  1. Cool! That's got THE look! Sweet build!
  2. Droogie, thanks....I never thought of that. Yea, that would work. Spray over the decals and lightly sand them down to get the desired effect. That just might solve my problem...I'll try it and see how it works. Worse that can happen is I have to paint it all over again. Thanks again guys...I appreciate the input
  3. Way cool...I had a 1:1 of this car.....well, sort of. It was a glass kit car on a v-dub chassis. Looked way cool though, I loved it!
  4. Good idea. Actually I was hoping to get them in white. I'm going to do the truck in faded light blue with primer showing through and shot with a dull coat to look flat and oxidized and look like weathering and sanding. The rod's going to have a barn find, 50's-60's WIP look to it...I hope! Unfortunately, I don't have a printer. However, I can put together the fonts and the pattern in a .jpg format if someone could print 'em for me. Thanks for the info...sure appreciate it
  5. Talk about losing it in the parking lot...
  6. Does anyone make, or know where I can get, custom made weathered decals in 1/25? I'm looking for something that looks almost faded out like it was painted 50 years ago and almost gone. What I'd like is this: Mikes Speed Shop and...this has to fit on the drivers door of a 29 ford pick-up... Appreciate any help...thanks guys
  7. Wow, that's cool! A friend had one of those in H.S; all primered black and gutted, and we used to pile a dozen guys and surfboards in it and travel up and down the so.cal. coast. That brings back some fond memories...thanks
  8. Oh man, that came out really nice! I can hear this now... " Honey, I know you said no more model kits, but you really have to see this really sweet woodie... I want one!"
  9. Sweet Riv...LOVE the colors! I hear music here...* All..my..friends..drive lowriders*...
  10. LOL...I remember them being called Brodie knobs...came in real handy for spinning brodies..( cookies )...this was circa about early 60's
  11. WOW!!! truly impressive indeed!
  12. I can smell the fuel just looking at it...sweet!!!
  13. I've always wondered about a 53 stude with a 63 split window vette fastback on it and keep the stude fenders and tail end.......hmmmmm.....aggressive stance, polished torque thrusters...
  14. OK...I get it...you photoshopped your 1:1 car and passed it off as a model... Excellent build with sweet detail. I love the ignition keys, nice touch!
  15. I like the idea. That's going to be way slick when it's done. I've always loved non-mainstream rods, they fuel the imagination! Good job so far...I can't wait to see it done!
  16. GUYS, guys, guys.........why waste valuable storage space on old junk parts? Simply put 'em all in a box and send 'em to me! Heck, I'll even pay for shipping..... End of problem...wasn't that easy? Now look at all that extra room you have for MORE model kits...
  17. Incredible frame and suspension work...I'm impressed!! Can't wait to see it done.
  18. Ha ha ha...that's funny...I love it! Neat little rod!
