  1. Good thing you mentioned it Harry, as I'll be ordering mine next week instead of next year like I was planning to. Thanks!
  2. Derrick, a well stocked hobby shop will carry acetate in clear, smoke, and other colors which is great for glass in any kind of model car and the colored acetate is really good for gasser builds. I use 5 minute epoxy for all my windows as it has a strong bond and dries clear.
  3. The latest issue of Gasser Magazine came in the mail last week and there are pics of more than 75 gassers as that's whenI stopped counting. I've been subscribing to this mag since '03 and it's great!
  4. While my build count is low for the year so far, my "buy" count is way up and hopefully next year I can reverse the two, we'll see what next year brings.
  5. "Back in the day" the gasser class was called: Gas Coupes & Sedans so therefore there were NO roadsters, convertibles, or anything topless in that class PERIOD!
  6. The only time my model parts or bodies get painted on areas that won't be seen is overspray, otherwise why bother painting some place you KNOW won't be seen???
  7. I haven't visited this thread for awhile and I see that lotsa really nice builds have been added. Great job guys and keep them coming as the "staging lanes" are OPEN!
  8. Matt is right as when you spray a light coat of clear along the tape edge before your second color, it will bleed clear if at all. Wait 20 minutes and then spray your second color.
  9. The "Gasser Wars" book by Larry Davis and also "Supercharged Gas Coupes" book by don Montgomery are EXCELLENT reference books and one could learn a LOT by reading both books and studying the photos.
  10. Really nice job done on that street rod.
  11. While I haven't bought the Hudson kit only because I have no interest in one, I have heard great reviews on this kit. Art, will the 300 be as good as the Hudson kit? I'm looking forward to getting one.
  12. Nice job on that Riv Steve. Where did you get the photo etched set from? Thanks.
  13. That Impala looks good to me John and don't let a sheet of foil intimidate you! If you don't like foiling you can always build street rods or dragsters.
  14. Welcome Colton to the forum and I hope that you enjoy it as much as I do. There are a great bunch of guys here and a LOT of building talent to say the least.
  15. Rumor has it that the '57 Ranchero and also a wagon will be coming out of the 57 Custom molds in the future as Revell will be getting the most "bang" for their buck out of those dies. Just hold on and build what you've got for now.
  16. That would be cool and also great for a dio.
  17. Nice projects you've got going there, but you have room for a couple more yet.
  18. Doesn't the kit come with pre-painted Todd & Buzz figures also?
  19. That '40 Ford looks great and I just love the color as I just painted a dragster body that color recently.
