  1. I was sanding some putty on a body, its in a awkward place and iv accidently sanded down a pannel line, how can i redo the lines to make it look like new?
  2. Thanks man, the putty im using is milliput 2 part epoxy. Heres a design iv made for this car from the 2005 mustang gt blueprint, iv added the front lip i want to get, a shelby gt500 spoiler and the obvious 2 colours and decals. and heres a paintjob i did to another stang except this project will be gloss black and gloss white instead of flat, anyway, all for now.
  3. ok so not much change but heres a few pics, I need to get some slighty narrower wheels because i don't really want to widen the arches, im not sure what wheels to get though. I need to get a resin front lip too and a aftermarket rear spoiler by fujimi. After that the body work is done and ready for paint. For the engine, im having too much trouble with this v10 fitting so i want to get a gt500 engine and interior tub then moddify the engine as much as i can. The reason i would need a gt500 interior tub is because the mustang gt engine bay is smaller so the gt500 engine won't fit the standard gt interior.
  4. OMG lol, very nice work, you are going to have to do a tutorial.
  5. i use humbrol glue, it can eat away at paint but its recomended by most model manufacture to scrape the paint off the part your gluing. It dries clear so i use it on windows too, i just use a toothpick and apply a very thin line to the window frame on newer cars, on older cars its eaiser because most of their windows go on the inside.
  6. OK so abit more bodywork has been done today. I hate how on the real mustang those lower grills are not actually functional and i don't like that little peice of plastic infront of the radiator either..... It needs abit of sanding done to get it smooth but i think you see what im getting at. I will probaly be using 2 radiators from the ferarri enzo kit but i dont know where i can relocate them as theres not much room in the engine bay now and there will be less once iv started detailing the engine......any ideas? I only need a few things to complete the bodywork, a resin front lip and a aftermarket wing (spoiler)then it can be primed, painted, and decaled.
  7. While im figuring out a way to modify the body for some wider wheels.... Im starting on the interior, the rear seats are being modified first, here they are stock. Now iv added putty to smooth it into a curve, it will need more putty probaly but il see once sanded and primered. Once iv got it how i want it i might resin cast it then add holes for a roll cage but we will see. Mockup of the interior, bucket seat, hydraulic handbrake, i will change the steering wheel. Im also using the paddle shifters and pedals from the revell enzo kit. I think im going to use a different bucket seat.
  8. The engine was not lined up properly before but now it is, i just need to make the engine mounts but i have no styrene rods so if anybody would be kind enough to send me some square rods. Filled indicators Started to sand, need to re-do the left 1/4 window because i sanded through the putty, the right one is perfect and iv started on one of the indicators.
  9. .
  10. Thanks for your help guys, il try getting my hands on these different things and see which is best for me.
  11. Its a race car im building and most 1:1 race car dashboards are flocked to prevent glare.
  12. i dont think its a brand but i just bought the cheapest off ebay a while ago, its called fun flock but embossing powder, i might have a look into that.
  13. I have flocking i usually use for the carpets in cars, i tried it on a dashboard and it doesn't look right, maybe too thick im not sure. So what would be the best thing to use for flocking the dash?
  14. Hey, porsche have done it with there new supercar there making its a 200mph+ superhybrid but i hate hybrids lol. Think of it like this, Italian styling, American Power, British ingenuity, can't go wrong really. Alot of you would think putting this engine in a supercar would be pretty much murder but it would look alot nicer in the engine bay when finished....trust me :S more pics tomorrow, iv worked on the engine mock up alot more since these pics.
  15. Thanks man, if i had the money this is how i would build a 1:1 scale enzo so i want to make it unique. Thanks for the offer but for this im sticking with a 426 hemi (once i get another one). Heres a few new pics with a mockup motor, the stock gt500 supercharger looked abit small in this cars engine bay so i went diggin and found the custom one u built so il probaly use this one on the 426, il fill the holes in the top and fab a intake for the back of the supercharger. There is quite a gap now between the engine and firewall because its now a V8, once the drivebelts are on i will see how much room is left and probaly try fit the turbos in there, they should fit but il see.
  16. So i began mocking up the rear half of the roll cage and discovered there will be problems if i try stick the V12 in there so once iv got some money in my PP i will order the ford 427 engine as i will fit much better in the gap, if i decided to use the V12 i would have to cut away part of the roll cage and when i was mocking up the drivebelts hit the seats. Iv not decided what to use for air intakes yet, that will come when iv got the engine but im thinking a twin cold air induction kit but i dont know how im going to make the cold air hoses go from the back of the car to the front bumper.
  17. OK change of plan with this car, i was just going to use it for paint testing because its curbside but then i thought it would be a shame to waste a nicely moulded full detail level 4 kit but i still wanted a engine in it, so keeping with my custom builds. Here it is mocked up with 1 of the front bumpers, roof scoop and some nascar wheels. Im wanting to get a set of wheels that are the stock wheels for most UK cars, the thicker tyres give it a more muscley look i think, the wheels im looking for are 4 bolt wheels, this is one from my Dads escort. Reason i want these style wheels is at the moment round my area people just seem to be running these stock wheels on their focus' but in matte black, they make the car look nice i think, one of the only cars that suits stocks. Anyway, heres the engine im putting in, its going in the back. Yep thats right, the V12 from a ferrari enzo, can't say its not....different haha.
  18. hmm....shame really, i guess im still hunting then....... acctually those wheels will work as they are for a track car, thanks for your help guys.
  19. hmm...those wheels do look very similar, hopefully they do have detail as its a level 4 kit? i dont wanna end up buying the whole kit though just for the wheels :/
  20. Im trying to find these style wheels for a project im working on. Im not sure if any kits have them or if anybody makes them from resin but these are the ones that are on my Dads escort, they are the basic wheels fitted to alot of UK cars.
  21. Ok so this whole V8 idea isn't exactly catching on but im sticking with it because apparently the F70 is going to have a twin turbo V8, im not exactly trying to make a F70 from the enzo but i want to give it a twin turbo, supercharged v8, it will also have some body styling added like the roof scoop (not 100% decided), front bumper moulded to the body and a mild spolier added. I know its not a real car but i hate the noise a V12 makes. Not much work has been done on this but here we are, still in mock up stages, these are the type of wheels i want to use but i need to find a set that are slightly bigger for the rear wheels. I also want to change those ugly headlights if i can and graft somthing nicer on but its all still in the early stages, i will have a blueprint design up soon to show how i want it to end up like. Oh by the way, that ferarri V12.....its going in the back of the ford focus, a superhatch
  22. Alright so its just more mocking up until i get some primer, paint, resin parts ect but none of that can be done without money. Im going to stick with the v10 over the v6, its perfectly lined up in the engine bay but the interior hub is slightly off center, as you can see the right side pertrudes in more so the strutbrace won't line up properly, i might have to try get another hub for it but this one will do for now. I I know this is a detail but for the dials i used a decal from the gt500 decal sheet just because it has more dials on the decal. I tried different seats for it but some wouldn't fit. Iv chosen this seat because it lines up with the steering wheel better then the stock seat, the only thing i don't like is the moulded seat braces, they should sand off pretty easily. Still alot of modification to go, think this thing would be road legal? haha heres pics as it stands now. and a updated plan, i just can't draw the spolier....
  23. Haha, i guess great minds do think alike, i wanted to get one of your big turbos for this car but i don't know if you have started to sell them yet, the pics iv seen of them though look great, a proper turbo unlike the ones you get with model kits. Iv already started on the engine, im altering some big block v8 cam covers right now to fit the v6, they should look much better once complete, my main goal though is to graft a different tranny onto the engine. Im looking forward to see your scratch built engine.
  24. thanks for the comments guys, i was thinking of sticking a v6 in instead of the v10 so i could fit a big turbo in but im not sure yet.
  25. My dad has about 9 tattoos on each arm, he got his first when he was 17, hes now 52, he doesn't regret getting them its just the black ink has faded so much now, i asked him why he doesn't get them re coloured but it costs to much now, his cost him £3 each back then but they take the cheese now, thats why im going for the cheap option.
