I will be more than happy to help you in any way I can Mark ............ I am such a fan of your builds -
This car was actually built from a Revell California Charger kit ................ Competition Resins provided the corrected body panels, blower & injector, and "392" valve covers ..................... the injector scoop was scratch built ................... MCW competition orange paint and Slixx decals I agree, I wish Revell would re-issue any of their 1/16th dragster kits ................ maybe Slixx would come up with some more decals for them

Very nice builds Neil ............ great work -
I'm finally removing this from my stalled list ................ after nearly ten years ............... four trips to the "purple pond" and five total paint jobs ............... I'm calling this one as complete as I can I will say that I'm disappointed in this body ................. it's from Competition Resins and while the casting is clean, the proportions don't match any chassis that I can find ........... Roger is usually very good at notifying us that the chassis we need to use needs to be modified to accept the body, however that was not the case with this body ............... the dimensions are too short to accept the specified late model Revell chassis .............. had I known ahead of time I might have tried to correct the situation .............. as it was, I didn't realize the fit was off until I attempted to attach the completed body to the completed chassis ..................... enough of that, I have used CR bodies many times in the past and will continue to do so in the future It's a Comp Resins Firebird body and a Revell chassis ............ Comp Resins also provided the wheels and the Crower injector and scoop ................ the rear fins and spoiler were scratch built ......... Testors Enamels and old, old Slixx decals which kept breaking despite the use of bonder Enough blabber........... here's the car

A Pair of 3's

Great looking builds ........... very nice work sir -
The elapsed times between the two (that I witnessed) were very similar ......... the good twins and singles ran close to the same times (seemed to me that the extra weight of the twins balanced out the extra horsepower, and a bunch of horsepower was lost in the coupler between the engines) .............. however the twins usually ran faster top end speeds (again, just my observations) However, the twins made a whole lot more "noise" ............. don't get me wrong, the good twins (John Peters Freight Train, Motes & Williams, Bill Mullins, Frakes & Funk, etc.) won their fair share of events. But some of the singles were very quick also.

According to terrylabontearchive.com Bobby was only scheduled to drive the car once during the 1999 season and qualifying for that race was rained out and the team missed the race. It states that "Terry did most of the driving with Justin making a few starts. Terry and Justin did all the driving in the 2000 car.
