  1. Thanks for the link. I'd love to check out a show in Toronto.
  2. To be fair, there IS a time stamp on every post... I like seeing some old threads coming back. Sometimes I bring back old threads when I see an amazing model that has been posted years ago and I feel like it's worth sharing.
  3. Thank you for the chassis pictures.
  4. Is the chassis from Revell Model A kit? Also, could you post the under side pictures? I was plannin on building something similar, but you nailed it. Amazing model. I love it.
  5. It all depends on the car. Couple months ago I bought a brand new Hyundai Sonata and I don't think it will be a collectible car in the future because it's a 4 door. However, I do believe that most performance or luxury 2 door cars can one day become collectibles. Matter of fact, I can't think of any 4 door cars that were ever considered collectibles. If I ever get a brand new sports car like a Mustang or even a Hyundai Genesis Couple, I will try to keep it for ever.
  6. Yeah, I got same results. Say, you happen to know what engines the kit comes with? One appears to be a nailhead, but the other one I have no idea
  7. I really would like to see some build and WIP pictures of this kit.
  8. Just in case you still don't have the instruction, here is the online copy http://manuals.hobbico.com/rmx/85-1224.pdf
  9. Back to the design, I think it is very important in a car. I believe in balance so sure fuel economy and price are also important, but without design those other factors don't mean anything. Matter of fact, design was the main reason I purchased the new Hyundai Sonata. Though it may not be as outrageous or innovative as many other cars of the past, I think the Sonata gave most other cars in it's price category run for it's money when it comes to the design.
  10. According to Google the car Cranky posted is Carlo Mollino Bisiluro.
  11. Hello everyone. I recently realized I like models vintage dragsters and I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to provide any information and/or pictures of this kit. For some reason I did not know this kit exists until today. Sort of reminds me of the AMT Fiat double dragster kit, except it's clearly not a fiat. Any information is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
  12. This kit cannot come soon enough.
  13. I am also a car nut and I think the whole "rat rodding" thing is an insult to hot rodding community... I will never understand the point in spending a ton of money to make your car look like you have no put in any money into it at all... Then again everyone has a right to their own opinion and to liking certain things so I can't really knock on the style, I just do not understand it.
  14. Are those white walls decals or painted on?
  15. I don't know. I have been into cars and models since very young age. Then in my teen years I was too busy with chasing girls and other stupidity like drinking. Got back into the hobby at 19 years old when I saw the model section at Michael's. All it took was to build one model and I was hooked and been going at it for the past 3 years. I feel like even if younger generation are not into models, they may get into it later on so model building isn't going to die out as long as there are models in stores like walmart that people can see.
  16. I would very much like to see a 1939 Ford Coupe Deluxe and 1940 Mercury Coupe, maybe even a special series custom chopped version like they did with 48 Ford Coupe. I guess I don't care about muscle car kits because I am no longer a muscle car guy that I use to be. Somehow I fell in love with hot rods and kustoms. EDIT: I thought I'd add some pictures.
  17. I like the details on this build. Very nice.
  18. Is that drag tires with deep steelies I see? I likey.
  19. Sorry to knock almost every one of your points, but is it really necessary to put out same kit with a billion different variations? Only kid that deserves a million different versions is the 32 ford, and those aren't just "extra badges and minor details"
  20. What make and year? If you are talking about 32 ford then the revell 2 in 1 version (devil deuce) is best. Comes with a hemi and a 302 with a couple different intake systems. (Image not mine)
  21. Oh man loving your 1/43 soviet collections. My dad has some of the ones you have, but his are in a far worse condition. Maybe one day I will restore them.
  22. I've been told that this board uses third party software and due to licensing conditions can only be modified by the owners. Let's hope the owners see this thread.
  23. Just sent Dave an email.
  24. Well, it shows all content in one large page, opposed to multiple smaller pages. It's easier than going through 20 pages of pictures and content and clicking next every time...
  25. That's crazy! Why was I expecting the roadster from Deuce of Spades?
