  1. This kit isn't perfect, but it has a lot of decent parts. Only thing it's missing, in my opinion, is an I-beam front axle. It would have been nice if Revell decided to build an all new frame that is somehow compatible with other 32 kits, but this kit is a step forward in the right direction regardless of the frame.
  2. Thanks Steve.
  3. What kind of rims does #1 pack tires fit? Would they fit rims from Revell's 32 Ford 3/5 Window Coupes?
  4. Thanks Nate. I'll look into getting one, but first I need to find out if they come with a Buick grill.
  5. Chuck, this is my fav 1:1 32 Tudor. Just an idea... http://www.streetrodderweb.com/features/1105sr_1932_ford_tudor_sedan/viewall.html
  6. McMullen roadster is probably be the best idea for a 32, but only if they make it with correct I-Beam front end and correct quickchange rear end.
  7. Now that I think of it, Revell shouild make an 'AV8' highboy - a Model A Ford roadster, preferably 1929 since body is much more noticeably different from a 32, with a 32 grill on 32 chassis with a hopped up flathead V8 with offy heads. I-Beam axle and quickchange rear end are welcome. I think that would be a good idea, building an AV8 without having to kitbash 8 different kits for parts.
  8. Is Boyd's version an old tool or a new tool model? If old, did it include the Buick grill and some other goodies from the old tool kit?
  9. ^ what's wrong with the Boyd's version? I never heard of it until just now and after googling it, it looks like a regular version with big rims.
  10. That original box art is amazing. Thanks for sharing Casey.
  11. No particular order. 1. 1932 Ford 3 Window Coupe 2. 1940 Mercury Coupe (chopped kustom) 3. 1949/50 Mercury Coupe 4. 1955-57 Mercedes 300SL Gullwing 5. Mercedes CL63 AMG 4Matic AWD - Daily car
  12. Thanks George. As for posting problem, what web browser are you using?
  13. Thanks for the info everyone. George, are those the rims it came with? I'm trying to see what kind of secondary rims (mags) and tires the kit (with black car box art) comes with.
  14. Is it same kit as this?
  15. Thanks Bill. How is the engine in the Phaeton kit and what rims does it come with? Pics would be appreciated, built or unbuilt.
  16. I was wondering if anyone has built this kit. Is it the same kit as the AMT switchers? Any pictures of built models or parts would be appreciated. This is the box art:
  17. I don't mean to enter any arguments, but 65 and 66 Corvettes look nearly identical and I don't see why we would need more than 1 year of a C2 Vette... Also don't see the point in a 61 Corvette when there is the new Revell 62... Absolutely no point in tooling up every year of any generation of a car, unless they are radically different like the 54, 56, 59, and 62 Corvette C1s. As for the C2, C4, and C5, I think one of each gen. is enough, in my opinion.
  18. I was going to get this kit to build the drag/boneville version, but now it seems like I will be saving some money seeing how wonderfully this kit compares to the Revell version. Thanks a lot guys for saving me money!
  19. Read my entire post. I specified that (in my opinion) the kit will primarily sell well likely to correct parts that appeal to traditional crowd, not because of it being a TV car. I said I'm afraid that they (Revell) will think the latter and make more kits with TV cars on the box without much good parts inside. Period.
  20. I have used their service a number of times before and I must say they really are the best at customer service. Thank you Revell.
  21. That would be very nice. Lack of traditional deuce in 1/25 scale straight out of box is one of the biggest first world problems we are faced with on this forum
  22. I really think this kit will sell well... What I fear, though, is that Revell will think that it's selling well because of the awesomely executed 1:1 car that people try to copy... when, in my opinion, it will only sell due to modelers stocking up on those new firewalls and those rims/tires, possibly engine too. I really hope the next deuce they put out will have the correct front axle and be better molded with no flash. It'd be sad if they thought that cars from TV sell well so they make more kits that resemble TV cars instead of focusing on nicely done parts and traditional style hot rods.
  23. I wonder how much longer before we get the correct front axle and quickchange rear end in a 32 Ford kit. I think that's the only thing we're missing from Revell (in 1/25 scale) to build a McMullen Roadster.
  24. That looks beautiful. If only Revell would sell those firewalls by themselves.... I need like one or two... or 10 for all my other deuces.
