Im not sure because iv not been here long but i contacted tamiya to ask if they would would consider making a 1/24 model of my 1:1 car a MG ZR, i was in the world rally a few years back so why not.

Yep real auto paint, i didn't paint it, i dont think the guy used primer because there was abit that i chipped off and it was the styrene under it.

Man im really loving this build, custom made rockers? they look sweet, i should be able to start detailing more starting in september, i start a 3d design crafts course at college, think i might get a few custom frames cast in metal, engines, interior parts ect. I may have missed it but any thoughts on colour yet?

haha no thats cellulite lol, cellulose paint is real car paint, i don't know if what you have over the pond is cellulose (duplicolour), but over here we have carplan and hycote paint oh and halfords but i don't go anywhere near that stuff.

Iv tried lots of things, i tried soaking in bleach...nothing. i tried soaking in engine degreaser....nope. i tried cellulose thinners, try guess the result. What else can i try? its not diecast so i can't use paint stripper.

4 is between 2f2f and tokyo drift, remember at the end of 2f2f brian got his record clean so he could become a cop again.

Im glad they are doing this 5th film because it ties up the loose ends between 4 and tokyo drift and im guessing will show Seans background story. It might be good to have a europe based one but dunno about here in england, all the chavs will probaly wreck it but on the other hand it will be a closed set and there are many custom cars over here.

OK so most of you car enthuisests have probaly heard that they are making the next instalment in the fast & furious already. From what iv read of the plot it sounds like its going to be alot like 4 which i think is the best one so far. Its slightly confusing though, Justin Lin said he wanted to do the film in europe but its being done in LA, Dominican Republic, Pueto Rico and Atlanta, The cast so far are Vin Diesel (Dom), Paul Walker (Brian), Jordana Brewster (Mia), Sung Kang (Han), Lucas Black (Sean), Tyrese Gibson (Roman), Brian Tee (DK), Tego Calderon (Tego), Don Omar (Rico), Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (Detective Johnson). I think the movie will probaly be split into 3 stories. Dom and Brian running from the cops, Han when he first went to Japan and Sean's background story before Tokyo drift. It would make sense really. It would be somthing for everybody, alot of muscle and tuner cars. What we all really wanted in 4 was Dom and Fenix to have a fight but it never happened lets hope Dom and Johnson have a fight, more evenly matched. I was glad to see though in 3 and 4 they didn't use any of that, push the NOS button and make the background go blury nonsence really made the films look more realistic. Aparently they have already started planning the 6th film too but they won't be filmed back to back. Its set to release april 3rd 2011, so what cars are you guys wanting to see in the film? For me its.... 70 Dodge Charger (obviously) 70 Monte Carlo (sean) Skyline R34 (obviously) 70 GTX (Maybe) MG ZR (never sold in america but could import one) MG SV (never sold in america but could import one) 2008 Lancer evo 10 2008 Lancer evo 9 2008 WRX STI (maybe a special appearence by Ken Block drifting?) Vauxhall VXR Bathurst 1970 Dodge Challenger 2009 Dodge Challenger 2008 Mustang 2009 Corvette ZR1 Toyota Supra (from the 1st film) Nissan 350z Nissan 370z Mazda rx7 (veilside) and alot more, be nice to see the neons come back.

ACR and ZR1 im looking forward to, unfortunatly i can't get any, really need to start saving for my driving lessons now.

Thanks for all your suggestions guys i found the eaisiest way of the sugestions was to mask off, lay down my first colour, then some clear to seal it then mask for the second colour, lighly clear that then take masking off and do a wet coat.

The old 911s like this one in my opinion are the best, they look much nicer then newer ones. Il definetly be watching this.

Are the revell engine parts paks litraly just parts for the engines or are they the complete engine?

A few of my mates on another forum use this stuff alot to paint their xmods, they use duplicolour as the primer, maybe try tamiyas surface primers too. P.S. il be putting a new vid up today.

Does anybody make some aftermarket wide arch kits? I know xmods international have a few sets but they are abit expensive and not the sort im looking for, im looking for a set that would fit a 2006 revell mustang.

Yeah i guess, its weird though because i used to get flawless paintjobs on xmods, maybe because its different plastic, dunno oh and you got a pm comin your way. Added a heavy coat of clear from a can and its still got texture from the black but the clear acctually reflects now, i had no wax so i had to improvise, 3 in 1 oild on a microfibre cloth.

Heres a pic of my rattle can results, this is before wax and polish but i can see my face in it clearly. I work part time for VW painting for if people scratch their rides, we use cellulose paint there through paint guns but we arn't allowed to make it mirror shine because thats not how it was painted in the factory, in the factory its painted by machines but people don't wet sand the paint or anything thats why they have slight texture but there are people who have a custom colour that they want painting on, then we can give them mirror shine. i will get a better pic when its sunny.

Just went round the corner to the car shop and picked up these. Also i have some clear coat iv not used yet, when i say some..... Carplan has better clear then hycote but hycote has better colour and primer, i just looked at the can and realised something... so il shoot a coat on the mustang project and see how it turns out.
