I got mine today. It looks very good to me! I will be recreating the car I had in high school. I've waited a long time for this and I'm very excited!

No, but I have given some SERIOUS thought to building a 1/1 version of this model I did a few years ago. I've even priced everything out. The only thing holding me back is that I've got a family and we wouldn't all be able to enjoy it together.

The buckets are supposed to be dark colored.

Is it just the picture, or is the tub really that shallow? Looks amazing by the way!!

Thanks for the Blast From The Past!! I built this kit as a kid and seeing yours took me back! Yours looks a little better than mine did though...

I use Dolphin Glaze spot putty. It's a 2-part putty that you can order online or get from an auto paint supply store. I like it because it sets up quick, doesn't shrink and it sands easily.

When I was a service advisor, the dealership I worked at sent me down to Dallas/Fort Worth to drive the new (at the time) Mazda Speed MX-5. It was sooo awesome. There was a driver's class, hot laps with a professional driver and then we also got to take several laps of our own! Oh, and yes, I was getting paid the whole time!

No, I haven't but I'm putting his Thunderbird engine in Monogram's '40 Ford pickup which is 1/24 scale and it seems awfully 1/24ish to me!
