  1. This is sucks! Thank you for information, Mr.mopar.
  2. Hi, Dave. I like that day cab, but don't forget about International 9900.
  3. How do you think: is this book worth the money?
  4. Thank you for congratulations, Charles. I have seen them on Italery site just yesterday, though I sent photos long time before. I was kinda surprised. As for the books: Is "International Trucks" tells about all the line up from International trucks till mid 90's? I have to confess: mostly I like North American Trucks since 1970's to nowadays.
  5. Hi, friends! I just have read "Ford Truck Chronicle" book. Very enjoyable announcement. Many color pictures of trucks from different eras. Although there are black and white photos. They are usefull too. The book is a guide through Ford Truck manufacturing from the begining to 2006 year. This book tells not only about heavy trucks, but about medium duty and light duty, vans, panel trucks. I like them too FTC is full of many interesting events I could not know. Could anybody tell me: is there the book like this about GMC, Dodge trucks? Maybe you know some Publication That tells about Truck brand from the begining to nowadays?

  12. Dave, clean superb work. I like this giant. Now I see what you are busy with.
  13. Cool arts, man. I especialy liked the first picture. I used to draw cars, trucks and movie characters my own, but changed it to truck modeling, which takes much time/ Well done!
  14. Wow! Thanks for sharing. I really like the 1/16 white/light green Peterbilt 379 and K100 - too.
  15. Hi, Dennis. Check this link: http://forum.autoinscale.com//viewtopic.php?id=5734
  16. Hello, friends. Here are 379's resin hood and single headlights form Bobby Griffen: Here I decided to reinforce middle axle, as Italeri's one (see above one) are hollow. I'd rather used some steel rod or tube, but couldn't find suitable one. So AMT's sprue was used for solid axle. When I had built "Can Do" wrecker, I noticed "Peterbilt" logo on rear axle brackets, which doesn't exist on Italeri's one: To copy that I used technique recently described by one of the AF-forum members. Here are materials needed: Take a piece of foil and fix it over the detail to copy: Using rounded toothpick smoothing the foil down. Very small details (my case) can be picked out with sharp end of toothpick later: Our mould: Casting the resin : Here are our billets after an hour: A little sanding from back side and we have a logo. It turned out so thin, that can be glued on curve surface: Now I'm asking my self: to glue the logo on axle bracket or on air balloon? Actually the logo is so small (about 3mm whide), that details are hard to see (and hard to reproduce in fact) Even in "Macro" I couldn't focus my camera well. Feel free to ask questiones.
  17. Can you show - how does it looks like, when assembled. Can't understand: what it is for? Thanks in advance.
  18. I like the truck and specially the body. Excellent work. I love the white and black color scheme too.
  19. Thank you, guys for your words. I'm hapy, that you like them. 2 Kodiak Island Modeler & macs_rock: Next time I'll try to picture my self with the model. But your words are compliment for me.
  20. Hi, Matthew. The net is a piece of KFS etched mesh, painted mat black.
  21. Thank you, friends for kind comments. A little more photos (I'm not allowed post more than 10 pictures at once).
  22. Yes, approximately. The originals are 12mm high, my own casted are 11mm high, but I will lower them accordingly. I hope to lower the truck about 4 - 5 inches. Is that O-key? Tony, thank you for your thoughts.
  23. [twitter][/twitter]Hi, friends. Let me show you some of my recent models: WesternStar Constalation was my 7-th model and the first one which airbrushed. The color is Model Master “Classic whiteâ€. The original decals are covered with acrylic lacquer. Both the truck and trailer built out of box: Next is a model of one of the most beautiful Stepp’s wrecker. I've started with chassis and plan to make a "working" lifting axle. The cylinders of lifting gear was made from insulinic disposable syringe. To escape the joints on fuel tanks and exhaust pipes, I've washed the chromed papts, fill the joints, prime and chromed them again. On the engine you can see some wireing. I used SMD leds to imitate "working" lights. In the headlights there are white leds 0604 (Apr. 1 x 1,5 mm), painted in transparent orange (it shouldn't looks like a xenon) and covered with a piece of tracing paper (so you can't see the orange inside the headlight). In the tail-lights are installed red-leds 0805 (Apr. 2 x1,5 mm). The clock batterys and the button were located at the toolbox before the lifting axle. The door was cut out and hinged on hangers. Next I decided to camouflage the battery-box as an oil can and added some tools from Italeri's Accessories. The door of the bunk was cut out and hinged too. All the rest doors were designed as opening. The reverse motion light reflectors were painted by brush (metallic grey, aluminium). I used the adhesive ruber tape around the glass to give the lights more realistic view. The mudflaps are made from black/white mate and chrome "Oracl" tape. Unfortunately the steering wheel was damaged when I dryed it after painting under the lamp. But it's O.K. I've made the new one even better. The wipers are taken from Italeri's model-kit. The flagstaffs are made from a paper-clip. The antennas are from copper wire. The spotlight on the roof can rotate up to 180 degree. The body of the wrecker is painted with ММ Classic White. The last one, but the best of mine is a heavy truck - Ford Aeromax 120 by Italeri. I have slightly completed the base kit: Chassis and engine are filled with plumbing. Sleeper’s walls completed with trimming, lockers, micro wave oven and light. There is batteries box under the lower bunk to feed LEDs in headlights and sleeper. Cab interior is detailed from dashboard and radio to seat belts and curtain behind the chairs. Scratchbuild parts are: front fenders, mud flaps, taillights, windscreen wash bottle and valves. Doors are made opening. Besides rear mirrors, exhaust pipes cups, fifth wheel and side step are made adjustable and movable. In this project I have used: etched windscreen wipers, number plates, logos from “Kit form Serviceâ€, as well as Chassis Data Plates and Ford logo decals. The rest of this model is made out of the box. The cab, sleeper and hood are airbrushed with Tamiya’s TS-8 and clear varnish TS-13. Feel free to ask questiones.
