  1. I'd be very careful as to who I send money to for donations. The President and CEO of the American Red Cross makes over $500,000 per year and claims that it does not come out of monies donated, and salaries come out of the "general operating fund." And gee, that money must come from the sky, don't you think?
  2. I do finish a model a week, except that I pick the weeks. LOL!
  3. Thanks, no nightmare as you just gotta be very careful with the hinge. I still have to grease or oil mine to make it easier to open and close. The paint is out of a "rattlecan."
  4. Good? I'm really not too happy with my model photos, however I really like the photos I take of the 1:1 cars with my "film camera." Thanks for the compliment.
  5. Went to a car show in Joliet yesterday at the Hooters in the Joliet Mall and the show was packed. All the parking spaces were filled and the show spilled out into the Sears lot as well. Lots of beautiful cars, Hooter girlz, rock 'n roll music, good food, and just plain fun. I did take some pics with my "film" camera that I sometimes use for reference or motivation. I also did two cruise nights last week, I'm missing one tonight, and I'll make one on Saturday in Fox Lake. I just LOVE the summer months! Yes, I'm still buildin' some also.

    Nice build on that Cyclone.
  7. You have to get the "acid-free" sheet protectors. I got mine at Office Max and they''re made by Avery PV119-25/75304 Heavyweight Sheet Protectors. I've had mine for several years now and have no problems with my decals and I like having my decals in "book form" so I don't have to handle all my decals everytime I'm lookin' for one.
  8. Nice build on that Futura, real nice!
  9. Nice build on that Charger as ya just gotta love dem Mopars!
  10. I've heard of the Quaker Steak & Lube Cruise night and know people who go there, as well as Captain Bob & Arlo from Wisconsin Hot Rod Radio, however it is a bit too far for me to travel for a cruise night than I like. Kenosha is closer for me. Thanks.
  11. Don't forget to get the wheelz from AMT's Riviera kit also.
  12. Maybe it's the "Canadian connection" that works well for you?
  13. Bring a former Boy Scout, Cub Scout Chairman, and Boy Scout leader. I know the importance of achieving the Eagle Scout Award, and I highly recommend that you complete it as it will help you down the road. You CAN do it and good luck.
  14. It was a small cruise night, but not bad for their very first one. some good lookin' cars, the food was good, and the "Tilted Kilt girllz" were cute. A friend of mine showed up with a "bitchin" flamed '55 Chevy. They'll be doing this cruise every Thursday night from now on. Stop by and check it out.
  15. Yes, take your model to a good model railroad hobby shop and tell the owner what you'd like to do, and hopefully he'll be able to suggest something. That's what I would do.
  16. Sounds great and I can come over and eat it so you have more room on the grille. LOL! Hey, I'm just tryin' to help out.
  17. Hope you have a great time Dennis and it was good seeing you and Rod at the Milwaukee NNL this year.
  18. That is cool Harry. A friend of mine has a ! : ! ;67 GP convert that he plans on restoring. The '67 is the ONLY year that Pontiac offered the convertible on the Grand Prixs.
  19. One visit to Mars Cheese Castle was enough for me.
  20. I believe there's an Awesome Hobbies in Fort Myers, Florida as well.
  21. Cruise night starts tomorrow Thursday May 16th at The Tilted Kilt in Kenosha from 5 - 9 pm and I hope to see some of you there. Bring your camera for some great reference photos as well.
  22. We call them "pizza" boxes and yes on some, I had to tape them on the inside with masking tape.
  23. I just finished this "stalled" build the other day of MPC's '57 Chevy with the tilt front end and painted in Testor's Mythical Maroon and BMF for the trim. The suspension has been raised 3 scale inches all around and the header flanges and Dzus fasteners are photo-etched items. The wheelz are from one of Revell's '32 Ford kits and I also added a pre-wired dizzy and an Accel Super coil. There's funny fur for the maroon carpeting in a grey colored interior. <a href="http://s818.photobucket.com/user/itsagas1320/media/Model%20Cars/DSC03016_zps7f513d3b.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz104/itsagas1320/Model%20Cars/DSC03016_zps7f513d3b.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo DSC03016_zps7f513d3b.jpg"/></a> <a href="http://s818.photobucket.com/user/itsagas1320/media/Model%20Cars/DSC03011_zps336b0875.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz104/itsagas1320/Model%20Cars/DSC03011_zps336b0875.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo DSC03011_zps336b0875.jpg"/></a> <a href="http://s818.photobucket.com/user/itsagas1320/media/Model%20Cars/DSC03009_zpsb99e6db8.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz104/itsagas1320/Model%20Cars/DSC03009_zpsb99e6db8.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo DSC03009_zpsb99e6db8.jpg"/></a>
