  1. I've seen those photos before and what an AWESOME place. I could never have a garage like that as I would be too overwhelmed. And who said anything about Jay???
  2. I've never had a problem with Testors Model Master primers and have used them several times. I also like the Tamiya primers as they are very thin. When I paint a body, I try to get away with as little paint as I can, so not to cover up the details. That means thin primer, less coats of color, and enough clear coats so that I can wet sand (polish) it out.
  3. Real nice build on that "split-window," and hopefully someday I'll build mine.
  4. Great job on that "Blue Oval" build as I just picked up two of those kits a couple of weeks ago.
  5. I'll have to try and get to the "open house" next year as it looks like I missed a good time.
  6. That's good news Joe as I was about to suggest using M-80's to remove the flocking.
  7. I was there when that photo was taken, how 'bout you Greg? Yes, I will be buying a few of these kits. I just hate "adding" more plastic to my already overwhelming "pile." Oh well.
  8. Great lookin' Mopar build and you CAN get one in 1:1 scale, just go to www.carsonline.com
  9. While my better half and I have put up minimal decorations in our house, next year we'll have to get a big tree and a train set to go around it as our new grandson will be a little over a year old then. After the train set, maybe a slot car set will be in order??? LOL! I don't do lights outside as I've worked off many ladders when I was working for a living and I'm done with that, unless I have to paint or clean gutters.
  10. While it may be true that "original issues" are far more valuable than re-issues, I can take an original kit valued at say $150 and a re-issued kit valued at $27 dollars and build them both exactly the same, put them on the table and no one can tell the difference.
  11. I'll have to check them out as I have a Hobby Lobby 1/2 mile from the house. Thanks for the info JT.
  12. Are those the same tires that come in the Color Me Gone kit?
  13. Your rod project is lookin' good, really good!
  14. While I LOVE Mopars, I'm gonna pass on the new 'Cuda kit as I have WAY to much to build already.
  15. I very seldom use enamels in the rattle cans, and maybe that's a good thing?
  16. I hope the contest turns out well for you Ian, as it has been "slim" for the last three years, especially last year I'm sorry to say.
  17. I really don't seem to have a problem spraying Testors, Tamiya, or Duplicolor in rattle cans. Maybe I'm just lucky?
  18. That looks great, and what did you use to polish out the body? I just love dem Mopars!
  19. Back in the 60's I don't recall ever seein' those type of wheels on any gasser.
  20. Yes the town of Washington, Illinois really got hit bad and the news coverage is really heartbreaking. Even though one sees all the damage on the news, it's kinda hard to imagine what those people have gone through and now have nothing but hope.
  21. Harry's not going to move, it's just talk as it has been for awhile.
  22. At least on your models Harry.
  23. Sure the cars are over 40 years old. Why would anyone go to see new Corvettes, Chargers, Challengers, Camaros, and Mustangs when they can see them at their local auto show or at the dealers show room?
  24. Exciting? New kit releases were exciting back in the 60's & 70's, but not anymore for me.
