  1. Nice score on the truck, i would have bought it for alot more if i lived in the states, hopefully i will one day. Nothing in the post for me today There was no postman down out street saturday or today, its a culdesac so they can't really miss it or get lost down it. I phoned the mail service and they said this can happen every so often but when it does there is a high chance most, if not all the stuff your waiting for will come the next day......lets see shall we.
  2. I agree but i think they would only really work on lighter colours well but its worth trying on darker colours, i know what im getting tomorrow now
  3. I have a question....are there any online shops, UK based that sell the kit? Im wondering because i used to have this kit but it got destroyed by the neighbours fire (long story). I usually hate amt kits but this one was more like revell quality, it was a easy kit to build, the only bad point was the crappy exhaust tip but apart from that it was one of my top 10 favorite builds. so back to my question, any online UK shops that sell it or US shops with cheap shipping to the UK?
  4. I dont think anybody made a 1/24 gremlin but i know amt made a 1/24 pacer. Its a very similar body style, with abit of modifcation you could probaly make it look like a gremlin.
  5. Well on this germany kit, the bonnet does not open so no engine either, the exhaust is moulded to the chassis too which is a let down. The front window glass on this kit also has the side doors glass too, i only really ent for this kit over the 2 in 1 tuner kit because i prefer the front bumper on this kit. I think i will probaly cut out the moulded exhaust once i get some new dremmel blades and hobby knife but im not sure yet. Iv painted the stock wheels, not fully painted yet, one more coat of black just to cover any missed spots then il clear coat them to make them look better. These are probaly the nicest moulded wheels iv come across, i am expecting some aftermarket wheels so if they are too big il use these stock ones. As for the paint....im thinking a mid shade of metallic blue, smoked tail lights and perhaps some black racing stripes, also some car window tint obviously on the windows.
  6. Alright got this kit this morning, i could not find a subaru within my budget so i got a focus instead. This is my favorite focus of them all so far and its the closest thing in model form i can get to my real car (mg zr) but iv sent a request to tamiya to see if they will make my car as a model as it was in the WRC and they seem to have made most of the other rally cars. This kit has its good points and bad points, good points are, everythings nicely moulded, alot of decals with it, nice set of wheels with soft rubber slick tyres, no warping on any parts, very little flashing, great detail ect ect. Bad points, there are tiny holes in the body to point out where decals should line up, exhaust system is moulded to the chassis along with driveshaft, the hood is moulded to the body so there is no engine included, the tail lights glass is not very well detailed, with most new revell kits the put the detail of the tail lights on the body but with this they have tried to put it on the glass. This is a level 4 kit, im not building it like the rally car, growing up in a tuner enviroment i know how i want to build it, heres how it stood out of the kit, again on my "body mounts" with wheels just stood in the wells.
  7. alright, il forget that project, i was going to get it just because it was cheap but iv never really been a fan of chevrolet or amt/mpc.
  8. Hi, i was wondering if anybody has built this kit and if they could tell me the quality of it? So far in that fast and furious model iv had the charger and the eclipse, the charger was bad, very bad quality, the eclipse wasn't too bad, the only problem i remember is the body being slightly warped but other then that it was a good kit. So what should i expect...the doom and gloom quality that the charger had or the good quality that the eclipse had?
  9. Paint looks sweet, no bleeding, no orange peel, you have skill man.
  10. This may be abit off topic but have you thought about producing some tuner car parts? Civics, Imprezas, Lancers, Mini ect I personaly would really like a resin body of my 1:1 car, a MG ZR MK1.
  11. Ok definate fonal decision haha...the subaru i was going to order, i had to buy it through amazon for £14 shipped so i thought well screw that il find another kit. I couldn't find another subaru round that price so i decided to go with the rally car i originally wanted, a revell mcrae/sainz kit. This is not only my favorite focus but its one of my favorite cars too. This only cost £8 including postage, and its in the UK so it will get to me fast.
  12. Wow thanks man, no worries about the other header, i think i could probaly make another one. Thanks again.

Iv never been able to draw cars, i wanted to draw one for my final exam back when i was at school so i went to the teacher for guidence but she didn't know either
  14. Wow your mustang looks like a real brute, yeah il take the gt500 engine Thanks.
  15. I had to strip the paint because i noticed abit of flash on each side of the front bumper but its fine. I got the strut brace from revell of america today, the chrome will be striped and painted titanium silver. I should recieve the gt500 hood and decals from revell of germany soon, then i can focus more on the interior. Here are some pics i got as the sun was setting. I finaly got the rear emblem holes filled properly, there was a tiny gap before but now its all filled. All for now....
  16. Ah right, even so it looks like a great moulded kit, love the paint colour, il be watching this project.
  17. Is this the amt tokyo drift kit? If it is this is probaly the best amt kit iv seen!
  18. This is what i got today, direct from revell, not much but its a key part for my build. Just a mock up, sorry its not straight but it kept falling off. Im just waiting on the gt500 hood and decals now.
  19. Does anybody make resin parts for specificly a revell 2004 impreza? I could probaly make tamiya ones fit too though.
  20. Welcome to the forum Dave, nice to see somebody else from the UK here.
  21. Think your right, i find the older muscle kits eaiser to work on for some reason. Ok final decision, decided to go with the colour me gone for £13 shipped and a revell 2004 impreza for £13 shipped. I find it only right to do a subaru as i live in the UK, lots of them here, expecialy here in York.
  22. They look great, this is a wierd question but have you got any shots of just the chassis on wheels?
  23. Good news guys, i can afford both kits, some resin parts for the mustang and paint, ebay sale sold for more then i was expecting.
  24. Wait a second....how large an area would the lasers scan? I have a friend who has a 1:1 unpainted bodyshell of my 1:1 car (MG ZR), as far as i know nobody makes a ZR kit so im thinking, scan it with the hood, tailgate, doors, ect on it then shrink it down on the pc to 1:24 scale and then print it.
  25. OK, i don't use tamiya thinner, people say its best for tamiya paint but i get brilliant results from tap water.
