  1. Yes, my referenc library contains about four dozen books and LOTS of magazines and I'm glad I have this at my fingertips.
  2. I'll be lookin' for you Ian.
  3. I ran out of money a LOOOOOONG time ago. LOL!
  4. I either hand paint the headliner after the body has been painted and cleared, or I'll spray paint the headliner after the body has been primed. After the headliner has dried, I'll mask it off and paint and clear the rest of the body.
  5. I hope all goes well for you and that you have a SPEEEEDY recovery.
  6. I haven't had any "bench rage" in quite awhile, but I do remember in the mid 60's crushing a nicely painted Chevy Impala body in my bare hand after I messed up on painting the chrome trim.
  7. Jerry, I've been in model car clubs since '75 and it is a lot of fun and you get to see a lot of other people builds and you can learn from them also. The MOST important thing about any model club whether it be cars, planes, ships, military, is Show N' Tell where members display their builds and tell you about them and field your questions about their builds. While I don't consider myself a terrific builder, I do like my builds and enjoy bringing them to club meetings as well as NNL's and an occasional contest also. I have learned a lot from other builders and by going to a lot of model car shows. This forum is a great place to see what others are building and also to ask questions as most or everybody is willing to help.
  8. A friend of mine made copies of those videos for me and they are well worth watching. I don't know if I have the paint video also, I'll have to look as I know that I viewed the video at one time.
  9. Not today, but last Saturday our model car club held an auction and I had picked up the Rescue 911 Dodge Van and also the Black Force Snapfast Slammers kits.
  10. at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals Car Show located at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont (Chicagoland), Illinois. The same location as the recent iHobby Show on Sat. Nov. 19th and Sun. Nov. 20th. Free entry and pass to get you in on Sunday.
  11. An excellent book and was first published eight years ago. I was lucky to pre-order mine and have it autographed by Larry Davis himself. I don't recall what I paid for it as I have bought several books since then. Larry's other book SUPER STOCK Drag Racing the Family Sedan is another must-have book in my reference library.
  12. I picked up a 1/4 oz. jar of Testors Flat Black yesterday at my LHS and it was priced at $1.39 + tax.
  13. I've got that issue in my mag stash and as I don't remember seeing the article, thanks for pointing it out.
  14. Thanks, but it's not my birthday today and I hope that I have many more as I have a LOT of plastic to put together.
  15. As long as the USPS is slow with delivering the bills and junk mail, that's okay Harry. I only want them to speed up delivery on checks and magazines.
  16. While not really stocking up, I do have a few kits with painted bodies that are stalled that I could and should finish. I also have plenty of kits, paints, supplies, etc. to keep me going over the winter months. Of course i do like to get out once in awhile and go "hobby shopping" too.
  17. While I don't live in Florida, I love being down there on vacation as I was there earlier this year and also three years ago. I especially like the area surrounding the Gulf. Clearwater, Tampa, St. Pete's, Ft. Myers Beach, Sanibal & Cptiva Islands, and Key West also.
  18. Bad??? That Imperial looks nice and I really like the color and interior also.
  19. While we have flurries today, I'm hopin' to rake more leaves, cut the lawn one more time and fertilize also as well as clean out the downspouts and put away the deck furniture. How about you?
  20. Glad you're going with the Fujimi wheels as they look great!
  21. Awesome job on that build Ira and very well executed.
  22. What, nobody built the "Bluesmobile?"
  23. That project of yours looks pretty cool and a really good idea.
  24. BTW, I forgot to mention that I use lacquer in rattle cans.
