  1. Just call in sick, like "sick & tired." LOL!
  2. While I have plenty of kits in my "stash" to keep me busy building for life, buying more kits to ad to the pile is "getting old." Sure I will buy a kit now and then, but I'm cutting way back and hopefully increase my buy to build ratio.
  3. EXACTLY what I was going to say Harry.
  4. I was at the S.L.A.M. (Southern Lakes Auto Modelers) club meeting last night in Delavan, Wisconsin and another great time as always. This was our last summer meeting where we meet on Thursdays and we'll return to Saturday 10am-2pm meetings next month on the third Saturday for our winter meetings. No rules, no by-laws, no drama, no BS, just an enjoyable time.
  5. You keep posting those beautiful Mopar builds and I'm gonna hafta dig into my JoHan "stash" and build a couple also. Real nice job!
  6. That Dodge is a beautiful build and I just love dem Mopars.
  7. Love those '40 Sedans as I just built one earlier this year as a (legal) '39 gasser. None of this phony street gasser/ street freak stuff that the "other mag" is pushin.'
  8. It is lookin' real good and American Graffiti is one of my FAVE movies.
  9. Berr13 is right as there is a nice set of ribbed chromed valve covers in the Revell Parts Paks Pontiac 421 c.i. V-8 Engine kit.
  10. Real nice job on your Li'L Gasser build as I built one just last year, and it's a neat kit to have on one's shelf.
  11. I've been in this hobby for a long time now, so I didn't expect anything more than new box art and decals. The mfg.'s are simply trying to get more "bang" for their buck.
  12. Welcome to the forum and do yourself a BIG favor and stay off the booze. In time, you'll be very happy you did.
  13. Life is good, and God is great. Always praise him, and yes he does listen to our prayers.
  14. Please do, as I'd like to meet more members of this forum. I often look and my "stash" and wonder why??? LOL!
  15. Uhhhh, driveshaft???
  16. Nice build and it looks like it's ready to rumble.
  17. The PM function works well at times when members need to take things "off board."
  18. Those are "metalflake paints" that you are referring to and are quite different from metallic paints.
  19. I've known Jimmy for years and he is a likeable guy. He has a number of builders do masters for him. I'll probably see Jimmy at the club meeting tomorrow night.
  20. Rub off? Are the seat belts going in the model or are they going to be used? I've been using masking tape for seat belt material for years and paint them with Testors enamel paints before putting them on the seats, but after I've put on the hardware. I hope this helps.
  21. Perry's Resins makes them and they can be found in MPC's '57 Chevy kit with the flip front end. Also maybe in the MPC kit of the "53 (?) Ford pick up kit with the flip front end too, but I'm not sure.
  22. Over the last several years there have been a LOT of people who've lost their jobs, and I consider this NO different.
  23. You DO have a valid point there. LOL!
