  1. Mode; building can be as task, but it all depends how far one wants to go in building a certain model. If a person wants to build a "perfect model" which there isn't any, he may have so many dollars, time, scratch building, into that one model it's more like a chore to build that kit rather than something that's enjoyable to build. Some builders take their skills to the "next level" while others may just ad plug wires, a nice paint job, neat assembly, and call it a day. I build for "Myself" in my own "comfort zone" and enjoy sharing my builds at the two model car clubs I belong to. I no longer build to enter contests as I'm no longer a trophy hound. I take all the time I need (which is often too much ) to build a model and ad as little or as much detail as I care to put into that particular build. I build for the enjoyment of it just like I did back in the late 50's and early 60's.

  3. Very nice Tom, as I just love dem B-body Mopars!
  4. About the only time you cannot order a vehicle from the factory is when they're changing over the model year which is in the summer. And yes if you want a color other than what is always on hand like black, white, or silver a dealer will have to check on the web site or you'll have to order it.
  5. Congrats Alan as grand kids are great!
  6. My most recent truck had to be a "special order" as I wanted a 2-door to begin with and certain options. My wife wanted me to get a 4-door truck and I explained that we already had a 4-door sedan with a car seat in the back for our grandchild. The manufacturers have been pushing 4-door trucks for quite awhile now and they look like big sedans with no trunk lids to me. I told one salesman that if the trucks would come with 6-doors I would buy six of them and start a limo company. In the last 2+ years I've been happy with my latest truck.
  7. That Imperial is drop-dead-gorgeous Steve, as I just love dem Mopars!
  8. There was a built up (test shot) of that Ford GT at the Milwaukee NNL back in April of this year and it looked awesome.
