  1. Off limits. That is the strangest thing ever to build from scratch, but as a fan of everything Mad Max, including painting my own Ford flat black just in case of an apocalypse, I am adoring this and can't wait for more.
  2. Love the dirt! That's a breeze of fresh air.
  3. Smashin'! Absolutley love how it looks right now. Maybe except the Rivera front window... But hey, details.
  4. Awesome work so far. Although I am not sure if I'd go that way since there are some Falcon models out there, all race an so on, but I keep thinking that doing something outa nothin' is still more difficult than redoing already existing shapes. One way or another, grat project and I am looking forward how it'll turn out once on wheels. I love those cars, have the European versions myself: This lady is the lamest version with only 75 BHP out of a 1,6 litre Pinto Engine, but it was my daily driver for the past 3 years and almost 50 thousand miles, it was replaced with a Granada Mark I with a bit more power (2,6 litre V6) that I built over the summer: Since september the black car is my daily driver while the white one waits for a deserved rebuild back to it's former glory. And there are parts from Granada that'll fit the Falcon. Aussie V8's are plug and play ...
  5. Love the Cad, can't stand the wheels whatsoever. Really not. Bah! Sorry dude...
  6. What is the pinstripping from? Can I have a closeup of that cat? I'd love to replicate this on one of my cars.
  7. Have this on "the bench" for a while now. Brilliant execution, the only thing that drags her down are the moon discs, I#d go with some period correct wheels, I think that those wheels make her a bit "toylookin"...
  8. Wicked awesome! I'm a fan already. Can't wait for more!
  9. Love the Hotwheels scaleup!
  10. Fantastic! Love it!
  11. Hello, Ed Roth is my hero. In every aspect you can imagine, his drawings, pinstripes, cars, personality. Whatever it is, I am interested in, and enjoy looking at his stuff. I was searching for a thread with his stuff around here, but didn't find much. And f I found something, it was really werid keywords, would be nice to have it all in one place. So please, link any of your finished Ed Roth builds here. Maybe you can tell something about those models? Which one is the worst, wich one might be the easiest?
  12. I have three questions. 1. Why did you paint the grille shell in that silver? Every single pic of a Bentley I've seen has the grille shell in chrome... 2. Looking at the whole thing, and comparing it with pics of the real car(s) I think that the structure on the body is a bit over the top, It seems that whatever they used to cover the body was less "different" from the rest of the car. Mosly just "flat". Also the color difference seems more subtile, I'd wash it a little, just to tone it down. 3. Given the fact that you are so incredibly skillfull, why did you not build the spokes out of wire or somethin'? Now, when you have it all together, they annoy a bit because you can see that they are molded... Other than that, I love it. Hopefully mine in 1:25 will be half as good.
  13. I am speechles. Unbelievable.
  14. I regret that I dind't pick up this kit when a local toystore was closing for good...
  15. Awesome work! Almost a shame to cover it in glossy paint! This one screams flat! I am blown away.
  16. Yea, no option to save 'em... As far as I know he made this hat by himself and casts it just for own purposes.
  17. http://www.peter-lepold.de/fury_monaco.html These are not mine, but they are the best ever. Especially the Fury is a blast. They were built by a german resident, mr. Leopold. Beautiful and inspiring stuff...
  18. Thanks so much! Great stuff!
  19. Very cool. I don't lkie the horns though, but the rest is absolutley spot on. Howdya make the windows look like they look? And some pics of the interior?
  20. Beautiful! Not sure about dragsters in general, but the build, detail and overall "experience" is amazing.
  21. It strongly reminds me of Doug Dorr's Pontiac. I see it with dark green interior, with lighter inserts, and tons of pinstripes in gold and red. Keep them pics comming!
  22. Thank you Louis! Mister Cranky, it is the Polar Lights Ecto-1 snapkit. It is a bit crisper in overall detail, and a bit slimer than the AMT. (and cheaper) The body is almost identical, but the AMT Kit sports separate pieces for the taillights and the running lights in the grille. Both models need some drilling (molded in headlights) and if you go for an Ecto the AMT features better detail. On the other Hand it is much easier to build a stock Miller-Meteor out of the Polar Lights Kit, since it has the stock bumper in the back. The AMT also features one piece glass, that is molded in transparent plastic, but it has some thin lines engraved along the side windows (that is where the windows on the movie car were dark), the Polar Lights kits windows are two separate parts (from the B-Pillar to the back it is a black piece), and front is just plain clear, but beautifully molded, absolutley tramsparent. The windscreen seems to have a better shape too. If I had to choose, then I#d take the Polar Lights kit. Oh, and the PL has some beautiful whitewalls and stock hubcaps, whereas the AMT sports steelwheels with dogdish (one piece) and some wide Good Years.
