beat me to it This was going to be my next project, at least i can see the quality of this kit now, it looks nice, i think i might buy it just for those cam covers, they are very well detailed, looks like this project is going nicely, keepin my eyes on it.

Does anybody make resin parts for the revell 67 gtx?
-
Thanks mall cop (just read your name), i was going to make them out of styrene tubing but i need to get them all the same size :/
-
I am currently working on a 67 gtx and i want to raise the rear suspension slightly to give it an aggresive stance, i don't want to cut it up really, i could use risers from a 69 superbee kit...finding them is hard though. So how can i do it?

This and the 06 impreza are my favorite, nice job on them!

I was thinking of putting a a tuner engine in it for a change but i just need to get one. I have noticed there is some warping of one of the A pillars but once the rollcage is in and glass is glued in it should straighten it up. Here the paint colour keeping with the euro style gtx, british racing green with gold and silver met flakes.

Thanks for the comments guys, i went to town yesterday to get an adapter for my paint gun but the lhs wasn't open for some reason so im going to have to get one online along with some O rings but i went to halfords and picked up 1lt of paint for my real car for free..saved me £15, it should cover what i need to paint on my real car but its also the colour im using on this car, i will get a good pic of the paint tomorrow as its 12:30am here but its a really nice deep metallic colour.

Ah right, saves me getting a tranny for the other 426 then, this engine will have a supercharger on it so i hope it all fits under the hood. Here are the wheels im thinking of using, im thinking gloss black with a silver lip, i stole them from a diecast mini cooper i got in a easter egg haha, the tyres look a bit small imo but i should be able to find some more.

Ok so this is my latest project, the revell 67 gtx sox & martin, im going to build it my own style though, so far iv only built dodges and fords, plymouths were always abit too expensive for me but this was £10 so i couldn't say no really. Some of you might think this project is abit fast but the charger is on hold until i get the parts for it and the mustang is the same, on hold until i get parts. Quick Review - This is a very nicely moulded kit, it is very well detailed, all the parts fit correctly. There is some flashing on some parts but it is very thin, it can be snapped off eaisily with no damage left, this is one of those kit where you have to attach everything from the chassis to the door handles, over all this is an excelent kit. Now some pics. This kit comes with a very nice 440 so im going to use it with some custom parts added..... EDIT: It came with the 440 but the body says 426 on the side so im going to use a 426, iv test fitted the engine and it fits the mounts. Also checked the date and it says 1994 and when i got it, it was still shrink wraped, instructions were still white rather then aged yellow so its been well preserved for 16 years, but im not bothered about how old a model kit is...i just want to build it.

While i was taking the my mustangs windows off the trees and the rear one didn't come off cleanly so iv sanded the whole window, im going to paint them black but just incase i change my mind is there a way to get them clear again? the only products i have at home now are car polish and t-cut.

Thanks guys but i am swayed by a revell kit i saw for the same price, sox and martin plymouth gtx. I haven't built a plymouth yet and i love the GTX. -

Colour me gone, 1964 dodge 330 super stock -
what are lindberg 1/24 car model kits quality like?
-
Ok the last pics were just to keep this build alive but it didn't really work. I got the engine mounted level but i still can't make these side mounts, now there is less then a 1mm gap between the engine and the radiator shroud which im happy with, i might cut away part of the shroud still though to show what im going to do, the first thing is to get a smaller radiator, i am going to use the original fog light holes as cold air induction holes but im not going to drill holes in the grill, i dont know how to build the induction filters but for the cold air hoses im going to bend thin wire round a cotton bud then put heatshrink over it, shrink it down to make that induction hose effect, im going to make 2, 1 per intake. I also found a NOS bottle from a AMT F&F Eclipse, i dont know where im going to put it yet but the injectors will go where the mustangs original air filter would go. I have to go to the dentist tomorrow so i will pick up some supplies from the model shop which is conveniently next door to the dentist. Also iv decided to stick with the original custom colour, iv just ordered a new airbrush so it should get some paint this week. EDIT: Before i forget, revell have been kind to send me the strut brace from the bullitt kit, the gt500 hood iv been wanting and the gt500 decals.
-
Better picture of the front, the bottom grills look more detailed because the body is primered, the upper grill isn't. Interior mockup, the new shifter looks more accurate to the driving position, these are not the seats im using, iv ordered some racing seats...im just waiting for them (stupid ash cloud). Engine bay mockup, im finding it impossible to make the side mounts, it does not have the oil pan attached and iv decided not to attach it, 1...you will probaly never see it and 2...it sits perfect now so adding the pan would just push it up and create more work.

The one you have Matt is a r34.
-
Alright thanks guys, i think the r34 is a newer one but if this is true about missing engine i might have to find a revell one.
-
Iv been building model cars for a while now but iv only ever build revell kits, on the odd ocasion amt kits. I am thinking of buying a fujimi skyline r34 nismo but i don't know the quality of the kits...they any good?
-
Thanks man, i hope to get the gt500 extractor hood soon along with the gt500 spoiler. I acctually prefer the v6 mustang to the v8, what it lack in power it makes up for in cornering but if i made a v6 mustang it would be nothing new or unique. I got the flat black yesterday morning but iv been helping my dad with his real car, mainly tcut and polish I am going to paint tomorrow, no excuses.
-
lol, thanks, i wanted to get stuff painted today but iv been mainly focusing on bodywork and fabrication, alot of the parts need flat black so iv got some coming but i thought i may as well paint the chargers body when iv got the black so iv been focusing on the charger bodywork the most, the hole for the emblem on the mustang is now filled, im wanting smoked tailights so im going to paint gloss black from the inside. hopefully i can get progress pics tomorrow.

looks nice, the paints nice and smooth, i like the fat tyres, gives it that old skool muscle look, those exhausts just finish the look. i like it all so far.
