storms, and to all in the path of the storms today, please stay safe.
  12. See what happens when I get bored!!! Those were just the quick ones I found in the stash, can you imagine if I would have been bored enough to start digging!?!?!
  13. You're quite welcome, and thank you too. I try to help whenever I can, and sometimes even when I can't!
  14. Down Harry, down!! I wasn't saying anything about them racing in the Trans Am series or not, I was merely talking about the name itself! Ford had Mustangs, Chevy had Camaros, all raced in the series, but they didn't have a T/A named street model. GM, and more specifically Pontiac, was the ONLY one to pay for the rights to use the copyrighted Trans Am name, just like Monogram did for their kits in the scale world for many years. Yes, other companies made Trans Am models, but all were branded as "Firebirds"! Even now in the Revell/Monogram days, they don't pay for the name anymore, and all the kits reflect that. The 78 Firebird from about four or five years ago is a perfect example, it's the same kit as the 80s issue "Warbird" kit, but gone is the Trans Am name not only from the box art but the decal sheet as well. The only ones I still don't understand regarding the licensing of the Trans Am name is the old MPC kits, they have "Firebird Trans Am" on the box art, but the decals are usually in two or three pieces so the entire "Trans Am" name is not together in one piece.
  15. If I remember correctly, GM did not "rip off" the Trans Am name, they had to pay the same fees to the racing series as any one else using the Trans Am name. If anyone could be concidered guilty of trying to rip off the Trans Am name, it would be Dodge. Even though they never actually used the Trans Am name, rememeber the 1970 Challenger T/A? The T/A stands for Trans Am!
  16. By the way, a van trailer at the standard 13'6' height would be 10.125 inches high in scale.
  17. What are you trying to say Doc, would these signs be posted near you!?!?!
  18. Not looking bad! I've driven a few of these in my day, and have two of these kits on the shelf, both with broken frames!! Since I'm getting better at fixing frames, hopefully these will come back to life someday!
  19. I don't have any finished yet , but here are some of mine I have as works in progress or stalled projects. AMT Dodge dually with AMT/Model King Open Road Camper AMT Dodge dually with AMT/Model King Racer's Wedge (the truck was another friend's project gone bad, but since he didn't do a bad job lengthening the frame {note the four catalytic converters in the second pic} I figured I could modify the wedge to fit {wedge still needs widened to fit over the frame and wheels}) My current WIP, my Ford F350 I'm converting to make my 1:1 daily driver What I hope it looks like when I'm finished. I also have some that I don't have pics for that I'm planning on coverting to wreckers using the beds from this kit. This one is not mine, but a friend of mine build this one using the bed from the AMT Snapfast Chevy dually and combining it with one of the full detail AMT Chevy 1500 longbed glue kits for the frame and engine, and is scratchbuilding a slide in camper for it.
  20. Thanks for bringing in the big trucks to the 6 cylinder party Dave! Here is my favorite 6 cylinder, my yet to be finished Detroit Diesel Series 60 I'm putting between the framerails of my Ford LTL9000 Custom.
